[QUOTE="wildcat2000"]What a great win for the Heat. Jagged3dge
I went crazy when Bosh drained that three.

Ya. Im glad he got the game winner. I hate when people say hes not one of their stars. I never paid much attention when he was on the Raptors but hes alot better than I thought.

Thats what SHOULD happen too...your best players or in todays situation, the best player on the court should be the only ones taking game winners. Its a no brainer.

I hate when I see them use Mario or anyone else for the win.

What a great win for the Heat. I applaud them 100% for sitting out Wade and Lebron. It was obviously because of what Coach Pop did last time. Im sure they would have played if the streak was still on though.

I don't hate the Spurs or their coach but resting Tim and company back in November was so ******* stupid. They had just come off playing the Wizards. When I saw the news today, for a second I was like, their hurt?! then I said oooh I see what you did there, lol.

Was it childish to do the same? Perhaps but the Spurs started the whole ridiculous thing. They deserved to lose both games.

My feeling on shooters are they're really unfair. Any one hit kill game is unfair but it especially does not make sense in shooters. You're in a fighter jet/space ship of some kind, how can you not take even the slightest hit? What about in futuristic shooters, which are most, you don't get a shield or anything. I dont mean power ups. You should get a standard health bar.

However I do have 2. Einhander for PS. I loved the mechs, weapons and music so much I had to get it. Pretty rare game. The other is a "3D" one for Genesis, Burning Force. That actually gives you a health bar of 3 hits. Kinda hard to find too.

Didnt read the whole thread just page 1. Nostalgia is a part of it. Kids today might think todays games are better than what we get 20 years from now.

However I think the bigger this is...If one really does feel older games are better its probably because the Atari/NES/Genesis/SNES era was so fresh and new. Its what paved the way. Which is unfair to hold against todays games. Anything constantly running for more than 30 years is gonna lose its "aww" factor. Does not mean todays games are worse just that its basically impossible to remain "so amazing", because its simply not anymore.

This goes for every single genre. Just think of it. Mario, Sonic and every major franchise wil go on literally forever. Its going to feel repetitive or old. Even now. Thats why controls are being updated...because the games themselves have kinda reached their limit. Before the next big step was 3D. Now it has to be HOW we play. The final straw would be full on Virtual Reality. Like we see in movies.

If you ever get a 3DS make sure to play Super Mario 3D Land, that's exactly what you're looking for. It's like Mario mixed with Crash.Eikichi-Onizuka
I dont have a 3DS yet and that game looks great, just like something Id play but its more 2D gameplay with 3D visuals. Like the Klonoa games (which I really enjoyed).

What meant and what I want is a 3D Mario game thats something like the old Spyros. Big wide open levels where you make your way to the end, obviously collecting or activating stuff along the way, where you only have to replay levels because something unlocked that was previously unavailable or you missed something. It still keeps the linearity of classic Mario but in actual 3D worlds.

SM64/Sunshine were just levels built out of objectives...and that was pretty much it. They existed only to hold each task together. Like one big playing field with everything crammed into it. They weren't traditional levels. Hope that makes sense.

Super Mario Bros 3 is the best game Iv ever played but Ive never liked 3D Marios. I agree with that guy saying SM64 is a chore. Not because of technology at the time or scores but the gameplay is just annoying. To replay each stage with a different task is boring imo. I reviewed it in detail if anyone wants to read it. Sunshine the same. Galaxy was better. What I played of it.

Not gonna hide I absolutely love Sonic but I really do think his 3D games are better. They at least stay true to the basic formula (Sonic levels anyway). Have never had camera issues. Worst...Black Knight and Heroes. '06 was meh. I did not have all those problems people say. I beat it.

I was kinda disappointed with Generations. Could have done so much more with the anniversary. Alone it was good and the Time concept was nice but it was too little based on 20+ years of material.

I just wish 3D Mario was more like 2D...but in 3D. Exploring a big mushroom kingdom working our way to the end of levels. Not objectives.

Well I knew the Heat couldn't beat the 33 streak. Honestly I think its kinda good. It would have made it harder to repeat titles and you don't wanna peak your best basketball before the playoffs.

Im just glad it wasn't to the Celtics and at least it was to a worthy opponent and not a crap team.

Although the Bulls got some questionable calls in their favor. Lebron lost his cool but that was not a flagrant. Probably a technical.

[QUOTE="wildcat2000"]And no I don't like 5 teams. I like 3. LA, Heat and Bulls. Again No, not because theyre good...I liked Wade way before Lebron even got there and Ive been following the Bulls since Roses rookie season...and obviously I used to watch MJ in the 90s.Jagged3dge
So you're a fan of players rather than teams.

Yes. I see nothing wrong with that. Like Ive said before...I root for my favorite players not logos. I hate how alot of big sports fans are all...oh youre not a fan if you don't root for a team even when theyre not that good.

So everyone in Chicago was obligated to root for the Bulls even after MJ and Co. left? Its not being a frontrunner or bandwagoner...even if said team continued to be really good, why must you root for someone you aren't particularly fond of or have any investment in?

Makes no sense. What am I suppose to be a fan of then, a business organization?

I don't blame anyone for not staying a fan when their team is totally different than what they knew.

@ Halftime, what I mean about over magnified is whenever they lose its taken so badly but the Lakers have been playing much better. They weren't gonna win every single game from now on. Having a tough, stupid or silly loss happens to everyone. It looks so bad because theyre try to keep a playoff spot.

Losing an 18 point lead to a team with 6 road wins all year is terrible. I don't overreact. I've forgot more Lakers basketball then you've seen.-Halftime-
Ya like I said there is no excuse for them to have lost but come on, would you or anyone else be making such a big deal they lost to the Wizards if they were a 1 or 2 seed...or if it was 2008 '09, '10? People would just brush it off as a tough loss.

You can't deny their losses are magnifed because of everything thats happened.

What do you mean youve forgotten more laker games that Ive seen? Is that supposed to mean Im not really a fan or something?
