Movie Recommendation #29.

Movie: Stalingrad, 1993.

Plot: Taking place in 1942 and 1943, a group of friends in the German army soon find themselves being deployed back on the frontline after a period of rest and relaxation, this time to help capture a key Russian city called Stalingrad. Although the battle begins in the German's favor, things turn for the worse when winter sets in, and food and supplies are incapable of reaching the weary German troops who must now fight off a massive Russian counter-offensive with what they've got. With morale low, the group of friends soon begin to question the decisions their superiors have made on the futile attempts to help the soldiers on the ground, and the inhumane treatment of Russian civilians and prisoners. The friends soon realize that it's not worth fighting and dying for Nazi Germany, and decide that the only thing that matters is escaping Stalingrad alive.

One of the best war movies I've seen in a long time, Stalingrad amazingly captures the horrors, turmoils, and courage in war. Not only that but it shows the other side of the story, and although the Germans did terrible things in World War II, not all soldiers were monsters as they too we're just like soldiers from any other army. Fighting, and trying to stay alive.

Super Bowl XLV.

The big game is here again, the Green Bay Packers against the Pittsburgh Steelers. As for picks, I'm picking Green Bay to win this year, plus they've always been a team I've had a soft spot for. Well, best of luck to both teams, and hopefully it will be a really good game.

Dead Space 2.

I've been looking forward to this one ever since it was announced.

The game so far has been great, it keeps the familiar formulas that were in the first Dead Space, mostly with controls, graphics, and sound are all well done.

It's the new aspects that make the game even better with new weapons, enemies, puzzles, and combat tactics. Not only that but because of a brand new environment and setting this makes the game longer than the first Dead Space. I was afraid EA was going to focus more on the multiplayer, but thankfully they didn't.

If you liked the first Dead Space, then this is a must have.

So Long 2010.

Last day of the year again, can't believe how fast time flies. Not much to say about 2010, it was an alright year that had its ups and downs, but in the end it turned out to be a decent year.

Well, here's hoping for a better year in 2011. I just want to say Happy New Year to everyone, and that you have a great 2011 as it unfolds. :)

Christmas Gifts.

Back from Cleveland, and man did I have a good Christmas this year.

Merry Christmas in Advance.

I'm not going to be around for a few days since I'm going up to Cleveland to celebrate Christmas with my family and relatives.

I just want to say in advance, that I hope you all have a great Christmas. :)

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.

Just want to wish everyone out there a Happy Thanksgiving. Mine has been going great so far, me and my family already ate and the food was great, now I'm just sitting back and watching the football games.

Hope everyone else is having a great Thanksgiving Day. :)

Nothing Seems To Work Anymore.

My computer broke down recently, it had been having it's share of problems but it didn't seem like they were very severe. Then the thing broke completely due to a virus and we had to get a new hard drive for the damn thing.

Sadly me and my family had to fix it ourselves just to save some money, and wow was that annoying. Right now it's working fine, but it still needs some of the programs that were on the old hard drive to be installed.

Some good has come out of this ordeal; my 360 came back and it's brand new and working great. Best of all, it was free because of the warranty. I'll try and catch up with you guys as best as I can.

Red's Becoming My Least Favorite Color.

I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later. This is the second time that I've had to ship my 360 off to get repaired. The last time this happened was about three years ago, and even back then I didn't get a red ring of death since the hardware was so broken it couldn't even produce one. So this is technically my first red ring of death.

It happened while I was playing Halo: Reach, when all of a sudden the screen turned pink, literally. I turned off the console and removed the game, then I turned the console back on without any game in it to see if I had encountered a glitch or if there was something wrong with my 360. Sure enough it appeared in all its red glory.

One other thing I noticed was that when I was checking the game to see if there was something wrong with it before turning my 360 back on again, there's this gray tinted colored blotch or stain on the back of the disk. I don't know if red rings of death can damage games, or it was just manufactured this way. If anyone has any ideas or answers, you're welcome to share them.
