i just bought an xfx 680i, its been around a while and ive heard a lot of good stuff about it, especially for overclockers and sli and stuff, its a really flexible board (not literally) even supports the new wolfdale 45nm processor, only 150 on tigerdirect, and the evga version is 160 on newegg

obviously for a laptop that is a very good setup, as far as a good deal though.. not sure, i would probably go with alienware here, at least for bragging rights, if your going to spend that much on it anyway

more like scrap metal overhall :)

i just found this old pc from like '97, and it has a pentium III processor but i have no idea how to remove it, its the most bizarre thing, so i decided to overclock it to whatever is possible to reach before the whole thing explodes :D

its only a 500mhz processor but i figure i could get it to something lke 1.4ghz before it bursts into flame, i heard someone else did it not to long ago, ill probably put a vid on youtube if it does blow,

any ideas on how to overclock a del dimension xps t500 PIII?

personaly i wouldnt use ncix, go with newegg much better prices, and if your thinking about the speed benefits with the akimbo, look into the new gts 512mb from evga, and the gt series only has 112 stream processes and the gts has the full 128 stream processes, so no matter how much overclocked it, the 112 stream processes are going to hold it back more than the gts, and the gts has been safely overclocked to 810 mhz core clock so it gets pretty fast

i just built almost the exact same system but with a GTS and a 600w psu, for $1100 and you could buy the parts yourself and take it to a local pc place and them put it together and still save, and about the dual core, most games support the single cores still like even crysis calls for a 3.2 gig single or a 2.2 dual, so most likely games will go to dual then quad and even then dual cores will be very competitive, especially the e8400, that help?

yes hdmi is USUALLY sound and video, as far as i know it is always both except on the xbox 360, so there is an adapter that plugs into the normal audio video port, it has the red and white and an optical audio connections, so there is nothing wrong with your speakers but u do need to get a red and white audio cable to connect your speakers
