Nintendo Switch is the only obvious answer for me. I don't need a ps4pro to enjoy future ps4 games. I need switch for that sweet Nintendo magic

@Juub1990: funny, I always thought that sales contribute to the relevance of a franchise. Lesser sales, lesser relevance, but I get your real point now
@Juub1990: gears is declining http://m.neogaf.com/showpost.php?p=220345081
while r&c is growing
http://m.neogaf.com/showthread.php?t=1213175
how does your logic work then?
@Juub1990:
""Difference between that and R&C is that Gears will stay relevant for years. R&C is already a distant memory."
Regarding this quote from you
@Juub1990: ratchet and clank ps4 was the fastest selling in the Franchise, while gears 4 was the worst selling main entry. Gears outsold r&c in uk, but one Franchise is growing while gears is declining. Get your facts straight
@trollhunter2: I played it and it was garbage lol. You play Uncharted 4 for the SP. Nobody buys it for the MP.
congrats to yourself. Majority of others disgagreed. The SP and MP were factually good and praised by fans and critics alike, regardless of your opinion. You debate with facts, not your opinion
you wrong.
1. The lack of mp in the nathan drake collection got huge backlash, to the point that Naughty Dog had to respond and explain why it removed the MP
http://powerupgaming.co.uk/2015/09/26/naughty-dog-sheds-more-light-on-multiplayer-removal-from-uncharted-the-nathan-drake-collection/
2. Blue Point Games developed the title. Different devs entirely. ND was busy with U4 and decided to move on with implenting mp in the nathan drake collection
3. Look at the disaster with Halo MCC, I guess they wanted to avoid the same faith
4. Collecting 120 stars isn't really central to the gameplay. Once you defeat Bowser in the last stage, in the first run, the credits will roll. 120 Collecting is one of the first Major easter eggs in Gaming though:
You get congratulated by yoshi for finishing the game
5.120 collecting stars is literally the precursor of platinum trophies/archivements. You get rewarded with a text that you finished the game 100%
Disregarding all the japanese games just because they don't have replay value is ridiculous. Might as well disregard the majority of greatest games of all time. Some of the greatest games ever only last like 5 hours(snes) without any real purpose beyond campaign, tho you still reply out of fun.
Anything missing will get backlash. People got over it. Microsoft would have never gotten away by removing the MP component for Gears of War remaster. Gears not only have a very solid single player but also a terrific multiplayer that is central to the experience. Some people don't even bother with the multiplayer and the game gets played competitively on worldwide stage. Uncharted MP is a nice bonus. It's not needed and people often don't even count it when reviewing the game. It's all about the SP.
Collecting stars is central to the gameplay in the sense that by collecting them you're very much extending the core gameplay. It's like saying Skyrim is only 9hrs. Sure, the main quest can be beaten fairly quickly but then you'd miss out on hundreds of quests. You get secrets, different objectives, course alterations etc. Collecting treasures is really just that, collecting. You literally wouldn't miss a thing by not collecting them. Basically collecting 120 stars in Mario 64 extends the gameplay. Collecting treasures in Uncharted does not. That's where the difference lies and that's why the comparison isn't good.
Back then the majority of game like Super Mario Bros 3 got away with their gameplay. As I mentioned before, gameplay is timeless. Once you've seen that train blow up in Uncharted you've seen it. Cinematic experiences appeal to emotions and the present moment. That's what Uncharted banks on and unlike gameplay it wears out extremely quickly.
You still don't get it. I recommend you to actually read the article. ND was busy with developing U4, they had to help blue point games to implent U2 and U3 MP in the game. Due to being busy, they decided against it and included the U4 MP Beta instead. Don't pretend like U2 MP wasn't praised by critics and fans alike. Just don't dude. They didn't remove it because of lack of interest, in the article itself he says that U2 and U3 servers are still being played, and they would've have shut the servers down, to upgrade it to the Nathan Drake collection
@Juub1990: why are bringing up the remaster when we're talking about uncharted 4? I don't think you have valid point here to make. If you had, you would actually stay on topic instead of bringing up a game we're not even talking. No the main game of sm64 takes 9hours. Uncharted would be more than 20hours if you collect all treasures, notes in the campaign etc. You would take 10 hours more for platinum trophy, is the same logic as collecting all stars in sm64 according to your logic.
Truth is, you don't have good arguments in your favor.
The remaster is an example of how the multiplayer in Uncharted doesn't matter and is an afterthought. It's just there as a check mark. Just like in Spec Ops: The Line. If it was a central and important component ND would have brought it back. In terms of MP Uncharted 4 doesn't come close to legitimate multiplayer games like Gears or Halo. These games' MP is arguably more important than their SP.
120 stars collection is central to the gameplay of Mario 64. It's not the same as collecting treasures in Uncharted at all. You need 50 stars or so to access the last level but you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not collecting all the stars. You'd miss on a lot of elements. Some levels like Snowman's Land are completely optional. Collecting treasures adds absolutely nothing to Uncharted and you wouldn't be missing out on a thing by not collecting them. I beat Uncharted 2 and I had collected exactly 5 treasures. I beat the remaster and collected all the treasures and found nothing new.
I barely collected anything and beat Uncharted 4. Doing a rerun to collect the treasures would add nothing.
If you had played both games(which I suspect you did not) you would know the difference is obvious and wouldn't even make that argument. Collecting all the stars in Mario 64 is akin to finishing all the quests in TW3 or TES. Collecting all the treasures in Uncharted is akin to collecting all the dog tags in GOW. Worthless. Just collectibles.
you wrong.

@Juub1990: so games only count as games when they have replay value(funny that mlb, u4 have plenty replay value due to mp)?
Your argument is not really convincing here. Games are games, even if they don't have multiplayer. Super Mario 64 is one of the greatest games of all time, yet it takes 9-10 hours to beat
