Oh and you seem to be under some strange belief that social life is that important. Many of the successful people in all sorts of activities/subject forgo social life, because they spend most of that time honing and perfecting their skills/ability. I smell jelly here.
@xUnrationalistx That's your opinion. And thankfully, your opinion doesn't mean squat. SE owns the IP and can do whatever it wants to do with it, even if it means doing nothing with it. Whatever reason behind it, is not important. Get it in your skull, SE own the IP and can do whatever it wants with it.
@Taegre Sure I'd rather have a bunch of fanbois destroy the IP whilst pocketing some money from backers of a Kickstarter project that uses another company's IP.
@pcps4dude Lol? Did you perhaps pause for a moment and think that maybe, just maybe, Square wants to make sure they have full control of their own IPs? And not with some random fanbois who most likely will cause damages to the IP?
I'm not surprised. The moment I saw the kickstarter project weeks ago, I knew it was just a dumb thing to do, didn't even consider backing the project, despite being a huge ff7 fan. Why do you need to use an existing IP for a project? A freaking huge IP for that matter. I know the team are huge fans of the game, but seriously, that was just stupid. Just make your own original, inspired by ff7.
Definitely going to be diablo related. Especially with a statement like this:
"We're making a special announcement that's sure to capture the attention of the Heavens, Burning Hells, and all the shadowed places that lie between.""
@EL_Bomberdor Nobody cares if a company is a saint or a demon, or perhaps even run by monkeys. The fact is products go through a free market, where both parties are ultimately responsible for prices. Steam is still around. Do you know why? If you don't I suggest you go study the very basics of microeconomics.
