I'm actually really shocked to hear anyone boasting about the quality of a 3rd-party N64 controller. I bought one long long ago, and I swear that the analog crapped out on me within a week, far worse than the Nintendo brands did. I swore I would never buy another one.

There are the new "Retro" brand ones, and I have yet to try those, but I'm tempted, as finding a good quality Nintendo brand is tough nowadays. Anyone know which ones I'm talking about, and have any idea of the quality? I think they're made by the same overseas company that produces one of those multiplatform consoles.

I live one block away from a Play N Trade.. and its actually owned by one of the original founders of the franchise. I go in at least once or twice a week just to chew the fat with the owners and hang out for an hour or so. It's nice, because they've actually become friends of the family, and I can go in there and get stupid-good discounts on games that are kind of expensive, because they know I bring in business. They sold me a copy of EarthBound for $35, knowing full well its value. The concept is really great, but like Gamestop or any other gaming store, they end up taking in more horrific trades than they do selling new games. Much of the time, you see the same unwanted garbage games collecting dust, while anything of value is snatched up within a day or two.

The idea behind having a store that promotes legacy platforms is awesome, but there isn't enough of a demand in my area to keep the selection of vintage fresh. They are actually about to open another franchise called "Gamers," and in fact, the store here is already going through a transformation as we speak. So I wouldn't be surprised if you start seeing those pop up all over as well. Keep an eye out.

Many of the oldschool RPGs were like that. Ever play Dragon Warrior? Exactly the same idea. You grind-grind-grind until youre strong enough to make it just a little ways on the map, save, and then grind-grind-grind again until you get to the next town. Same idea.

To be honest, I like it. It keeps me from burning myself out all at once.

Okay, I haven't picked up Super Mario 64 in years, and as much as I can remember, I never went all out crazy and tried to get every star, but rather just took steps to get enough to fight Bowser and beat the game. I started it again yesterday and set out to get as many as I could remember, while keeping a lookout for those I didn't.

With that being said, I found an area that I had never noticed before, and I'm wondering if I'm killing myself while trying to get to a spot that contains NOTHING. Here it is...

In the ghost courtyard, if you take an immediate right from the entrance, you will come up to a corner with a signpost that has a description on both the High Jump and Wall Kick. I looked up, and directly above is a ledge. It looks as though with the right angle, you can use those two methods to get up there somehow. Looks like there might be a tree up there, and who knows what else. I've been trying to make it up there for about 15 minutes straight, to no avail. Is there a way to do this? Is there even anything up there?

Thanks.

I've looked at the stores, and I've seen dozens of different Pokemon stretching from original Game Boy all the way through DS. I have no desire to buy 2 or 3 different versions to collect as many as I can.

The question I have is, which Pokemon game has the highest count of catchable Pokemon, WITHOUT having to use another game to "catch 'em all?" Is there a game out that actually incorporates all of them into one game yet?

Thanks.

sad news, SOMETHING will die in a few weeks, after a certain game gets released, maybe not die instantly, but will do it slowly...

its something that most of the PS3 owners enjoyed a lot...

yes, im talking about MW multiplayer! COD MW2 will be out in about 2 weeks, when its out, the MW1 MP will have its days counted QQ

RIP MW multiplayer

lightleggy
Mmmmmmaybe.. You have to remember that not everyone is going to run out and buy this game immediately. Over time, it's true that the MW crowd will slowly trickle towards MW2, but it will hardly be an immediate transition.

I was just looking up comparisons of the new upcoming 250GB PS3 to the other available models, and I saw that both the upcoming 250GB and the current 120GB have what they refer to as "HDMI + Bravia Sync."

I was just wondering if someone could explain what this is exactly? I have a Sony Bravia TV myself, so if that's what it refers to, what's it do?

You stole my words exactly. GTA is just that.. a satire. It's not anti-anything. The developers wouldn't go out of their way to ostrasize anyone. That would be foolish and would make them less money.
