[QUOTE="xAGx"]..., it just seemed like I was running aimlessly from place to place,... Fantasy_Gamer

LOL So, true. The kind you regularly see in Western-developed RPGs. It is sidequest-driven as against being story-driven.

Yeah thats a good way of putting it. And I suppose many people like games where there is so much freedom and no set structure, but I feel like its the FF tradition to have a fairly linear storyline.  Some people may disagree but I liked the simplicity of playing through a story, and also enjoyed the occasional sidequest here and there, and thats why its called a SIDEquest: because its extra/not a normal quest.

it didn't really have that great of an ending in my opinion, it was very predictable and generic. Dont get me wrong it was a fun game to play, but the story wasnt nearly as engaging as in the other games. I figured the game's story would eventually grow on me, but right up through the end i felt like the story was kind of distant. The characters were never really given enough time to develop. I know how people argue about how some FF's have too much dialogue, but thats kind of what gives the characters personality. In this game I felt like there was no dialogue/cutscenes where the characters personalities could come through, it just seemed like I was running aimlessly from place to place, beating bosses that didnt seem to have anything to do with the plot. I dont know, it just seems that normally when I beat a FF, I feel very accomplished and satisfied, because of how long and rich the story was. But in this one it feels like I could describe the plot in 3-4 sentences, and when it was finished I felt indifferent. Im sure this has been discussed before but I just figured I'd share. Thoughts?

i thought the ffx soundtrack was good and fairly diverse although some small similarities. ffix was not quite up to par with the ones that came before it. and from what small clips ive heard from the ffxii soundtrack, i think it sounds great.

in my opinion ff has the greatest videogame soundtracks to date. sure, some other games have pretty cool soundtracks but the ff music connects perfectly with the games and the music is so diverse. when you hear a final fantasy song it immediately reminds you of something and it takes you there.
