I feel that is has a lot of traits from Both DMC and The Newer Castlevanias on the ps2. What do you thinkSchonertod
well ive never played the newer castlevanias, but yeah it definately was similar to dmc with how you control your character with the midair attacking and shooting(except not quite as good as dmc). i feel bad for the japanese, not being able to double jump or shoot in midair because for me that was a big part of the game.
after square cranks out all the compilation of ffvii games and the ffxiii's, do you think they will eventually do a compilation of any other past games? personally, i would enjoy a compilation of ffviii, like a movie that would serve as a prequel to the events of the game or something, idk. but what do you guys think?
Personally I wanted cloud to be the main character for crisis core but atleast we get a game thats based on FFVII. DoC was horrible and I hope Square-Enix learn from their mistakes when they made DoC. I'm looking forward to Crisis Core but I don't have a PSP :( Soulja_West
i have to disagree with you there. i just finished the story mode of DoC and i actually enjoyed the story alot. it was something different that kind of focused on some things that werent given a whole lot of attention before. and we all know square is an rpg developer, so if you were expecting this game to be at the level of, lets say splinter cell, then you were just setting yourself up for disappointment. even though the actual gameplay just turned out being mediocre, i could appreciate what square was trying to do; which was to give us some more fvii storyline (which is the main reason i bought it) and to try to make something different. i found the game refreshing, sort of a little vacation from the classic rpg style .
EDIT:Â in my ranting i seemed to have fogotten the topic :). so about zack being the main character i think its pretty cool because i consider him an important character in the ffvii universe but his character was given hardly any attention. i think it would be interesting to learn more about zack and his past and all that good stuff. but unfortunately for me i also dont have a psp, but the game shouldnt be coming out for a while now so i should have to to save up for one if i really wanted to.
well your right, ive only beaten 7-10 (and doc) which are the newer ones. but i recently bought dawn of souls for the gba and im about 3/4 way through ff1 and i must admit im finding it quite fun for such an old school game. obviously it doesnt have all the bells and whistles of the later games, but at the core i can definately sense strong similarities between the newer and older games. so, to all the people that dont think theyll like the older ones, you should give them a shot, they dont bite...hard. plus, if you consider yourself a true final fantasy fan, your almost obligated to play the original game.
no, i think theyve milked ffvii for all its worth........ for now. hopefully there will be some stuff done with ffviii or something before anymore ffvii.
i havnt heard anything about a sequel, and i wouldnt really see the point in there being one. although they did do a re-release of ffxi for the xbox 360, but a re-release is much different than a sequel.
