My question is how have you been playing Crysis multiplayer for 2 years? The came has only been out since mid-Novemver 2007.

I smell someone trying to get a pirated version up and running.

Here's a thought.

When you're mad, and people are posting ideas about what the problem might be, or why things happened the way they did, it would be in your benefit not to snap at them and take it out on people trying to help. This thread started out as people trying to answer your question and quickly became people laughing at you because you pissed them all off.

Cheers, have fun trying to prove my point wrong,it's not like I'm going to anwser anyway:Pdarx55
If you're really going to resort to the "I can't hear you, nya-nya-nya, I'm not listening so you can disprove me" defense, I'll be happy to have you no longer posting on this thread. Thanks :)

To the people who give 0 ratings, I just ignore it. It's the same nonsense of PlayStation vs Xbox 360 bashers that go on about "Console X is 100% garbage I wouldn't pay even one penny for one!" Its just comments they refuse to accept as the hyperbole it is. Sure, if you take price into consideration, you may not give it a 10 out of 10, and I wouldnt expect you to. But a zero? That immature. And I'm not even saying that because "oh you hurt my feelings, I wanted 10 out of 10 ratings form everyone and I'm bitter." It's just illogical to say there is no merit in the computer whatsoever.

Also, what you're failing to compensate for is your own personal bias against what I paid for it. For everything I purchased, what I paid is a decent price. Sure maybe I could have squeeked it down a bit here or there if I really shopped around, but I wasn't worried. Just because you wouldn't want to pay as much as I did doe not make what I paid "overpriced" and it most certainly does not make it a "waste of money." It's simply a difference in priorities between yourself and myself. I work a full time job that provides me with plenty of disposable income, and so what that for $800 dollars less, I could have a machine 75% as good? I wanted the best of the best, and I bought it and now I have 100%, which if you look at my very first post, is what I said I wanted.

But enough of that. Thanks for all the compliments on the rig. I finally got around to flexing it's full might the past few days and it's pretty awesome when running full potential. I'll have some screens and benchmarks in a few.

Hey again, to answer a few questions.

First, that heatsync is the special one that comes with the i7 Extreme chip, the regular chips have a slightly different sync. I took the pics with that because I wanted to at least get the basic stuff up and running, and the sync I got had to be screwed into the MoBo from the backside, and I already installed it at the time and didnt want to tear it all apart. I have this one since I have the room in the case. I havent fully tweaked and OCed it yet, I just tinkered with it for some settings now and gunna break into it this weekend probably.

As far as the PSU, I had the PSU previously, the 700 watt you see is a package deal I got on the case. The case and the supply was cheaper than the case alone so I figured what the heck. I was just taking pics of things as I was unboxing them.

Okay, got it up there.

http://s43.photobucket.com/albums/e381/draper98/

That was it going together in all it's messy glory. The final pics are a cable mess, I know. I was building it at the time to make sure it all synced nice and got it up and running. Spent another 2 hours cleaning up cables and whatnot and closed the tower, but havent uploaded those pics yet. More to come.

As far as pricing, I can break it down for those who wondered. I shopped off newegg.com and got some decent package deals as I bought stuff together.

i7 Extreme Edition
Rampage II Extreme
Corsair Dominator RAM
G Skill SSD
GeForce GTX 295
Cooler Master HAF Case

That's the basics of what I got. Got a Cooler Master supply but that's nothing special. Also, I realize the 130 gig SSD is small, but I have plenty of space on my slave drive for music, movies, and whatnot. For my gaming habit, I keep my most recent few games on the SSD and fly along with them. Total cost was one shipment of $1,512.61 and a second of $1,694.65. Had to break it up cause my bank didn't want me to spend over $2,000 a day it seemed. But, there's the grand total of $3,207.26.

Thanks guys, Just got it all up and running finally, and I can only say it was worth it.

To those who say I wasted money, maybe maybe not. For the exact same parts I got, I got a good deal (Dell XPS is just stupidly overpriced, but Velocity Micro and Falcon Northwest were both in the high 5k range for the same parts). I could have bought cheaper stuff and hooked it up to get roughly 85-90% of what I have now, but I'm thankful enough to have disposable income to provide for my very expensive gaming habits. But hey, at least it's a legal habit! :P

To those who want pictures, I took some as it went together, I'm just working on transfering the photos and trying to figure out how to post 'em. I should have it tonight.
