No.  It's a ridiculous dream of console manufacturers to sell you an all-in-one entertainment center.  The idea has never really floated very well.  People want game systems to play games, (HD)DVD/Blu-ray/whatever players to play movies, actual stereo systems to play music, PCs to perform PC functions, etc.  When you try to jam them all into one console, you lose funtionality.  When a piece of electronic equipment focuses on one job, it usually performs it better than one pieced together in Dr. Frankenstein's laboratory.  Also, if you're doing one thing (like, say, playing a game) on your "multimedia center" you lose the ability to use it's other functions at the same time.  If you have a family, one "multimedia center" just doesn't work.  No one in their right mind will buy four, or more, "multimedia centers" either (unless, they're filthy rich).  Average families will usually buy one or two game systems, a PC or two, a few movie players and one really good stereo.  That is, if the family is lucky enough to have to the money to buy all that.  If money is no object, they'll most certainly buy specialized equipment.  Poor families can forget about a $400+ game system...errr, sorry..."multimedia center".  Besides, PCs perform all functions better than consoles - with the exception of playing Blu-ray.  If Blu-ray does become the next standard format, replacing DVDs, I'm sure PCs will be able to play them in the future as well.

The ultimate in cool is to do your own thing and not give a rat's ass about what other people think about it.

No comparison needed.  Half-Life 2 is clearly superior on all levels.  I didn't even finish either Halo (got bored).  HL2 is one of the few games that I bothered playing after beating it.

Yeah.  You're right.  It's just not right to compare the Wii to the PS3 and Xbox 360.  The Wii is the only one that can't meet demand.  It's selling faster than Nintendo's best efforts to produce them.  Nintendo sure did drop the ball this gen.  You couldn't be more right Mr. TC.

PS4 will probably be $1000 and not even be fully backwards capable to the PS3.  By then, Blu-ray may have lost the media battle with HD-DVD and Sony will have switched to yet another unproven format to use with it's newest hyper-expensive, quick to die off, machine.  Oh yeah, they'll also hype it as the second coming of Christ himself.

what developers have said they haven't tried unlocking the wii's graphical capabilities? and common sense says they would have at least tried unless. dare I say it, IT DOESNT HAVE ANY!!!111!!!!!!

You're right.  The Wii has absolutely no graphic capabilities whatsoever.  It's just a paperweight.  Oh, the millions of fools that bought one!

Also, it depends on what Ubi studio worked on the game.  The Ubi team that worked on Rayman Raving Rabbids for the Wii made a good game.  The one that worked on Rayman Raving Rabbids for the DS made a meh game.

I thought it was established A LONG time ago that EA was...DarthMar

EA is not the worst, either.  They created Madden football.  The worst is some developer none of us has ever heard of.  If a developer has sold a game, they aren't the worst.  If a developer has sold millions of games, they certainly aren't the worst.  This is a lot like making fun of one hit wonder bands.  They've still made one more hit than any of us ever will.  They also cashed in on it, if they were lucky enough not to get screwed by bad management.

PS3 will be around for the next 10 years, get used to it.  360 on the other hand, maybe 3 more years.  Wii even less than that,ironwarrior2

You're right.  I recently bought another high-priced video game system on eBay for about $60.  It's a 3DO.  It collected dust on retail shelves over 10 years ago and it's still around - on eBay.  I think they wanted around $900 for one when it came out.  It was supposed to be an all-in-one entertainment center for the home.  It failed because of price (and crappy games).  Sony should've taken notes.  Ridiculously expensive systems fail.  The only difference between the 3DO and the PS3, for me, is I actually wanted a 3DO when they came out.  I just couldn't afford it.  Now I can buy a PS3, if I wanted one.  I don't even want one, though.  See you in about 10 on eBay, PS3!
