Well georgia didnt want south ossetia to become part of russia, so they thought "Hey why dont we rough em up a bit and if russia attack the U.S. would back us!" But the U.S. has got its hands full of sticking its big nose in others peoples buisness, and if it starts conflict with russia that will be the end of the U.S. due to its falling economic and millitary power.

not to mention: georgia would have waited until they were in NATO if they really wanted to attack. And why attack the largest country in the world without a guarantee that you will be backed up. if they were a part of NATO they would have tha automatic support. Plus thye have to know that american support for the war in Iraq is dying and that we dont want to get involved in another military conflict. sorry you dont know what your talking about.

Thats the thing.. Georgia didnt expect russia to react so violently, but what georgia did is still wrong, regardless of how many people voted , the final result was that south ossetia was going to be part of russia

NOOO. Georgia enforced action on parts of its OWN country...why shouldn't they be able to do that? Russia only came because part of Georgia wanted to break away to Russia.

Because they were committing GENOCIDE and russian peacekeepers were sent to help them, then they were FIRED UPON.

You know, dont rely on the cops to save your ass when a criminal shows up. If your gonna be paranoid, your going to rely on others? its like saying "OH GOD THERES A KILLER COMING FOR ME, I BETTER CALL UP DAVE AT THE LOCAL POLICE DEPT." If people really are paranoid, dont rely on the cops. Take freedom and solve your own stuff, isnt that what all the americans boast about? freedom? (Im canadian, so I woudnt know) Yet what freedom is there in giving a life or death situation in the hands of others if your paranoid? and lots of times its those paranoid people that boast about americas freedom the most, but rely on OTHERS to take responsibilty for the actions around them. now, tell me, if you give someone the RESPONSIBILITY of everything that goes on around you, in the balance they get the power to control it too, thus, power-hungry cops are born.

Basically, if you wanna be paranoid, dont rely on cops, they may help, yes, but its better to have a strategy to save your own ass rather than hoping for that cop to show up, since thats many people's strategy, and if you wanna live normally, i still woudnt reccomend you rely on the police.

after reading both those paragraphs, i still dont know where you stand on this topic. your point was very unclear...

My point is that the paranoid people keep giving the responsibilty of keeping them safe to the police, and there is no cop that follows you everywhere you go.
