Developers think they can forego a good single-player campaign for multiplayer (see CoD4).

That's actually a huge selling point for me, but it's got to be a decent balance of both. In essence, I can't tell you how many countless hours I've played CoD4, or Socom1, or Diablo 2.. I'll agree that games seem to be getting shorter, but as long as they continue to entertain me after the solo campaign, then I'm fine with that. PS- For those who care, this is my 1000th post. Yay.

The least they could do is label it as a spoiler and have those that wish to know what said spoiler is follow a link. muthsera666

I agree totally. I've come across a lot of these. Especially those regarding actual gameplay of MW2.

Remember when you were little and you found hidden Christmas presents? In my case, part of me was excited to find them, but another part of me was upset, because the surprise was over and I knew what was coming. After a couple of times, I just stopped looking for Christmas presents. See my point?

Um.. I think you might be a little lost. That question might be better suited here.

What disturbs me is that it would be required. That just seems a bit... drastic? not sure the right word

Well, these games are known for immersing the player in the action. Remember the assassination scene from CoD4? Kind of the same line.

SNES for sure. The good titles are endless, and it had the best controller ever.. the controller by which all others are based today.

EDIT: I would have liked to choose PS2, but the SNES was my first. You always remember your first.

Hmm.. In my opinion, no. Here's why..

We've been seeing films for years depicting these kinds of content. The line between video games, movies and real life is becoming such a blurry horizon that it was only a matter of time before things started to get a little racy. The game is rated M for a very VERY specific reason. Anyone over the age required to play this game should know the difference between the game and reality.

EDIT: It does, however, make me seriously consider picking up this game at launch, before it (potentially) gets pulled from the shelves. Slim chance, sure.. but...you never know. Hot Coffee, anyone?

Resident Evil 5 is terrible in just about every way, and provides absolutely 0 scares, or even chills. It's got nothing.raven_squad
..and I would have to second that notion.

Saw is a decent game. I know it has been getting average reviews but I am enjoying it. Combat is weak thats all. Has a really good atmosphere though.

FullMetal22
I am actually quite interested in that one, despite the reviews. Ambiance is key in a game like that, and from the videos I have seen, that game seems to ooze the Saw atmosphere from the seams.

I made a commitment purchase of Uncharted Drakes Fortune and cod4 a month prior to my ps3 purchase :)

GreyFoXX4

See, that's exactly what I'm doing...!

I think I'm going to pre-order MW2 and go ahead and buy a second controller so I'm locked in. :) HDMI doesn't make much of a difference on my TV, as I only have 720p..the difference of HDMI vs. Component is negligable in my case, so an HDMI cable (if I choose to get one) will be much farther down the road.

Again, it's a nice thought and all, but we're talking about a console that's over 10 years old. People and times have moved on. That's just technology. I can see why you miss the era.. I miss the SNES era myself, but letting it go just makes room for bigger and better.
