But the Micro is brighter, all up to you.mac906

The current version of the SP, the one that says "Now with a brighter backlit screen" on the box, is as bright or brighter than the Micro. (See this article here for more info.) We have the brighter SP and a Micro. As the last poster said the SP is more versatile and the screen is a lot larger in comparison. Still, I love the design of the Micro and play it more than the SP. So... it's still up to you!

Straight from Nintendo: "A full charge lasts about 7-10 hours while on the brightest setting. Battery life can be extended when using the dimmer settings."

I wanted to double check to make sure I wasn't misleading you. We charge ours about once a week and only play for about an hour a day.

We get about 8-10 hours on the brightest setting. I don't know if it makes a difference flipping back and forth between high and low. You'd think that would extend the time between charges though. If you only got that little out of it, you might consider exchanging in case there's something wrong with the one you brought home.

Right there  http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=160703

JMart0492

I just ordered that this morning. Can't beat the price. The cheapest I saw elsewhere (Amazon.com) was $18 used w/no box. Too bad the three day weekend will delay shipping. :( I can't wait to play!

Metroid Prime gets my vote. MP2 is really good too.

Reasons not to get one: 3. It is uncomfortable to hold if you have large hands.Mop_it_up

I disagree. I've got big hands and find it more comfortable than the SP. The control pad and a/b buttons are on either side of the screen and overall it is slightly wider. Probably a matter of personal preference. If you know someone who has one, try it out first and see how it fits for you. I asked to hold one at the store before I made my purchase.

Well, it all depends. Do you already have a DS or GBA SP? Might be kind of pointless if you do.

I got a micro about three weeks ago and love it. I was a little put off at first by how small the screen is in comparison to the SP but I got used to it pretty quickly. Nice sharp picture, super light, feels good to hold. They're cheap right now too. Go for it!
