It's not becoming extinct! If you go to Amazon & Ebay you can get the older games that is not in store shelves anymore. Plus you get to play Ps1 games on it which gives it a lot more mileage than any other portable system out there. And also other Legacy system games that can be run on it. The PSP is like the handheld of the future. Even if we get a PSP2 it will still be backwards compatible as long as they don't change the UMD format.

There aren't many PS1 games available to download from the PSN... no where near the entire library and no FF7 which he inquired about.

"more mileage than any other portable system out there" Look at the DS. Its huge library of games plus the entire library of GBA games before it gives "more mileage than any other portable system out there", not the PSP. Not too mention th DS has A LOT of games announced for the coming two years.

I want to get a PSP, I'm waiting for E3 to see if there are any games announced that I would like to play. Right now the only games I want are MGS:PO, The Dracula X Chronciles, Crisis Core, Star Ocean 1 & 2 and DMC (if it's ever announced). That is almost enough to warrant a pick up for me. I'm hoping a nice RPG and some other games will catch my eye at E3.

No way that PSP is going to be extinct, there is a bunch of new games coming soon and it's the best portable console EVERNansho

Are you talking about its functions or its library of games... because its library of games is nothing compared to past Nintendo portables and its current success the DS. I like the PSP and am itching to pick one up but I don't think it's the greatest portable console ever... and if you want a portable multimedia system go with a BB.

Can we hope for the RE5 on Wii..?Panosola

Hopefully Capcom will port it to Nintendo's next console. I don't think it will be released for the Wii.

We don't need any remakes of any series

They're all playable right now on the Wii

Enough with asking for games already on the system.

Jaysonguy

He isn't asking for RE0... he is just letting us know it's in the works. As far as RE2 and RE3, I don't recall them being playable on my Wii. I would love for RE2 and RE3 to be remade for the Wii like RE1 was remade for the GCN.

Anywho, he wasn't asking for a game that was already on the system... just thought I would point that out. Also, if you don't like remakes then that is just your opinion.

I thought the Subspace Emissary was a bit of a let down. The online is okay. It's not that hard to get a match going after the second try... I just wish there were more online community features.

Overall it is a great game though and I think anything between a 9 and 9.5 would be fitting.

[QUOTE="thomasbcperry"]Wow. No one has suggested Dracula X Chronicles.sSubZerOo

Lets be frank one of the main draws for that game is specifically SotN and not Rondo of Blood.

It would be in my top 4. There are only 4 PSP games I would pick up. I'm hoping to hear of some new game announcements soon. I have been itching to buy one.

I have never played Rondo of Blood but I thought it would be somewhere along the lines of Symphony of the Night. I'll have to investigate a little more. They did upgrade RoB didn't they?

Great job. I had no idea there were so many RPG's coming out. The DS is the best system for RPG's this gen by far.

Good for Epic. I'm glad at least someone has the courage at the industry level to come out and say this.

As long as the industry still has forward thinking devs like this then gaming can continue to push forward as a legitimate entertainment medium, instead of being mired in the toy box as Nintendo would have it.

Nintendo's idea of "expanding" gaming only benefits Nintendo's pocketbook, while at the same time attempting to stifle the entire industry into backtracking on years of progress in gaming as a complex, high-tech, intelligent form of entertainment for adults, on the same level as motion pictures and music.

evilross

1. Epic would obviously talk garbage about a console that doesn't support the engine it built.

2. What message would they send to the suitors of their engine if they developed a game for the Wii.

Also, the entire industry has been nostalgic this gen... all platforms are releasing old hits. A lot of gamers are playing oldies and that is fine.

The Wii didn't make a graphical upgrade like the other systems... that is not stifling the industry... it's a business strategy that has paid off. They also introduced the point and click method from PC's to consoles... plus added motion control. Nothing wrong with that.

IMO the system combo to have this gen if you don't own all three is either the PSWii or Wii60. Either way... the Wii won't be denied. Its sales along with the DS have stifled the competition if anything.
