This whole situation, it's like a boyfriend (M$) being totally unreasonable to his girlfriend (gamers) who then leaves him for the charismatic and caring friend (sony) who helped her get through the abuse. BUT the old boyfriend decides he will have a drop of a hat change to try and get the girl back.....but she knows that he can't change his ways so quickly. It's ingrained in his nature.

@snaketus it's to minimise piracy, I think. It may help a bit but on the other hand it may decrease the number of people that would buy the game fresh from release on PC.
