I promised these pics a month ago, but I've been really busy with finals and the computer crashing and all that :( I'm sorry :( The good news is that the computer is running a heck of a lot better :D And I got three A+'s this trimester :shock: In Latin, Government, and in Environmental Science :twisted: :D The environmental science A+ is a shock because half the class failed :lol: I shouldn't laugh, that's not funny :( :lol:

The hill was worth it though, becasue this view awaited us :D

So, onto updates :D Hmm... I really don't have too much to say :lol: I've been getting to know Logan a lot better lately :) We've been hanging out after school, and we still have 2 hour long phone conversations :lol: At this time, we have finally made it clear to each other that we both like each other, and now we're "unofficially going out" :) We can't really go out yet because of things we need to take care of first :( I'm not exactly sure when we'll be able to officially go out, but right now, we both seem content with the way things are :)

I went to the midnight premiere of New Moon the other night :D :D :D My sister and I went together, and we both sort of dressed up :lol: Since I'm Team Jacob, I wore my team jacob shirt and had pawprints on my face, and since Lindsay is team Edward, she had her Edward shirt on and brought along her bag, buttons, etc. Basically, anything with Team Edward on it :lol: :roll: As the movie played, I booed whenever Edward came on screen, and cheered when Jacob was on :lol: I wasn't the only one so I didn't look like an idiot :lol: The Team Edwards in front of me didn't find it very funny :lol: :wink: Oh well :lol: So the movie itself was really good :D :D :D I love it!!!! :D It was so much better than Twilight :D

Hmm...what else to say....:? :lol: I don't know :lol: I found out I'm a great bowler :D I went bowling last night with Lindsay, her boyfriend, her 2 friends, Logan, and Logan's brother :D I came in last on the first game because I didn't try, but I tried the second game, and I beat them all by a long shot :twisted: It was fun :D The best part about it though was that they all seemed to adopt me intot their group :D It's probably because Logan and I are sort of going out, but still :) It felt nice to have friends and hang out with them :)

Hmm...well, I've been on the computer all day so I'd better get off now :oops: I'll try to come online more :D

So my environmental science teacher showed us some really cool things in class yesterday :D :D :D She says the planets are in such an arrangement, that our gravity is off a little. Meaning? You can stand brooms and eggs on end! :lol: It sounds really stupid, but it looks really cool :D Kind of makes you feel dizzy after awhile though :? But you have to try it!!! :D I took some pics just now so you can see it :D It takes a bit to get the egg and broom balanced, but keep at it and you'll see :wink:

Nothing is holding this up. It's really standing on its own :shock:

Well, things have certainly taken an unexpected turn in my life....so much has happened lately, that it feels like the past few weeks have occurred over the course of a year! :roll:

Hmm...I really don't know where to begin :lol:

Well, I'll start with Logan :D I mentioned him in my previous blog. He was the senior who gave me the "unwanted attention" because of the skirt :lol: :roll: I was just beginning to know him at that point. Well, things between us have certainly progressed since then. We started off by just talking on the bus and in the mornings before the bell rang. Now, we talk every night for 1-2 hours :shock:, and he's become a very close friend :) Sometimes it feels like I've known him all my life... Anywho, he gave me his phone number on impulse just 3 weeks ago. Our very first phone call actually started off by him saying he didn't know why he gave me his number :lol: :roll:

Logan is actually a good friend of my sister's boyfriend. Logan talked to him about me, and he would then tell Lindsay, who would tell me :lol: :roll: Well, through them, I found out why Logan gave me his number: he liked me :shock: "like like" I mean :lol: And I sort of like him too :oops: He actually sort of asked me out last night....well, not technically. We played truth or dare, and he asked me what I thought about us going out eventually. Then I asked him the same thing :lol: His answer was so sweet! I won't tell you guys though :wink: That's my secret :P :twisted: We're not going out now, but we might in the near future :D I'm not sure yet....:oops: Too much has happened these past few months, and I don't want to get hurt again :cry: But I think this is worth the risk :) We'll see...

Oh I wish I could share all our conversations and stories with you! But, that would take forever :( I might tell some later because they're just too funny, but not now :lol: I will say one though: a few weeks ago, he walked by me to go down the stairs. I waved at him, and he turned back around to wave at me. In doing so, he failed to hold the door open as he walked through, and he ended up running into the door :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: I now call him doorstop :lol: :lol: :lol: But he calls me cupcake :evil: All because I told him a humiliating story about the time when I met Dan (my sister's boyfriend) :evil: I wore really bright pink gloves, a sweater, a hat, a shirt, and socks, and Logan said it reminded him of a cupcake :evil: So now he calls me cupcake :evil: Grr....:evil:

Oh! Also, a week ago today, he took me out exploring some nature trails he helped create :D It was one of the best night's of my life :oops: Except when I irritated him....big mistake :lol: He got attacked by squirrels once, so when I saw a squirrel above us, I told him to look out and run before it threw its nuts at him :lol: Logan told me to stop or he would throw me in the creek. I told him he wouldn't dare, and that he couldn't lift me. He asked if that was a challenge, and I jokingly said yes. So he picked me up, and tried to throw me in the creek! :shock: :evil: :cry: Grr....:evil: :evil: :evil: I didn't know until after that that he was a weight lifting champion for his age group :shock:

Okay, moving away from Logan :lol: :P I turned 18 this past Sunday :D :D :D :D I'M AN ADULT!!!!!! :lol: :twisted: It was a quiet birthday, but fun :D We went out to eat at Steak n Shake, and then went to the Halloween thingy at the zoo :lol: I had a ball :lol: And 2 days later, because I was 18 now, I got my first bank account :D It was very boring, but oh well :lol: My mom made me :roll:

On Monday, I went to a program at Purdue University called Women in Engineering :D I was super excited, and had a ball :D I checked out environmental engineering, and I really enjoyed it :D I'm thinking about it for a career, but I'm still torn between environmental science too....:(

Speaking of which, I went to the Indiana Sand Dunes on Wednesday :D Such a busy week! :lol: I got to school, and we left from there, and didn't get back until 6pm :) It was loads of fun! But it was a 3.5 hour bus ride there! :shock: Jeez! :roll: It was fun though :D I was on the bus with my friends, so we had fun and kept busy :) I took over 100 pics at the Dunes, so I'll try to upload some when I have time :) They're really very cool :) Except for the part where I got a sandbox in my shoes :lol: So much sand! :lol: :roll:

EDIT: I forgot to mention that Swine Flu (H1N1) has officially hit my school this week :shock: 150 kids were said to have called in this week. That's counting those who probably took advantage of the situation and said they were sick just to get out of school :roll: Among the many Swine Flu victims is Logan :shock: :cry: He was sent home this morning with a very mild case of it :cry: And I hung out with him a lot this morning too....hmm....I wonder when I'll get it??? :?

Gosh, so much has happened this month! :( I miss all you guys from tv.com :( Truly I do :cry: I miss the good old days when everything seemed right in the world :( Nothing to worry about but homework :( *sigh* I'm not even 18 yet and I'm already wishing for the "old days" :lol: :roll:

As you all know, my good friend Cassie died last week of cancer :cry: I went to her funeral on Thursday to say goodbye :cry: I drove 4 other people so it wasn't as bad as it could have been :( We were all there to support and console each other...knowing Cassie wouldn't want us to be sad and upset, we did the best we could to make each other laugh :) We did a pretty good job :D So many old memories to share....:) Most of the people I drove lost touch with me for a year or so :( It was great to catch up and become good friends again :) I know that's what Cassie always wanted...

That day, I dressed up and wore a skirt for the first time since my uncle's wedding 5 years ago or so... Many kids at school have never seen me out of a sweatshirt and jeans :lol: I didn't want to wear the skirt at school, but I always used to joke to Cassie that the day I wore a skirt to school would be the day the world flipped upside down :lol: :roll: She always laughed at me and said she would laugh and make fun of me if I ever wore one to school. So, in her honor, I wore the skirt to school so she could get her laugh in Heaven :lol: :cry:

Unfortunately, that also brought lots of unwanted attention to me :evil: :roll: My friends and I used to call my ex-boyfriend a parasite because he was always around me and would never leave me alone. Now, I have 4 parasites: 2 freshman, a senior, and my ex :roll: Now Cassie is really getting a good laugh up there :lol: :roll:

The senior I don't mind though :) I met him a few weeks ago while we were waiting for the bus. We got talking, and found out we both have a common interest in nature and trees :) Since then, he'd find me in the morning, and show me rare tree leaves and tell me stories of hiking he used to do :) He's really very sweet :)

I'm still having issues with my environmental science teacher :evil: I think her life ambition right now is to make my life miserable :evil: She's doing a great job too :evil: That class is kind of ruining my dream career, but I'm trying not to let it happen because I know she just feels threatened by me :P She doesn't have a degree to teach that class :P She's allowed to teach it because she took one class that pertained to the subject :shock: I think she's afraid I could take her job one day... The great part of that class is that I'm going to the Indiana Sand Dunes on October 21st :D I'm really excited about it :D I'll take lots of pictures to share with you guys :D

Well, this is where I shall stop for now. That's not all that happened this past month, but it's the gist of it. Really, nothing about my life has been normal lately :? In just 2 months, everything has changed......and here I thought change was gradual :roll: HAH! :lol: :roll:

One of my good friends died yesterday :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: In a way, it was sort of a relief.....:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: Cassie has been battling cancer for over 4 years now....:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: She went into a coma a few month ago, and she never woke up :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry: She will be greatly missed :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

It's like one of my friends said: if anyone deserves to be an angel, it's Cassie :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Well, before I explain, I better give some background here: so I'm in a class called environmental science. Environmental science also happens to be my intended major for college :D Anywho, I've spent 3 weeks in this class, and I realized that I have a great skill for it :D Things just seem so obvious to me, and it comes so easy :D I have one of the highest grades in the class so far, and I wirte the best lab reports.

Anywho, in this class, we do labs all the time. We fill out a worksheet while we're working on the lab, and then the next day we work on a typed lab report. The teacher is really strict, so she is a really harsh grader, and she marks us off for the stupidest things :roll: Anywho, it became common knowledge in the class that I get the highest marks on my reports :( The recognition is nice, but it's not cool when my group expects me to write the entire report :evil:

So since I'm doing well in the class, my teacher moved me to a group of two kids that are struggling. These two kids are nightmares :evil: One of them freaking hates me for reasons I don't know, and she never wants to do anything :evil: She messed up our first lab, and I had to spend over an hour trying to find her mistake and fix it :evil: And then she turned around and blamed the whole mistake on me :evil: *insert bad name her* :lol: And during the lab yesterday, she went to her best friend's group, and told them some of our answers, and refused to help us with our report :evil:

Then the other kid tries to help, but he has no idea what he's doing :roll: So when I tell him what to do and how to do it, he doesn't try, because he'd rather I do it :evil:

So back to the advice part: we had to write 2 lab reports today during class. I worked on the hardest and longest one, and I gave the other two kids the second and smallest to work on. They had no idea what to do, and they messed everything up :evil: When I told them what they did wrong and how to fix it, they rolled their eyes and told me to forget about it :shock: :evil: So I finished the first report, and turned it in, and told the teacher about how the second one wasn't done yet. She just smiled at me and told me I still had 10 mins to get it done. Well, I went back to my group, and they turned off their computers and were chatting! :evil: They refused to get the report back up for me to work on, so I went back to the teacher and told her what went on, and she told me that I had until tomorrow afternoon to get the report turned in :shock: SHE ACTUALLY TOLD ME TO WORK ON IT AT HOME!!!!!!!!!!! :evil: BY MYSELF!!!!!! :evil:

So here's what I need help with: should I even bother to write our group name on the report? Should I just write my name and turn it in that way? And then should I talk to the teacher about getting a new group? These kids are failing, and I don't want them to think that they can get their grade up by copying off of me :evil: I really can't stand them, and might hurt them if I'm forced to work with them another day :evil: But I don't want the teacher to be upset with me...:( I just don't know what to do....:cry: Help please? :(
