@blueinheaven: You do realise they still make money from the games? I mean losing hardware sales is bad sure, but selling more software on the biggest platform, PC, it will make up some of the loss And Play Anywhere means in the future if you switch to PC or reverse (say you get an Xbox for the TV), you can still play that game without buying it again.
And yeah, Pedro is correct. Console gamers have always been playing on consoles, so they would get the One or Scorpio, while PC gamers stick with their PCs and enjoy new games. Not alot of loss for us consumers, yet you people manage to whine about it anyway.
@simplytheebest: Lol yeah look at the sales. Does it not go through your thick head why people chose the PS4 and PS4 leads in sales for almost every month, and why the Kinect port is gone on the One S? Also Vive needs 4 lighthouses not one shitty Kinect. And in less developed countries where they don't have Internet all the time unlike your rich ass, PS4 is a better option because at launch it actually worked offline. I don't expect you to understand anyway.
@pongley: It's not that we 'need' 6+ cores for stuff like gaming, but like ECH71 said, you would think it should be a standard by now, even phones have quad cores now.
We just need AMD to finally come back into the CPU market, with no outdated features and the feeling that it is for budget builds. Seriously normally at this rate 6 cores should already be mainstream, but noo intel still sticking with quad.
Devs need to get a decent resolution (above 792p) and get a stable 60fps. Forza is an example of stable framerates. It's very consistent in my experience.
@sladakrobot: Xbox runs well when it's head is also a gamer, like Phil and Peter. Don failed to see the console for gaming and i hope we never see him again in any gaming company.
