@Imperiacommando I used to think like this as well.. but really, now that every decent video card for PC has an HDMI port (or at least a mini display port that you can convert to HDMI), and pretty much every game is controller-compatible, and you have achievements on steam, these issues aren't factors anymore.

The only reasons I will still buy a few games for console over PC are:

1) multiplayer games have a way bigger player base on console (easier to find friends and lower latency matches)

2) if the PC version is a poorly made console port.

Since this is single-player and the devs seem determined to make a solid PC version, I think PC is the way to go.

wow.. that's an average of $56.00/person.. how the heck can you justify dropping that kind of cash on something that's just a concept?.. no wonder so much of our generation is in debt..

@handofkain @tushwacker I said 'in-game cash'.. meaning during each match, you gain in-game currency.. I was certainly not saying that they should add micro-transactions for mid-match bonuses.. that would be terrible.. What I was saying is that in LOL and all of the spin-offs of that game, the money/gold you gain from killing creeps is only used to buy equipment for yourself. In Demigod, you have the choice to spend that money/gold either on your own gear, or on upgrading your towers/base defences, or on upgrading your creeps. These options really allowed for a mix of strategies, and it also gave you a chance to make a comeback if you started to get out-leveled by the opposing players.

@charlesdao @olegavi323 @erMonezza @sirscarecrow um... creativity is ALWAYS held back by 4 things: 1) money 2) man-power 3) time 4) technology..

anybody on this forum could tell you about how awesome it would be to have a game where you could use virtual reality goggles, gloves and omnidirectional treadmill in order to play it.. A game with amazing environments like Fallout 3/Skyrim, outstanding looting and upgrading like Borderlands, monstrous worlds like most MMOs, top-notch AI and combat mechanics like most high-end FPS games, etc.. We all know that a game like this would be awesome, so why doesn't it exist? Because no current system can run it, it would be too expensive to make, and you would never have enough people to throw at the project in order to get it done in a decent time frame..

These same problems apply to Destiny, and I think elegavi323 is correct. You simply cannot have both massive AND gorgeous environments on current consoles.

This sounds like a retarded idea for Microsoft.. So retarded, in fact, that I wonder if this 'source' knows what they're talking about.. I'll wait for an official press release by Microsoft themselves before I make up my mind on whether or not I'll want the console.

Pros: Great combat mechanics, good graphics, 4 player coop, fairly detailed leveling/upgrade system, tolerable AI

Cons: very few environments that get recycled like crazy, over half of the weapons/gear can only be accessed with real money, the cost of items is ridiculously high (it will cost you over $100.00 if you want to unlock everything, and things as minor as adding colors to your suit are as pricey as $5.00-$10.00).

Conclusion: If they add a lot more environments, add more blueprints (items that you can earn with in-game currency), and decrease the cost of their pay-only items, it could be a very good co-op game.

this game isn't just an ordinary train-wreck.. it's like the train-wreck off of Super 8.. just when you think it's finally done, it somehow manages to get worse..

@GhostOfSparta4 @Sstrawberryjam I agree; not to mention taking on 220lb trained dudes in hand-to-hand combat.. but I've almost given up on trying to argue stuff like this because game devs are too busy getting kudos from the media for being 'progressive' to care about how lame lots of these action sequences look - and all you'll get is labelled as a chauvinist pig even though you're just pointing out factual problems..

Give it good co-op and it might be interesting.. The best MOBA ever made for playing with friends is also one of the least known ones: Demigod.. Better arenas, better in-game leveling system and far better balancing of characters than the more popular MOBAs. Also, the choice to upgrade either your minions, towers, or yourself with in-game cash really gave strategic options that LOL and all of its clones fail to recreate.

@Wango_Tango depends on the type of game.. for Ninja Gaiden? I totally agree with you.. for Fallout? Not so much.
