Yerli said. "That's because there's a certain fatigue level with the old generation currently"

Or it could be maybe, that no one was asking for a new Crysis game, (or really even cared it was coming out for that matter) ever think of that Cevat ;-)

First,"$299 is magic price point for PS4"...

This is not going to happen, at all, if Nintendo can't release an underpowered piece of hardware last year for barely that price, how do they think that a true next gen system that out performs it by miles can afford to cost even less than that. I'd realistically say if Sony can do under $400 to make it possible, anymore and they'd be pushing it.

Second, Pidgeon said. "I think this current generation took way too long to get there"

Is bull$#%!. I say this everytime some industry person says this, the current systems haven't been maxed out yet, and why is everyone so quick to want to spend upwards of $400-500 every 5 years, if you need new bleedin' edge tech that bad, buy a damn PC!

And I agree new gfx and more ram are nice, but we do need to rethink how we play, since that is what is turning people off the lack of new exp, not the fact that current systems aren't powerful enough (except to those gfx whores out there) when in fact they are still plenty good.

Maybe Sony overshot their plan of 10 years for PS3, I still believe it can work, unfortunately, most people are too impatient to wait that long, I don't expect or want to see the next-next gen until 2020 at the soonest.

@96augment @CHROMEFLAMIN (sees games listed) Hey where have I seen that list before, oh yeah the same franchises over and over and over its what Nintendo does, rehash the same thing again and again. And honestly other than Pikmin you think any of those are going to launch sooner than summer 2014 at the soonest, keep dreamin'....

The real Zelda game (not WW HD) got delayed, Kirby in Wii just came out last year so don't expect that anytime soon. Metroid, who's working on this? After Other M bombed unless Retro is doing it in secret, Metroid is dead to Nintendo. DK, again the Wii version came out a few years ago, no new game in sight. SSB, good luck playing anything before 2014 either.

Only Mario, Mario Kart and Zelda have been confirmed and will be shown in some form at E3, but don't pretend you'll be playing them sooner than a summer a year from now, cause it ain't going to be happening, unless Nintendo gets that new development studio in Kobe fully staffed and up and running before the end of spring. And considering the construction just completed recently that's unlikely as well.

The new Yoshi game is coming, but that is a rehash of Kirby's Epic Yarn, heck, what do they have that is new and innovative where is the Nintendo that used to lead, innovate and create fresh experiences, do they even exist anymore? Woe to them when Miyamoto retires, is all I have to say.

I seriously can't believe people are on this whining streak about "this generation being too long". Seriously, you got money tree in the back yard, do you honestly think we'd be getting games that looked like Halo 4 MGS: Ground Zeroes and Bioshock Infinite had they kept a 5 year life span? The devs are finally mastering the tech 6-7 years in, just cause you have the power (in technology) doesn't mean you can exploit it properly.

If you want high end bleedin' edge gfx and tech then get a f'kn high end PC, every year for $500-1000 and quit complaining....'nuff said.

@Dazza102 @DrRockso87 Thing is you two complain about Warren working on those games, but the thing is, he WANTED to, thing is he LOVES Disney and especially Mickey. Only thing he forgot was, no one else loves Mickey anymore. I'd love to see him go back to his producer roles from the 90's when he was making awesome games like Ultima Underworld, Crusader, System Shock and Deus Ex.

Then what's stopping him.(been saying he needs to get away from Metal Gear for years now, especially after MGS 4 was done)

He created Snatcher, Policenauts and Boktai after or while working on Metal Gear during his career. He let fans and Konami execs make his creative decisions. I'd hope after Ground Zeroes we get a new Kojima game.

System Shock 2 didn't need it, Deus Ex didn't need it, and Bioshock didn't need it either and all are classic games. If Infinite plays anything like the videos show it won't lose anything by not having multiplayer in it either.

I'm glad Moris believes this, and he's right more people = more profit. Frank Gibeau (EA), Mike Capps (Epic), and Yves Guillemot (Ubisoft) gave been championing next gen, even though Ubisoft is launching a new IP next year on current cycles so he comes off sounding like a hypocrite. But each one of them has their own agenda to fulfill with a new console Capps wants to sell the new Unreal Engine, and the other two of course want to start exploring the next gen and grow current and new IP, but their comments as of late have been lazy and uncalled for.

Some people might have this so-called "console fatigue", but I think that's more of games being to sam-ey with no new innovation or they get off on cutting edge gfx, (which don't equate to new experiences and fun game). They're are still many new IP's coming out this gen I'm excited for and am in no rush for next gen, as there is still a lot to play and enjoy. So kudos to Jean-Maxime Moris and others like him (Hideo Kojima) that still believe that current systems have a lot of life left in them and can continue to be strong and have at least a few more good years left in them.

@Meta-Gnostic @ZOD777

Last thing I'm going to say on this subject...

http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2011/08/spoilers-dont-spoil-anything/

And the experience is what should matter, not the bloody ending, if you watch a movie, read a book or play a game just to get to the end, then frankly, you are doing it all wrong.

The end.
