Reading about it and experiencing it for yourself are two different things. Best advice get a life and don't take things to seriously, or better yet instead of complaining about getting story points spoiled by us mentioning these very old games, how about going and you know, playing them, and your excuse that its too hard to do, bollocks, it is easier than ever to find a version of that game (or any of them mentioned) and play it through conventional or alternate means, your reasoning is just that a lame excuse to complain and make much ado about nothing.
About as bad as someone having a fit when I was discussing Resident Evil 2 back in 2010 and spaz-ing out and yelling about spoilers all over the place, it came out in 1998, if you can't play it in 14 years, I don't know what to tell you. As I said, I'll be polite and be as spoiler free as possible with games 5 years or less, but any older than that and I don't see any harm in discussing it, if you do you're either too young to have played it in any original release (which is more than likely in this case) or too lazy to play the classics and enjoy them for yourself. (which also seems to be the case)
I was pointing out the hypocrisy in that original post and why I seem to keep running into inexperienced people like you saying futile things like that, as someone mentioned, do we know that is the ending of the remake, no, but if you're going to expose yourself to people discussing a remake of a 30 year old title then you either quit reading knowing that something will be mentioned spoiling it for you, or you deal with it and keep reading, as seeing as how you did and continued to comment on it, I feel even less sympathy for your plight because of your attitude dealing with the situation...
@ZOD777 @Cowboy-Bebop Seriously, I read people complaining all the time, "well you spoiled it for me", and my response is "huh, seriously?!?" You've had 30 years to play it, FFS, if the imaginary statue of limitations about when you can talk about a game and be spoiled by talking it about it has to be over at some point (I'd say realistically 10 years) if not, then I don't even know what to say, other than you should have expected it, especially after all of these years.
Makes note that I shouldn't mention that you defeat Dr. Wily in every Megaman game ever and save the world so as to not spoil it for someone who's never played it before....or that Mario rescues the princess at the end of SMB1...whoops.
Just out of curiosity, everytime I read comments about Nintendo you're on here as official president of the Nintendo apology force coming up with the same old argument over and over.
So my question is this? Do you practice all of these apologistic Nintendo defenses in the mirror before you come on here?
People have every right to be critical of Nintendo and should be because of that very past history and exp. that you bring up, are they the Nintendo of the late 80's and 90's no they are not, that's one thing you and the Nintendo Defense Force need to wake up too.
I've supported them since 1989, but not blindly so and not without questioning what they are doing it, and especially not being critical of what I believe are their missteps along the way and letting them have carte blanche when it comes to putting their money where their mouths are, and neither should you but until you realize that I will unfortunately have to continually read the same thing from you over and over...(maybe I just need to skip on by when I see that Kirby avatar on my screen) ;-)
@Hellhound30x Out of curiosity, how is a new system going to solve the problem of new games for you to play?
Are the game companies magically going to create new content and IP's that dazzle you so much that spending $300-500 on a new system made it all worthwhile?
You might see a few new IP, but get serious, I don't see the gameplay experience you're getting now changing that much with a new system.
Also none of these interest you?
Dishonored, Bioshock Infinite, God of War Ascension, Gears of War Judgement, The Last of Us, Two Souls, Remember Me, Aliens Colonial Marines, Injustice Gods Among Us, Crysis 3, Metro: Last Light, Grand Theft Auto 5, Dead Space 3, Deadpool, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch, Destiny
And that's not even a complete list, just some of the bigger titles I could think of and find that are coming out, if you can't find anything there to keep you occupied for a good while you're either not trying hard enough or are too picky.
I'm not in any rush for next gen, I still have way too many games to play from this gen to finish up....

Ever heard of anything called "attach rate" which means how many games a user buys for the system and in this case the Wii has the worst attach rate of any system out there since it is filled with casuals and families who don't buy many games for it.
Unlike the other systems that you know have those hardcore gamers who you don't think matter who imagine that actually BUY games....:rolls eyes:

Exactly, right now they are a 3-horse company Mario, Zelda, Pokemon. And when they do let out classic characters in their own games they're on gimped platforms or not given the same treatment as those other 3 titles.
Come on Nintendo have some respect for some of your other creations that people would like to play too. I was 10 when Kid Icarus came out, 35 when Uprising was released and will be 60(!) when a sequel comes out.....
