Keep your area clean and dust free, your box well ventilated, don't play for hours on end without cooldown periods, yadda yadda. But honestly, the only way to avoid it in the long term is to just never turn your console on. It's a design flaw that will eventually catch up to every 360.

Looks sorta... Loki May Cry/Hellgate: Asgard. Might not end up being a worldbeater, but I'm pretty intrigued.

Just think of it this way: it started its development life on the PSX, and well, it looks pretty amazing for a PSX game! ;)

I don't understand the concept of "supporting Microsoft." Many of their decisions have been nothing short of baffling. Their hardware reliability is a joke, and though I haven't had to use them yet, the thought of dealing with their customer service fills me with a cold dread. Basically, they need to get their act together and fast. Most of the best games are multiplatform deals anymore, and if it weren't for the fact that I don't see a single appealing PS3 exclusive (this is the sole area where MS wins hands down), then I'd jump ship in a heartbeat. Why have loyalty to a company that has absolutely none to you? It makes you sound like a schmuck.

As much as an amusement park would fit in with the goofy, over the top tone of Dead Rising, I don't see it being very good story wise because, basically, Frank (or whoever) could climb the fence and be out. Same for the seaside resort scenario- hop on one of those yachts and sail away.

However, the cruise liner idea is pretty damn sweet! Can't get much more enclosed (and yet still sandboxy) than a big ol' ship.

Honestly, I think a big part of the appeal was the music. Or, rather, the muzak. It contrasted nicely with all the ridiculous violence. Not sure what other setting could have that; maybe Dead Rising II should take place in an elevator? :D

One thing is certain: they simply must retain the shower head kill. I still LOL every time.

Fracture and Borderlands both look like they have the potential to be amazing.

I've never really cared for the Halo series, but Ensemble being a pretty kickass studio and all, I'm pretty intrigued. Probably also helps that I vastly prefer RTS to FPS.

2010 would work for me, but anything less would somewhat piss me off. When the 360 came out, almost all production/support/developments for the original Xbox just halted, never to return.

I agree. I think MS would help their image a lot if they continued to support and release games for the 360 in the next generation much like Sony has for the PS2 in this gen. Or at least have much improved backwards compatibility. Or both!
