If that isn't it I don't know what is. It's orange with the green stripe -- looks identical to the one in Hunters.

^They were pretty big, but nonetheless I still think the DS has higher capabilities than we're seeing.

MPH is a good example. It wouldn't have looked nearly that good on the N64. Mario 64's update was sharper and cleaner than the original N64 release; same with Diddy Kong Racing.

I'd probably say that the DS is superior to the N64 and inferior to the Gamecube, probably ranking somewhere inbetween. The system is capable of being a fantastic handheld, and it is, but the games library is what is dragging it down. Quality releases are necessary to evoke the potential of the system. MPH was a step in the right direction, but the trend needs to continue -- that's why I am disappointed to see the new Zelda doesn't look anything like Ocarina of Time. It should have been a 3-D platforming Zelda adventure.

I agree that the system is capable of more and we've seen flashes of that brilliance, but the system does have *some* long adventures such as Mario 64 and Rayman DS, alongside the Castlevania games. Perhaps the hardware isn't the problem so much as it is developers cutting corners because they'd rather port older games or trim down new adventures so they are more accessible on a handheld.

If you like 3-D platformers, Rayman DS and Super Mario 64 DS take forever to complete and are single player.

Why all the hate? Seriously, the graphics are much better on a DS Lite with the backlight, the camera fairs pretty well if you adjust it and I've had no problems with controls. 6.0 from GS? It's not SM64DS but come on, it's at least a 7.5.

Anybody else out there agree?

I would love ports of a lot of 3D N64 games because I never had an N64. I loved Mario 64 DS and I want to pick up Rayman even with all of the bad reviews it got.

Agreed.
