What's the point of buying a micro when you have like a GBA?:? Not to mention it's now even more fragile than the SP...Unkillable

No point, really. I just wanted one! It is more comfortable to play- super light and a little bit wider than an SP- but the tradeoff is the smaller screen. As for being more fragile, it's true that the SP is like a little tank. I'm all growed up though and take care of my stuff. ;)

[QUOTE="xraydash"]We've got a pair of the most recent SP's with the brighter screens and I am slightly disappointed to report that the micro doesn't seem quite as bright or colorful when I compaed the same title (Pokemon LeafGreen/FireRed) side by side. Or maybe it's just a different brightness and color that I'm not used to yet.Vazere

The GBM's screen brightness is like the DS Lite's, in other words just plain better then the sp..

Maybe I didn't make myself clear. We have the GBA SP's that said "Now with a brighter backlit screen!" on the box. They are the most recent design and are actually brighter than the Micro's. You can read an old article about the change here .

I couldn't resist the sale at GameStop so I bought a new micro today. It's so sleek! I like how it's lighter and just a little bit wider than the SP. We've got a pair of the most recent SP's with the brighter screens and I am slightly disappointed to report that the micro doesn't seem quite as bright or colorful when I compaed the same title (Pokemon LeafGreen/FireRed) side by side. Or maybe it's just a different brightness and color that I'm not used to yet. Anyway, it definitely has a sharp picture and a fantastic design. I'm happy I got it.

[QUOTE="Phazon-King"][QUOTE="jinsing129"]Yeah i gave up like a year ago trying to beat it the last boss got on my nerves.jinsing129

Just change visors. He goes in this order: Combat, X-Ray, Thermal, Combat, ect.

No my reflexes were fried and I couldn't get into the little trenches in time, and i haven't had the spirt to go back and beat it even though I'm thinking about it.

That sounds like the boss before the final boss, heh heh. It's a two-for-one battle at the end. It took me a few tries but I finally did it. I thought it was hard though.

That said, if you never had a Gamecube and aren't getting a Wii, it might be worth picking up. Even moreso if you are on a budget. There are several titles worth checking out, and they can be had for cheep.flintgijoe

Yeah, if you're not concerned about getting the latest games, there's a lot of great titles to be had for cheap. I guess "dead" is a relative term. GC is pretty much dead as far as brand new games are concerned, but if you haven't played through the best ones from the past few years you can still squeeze a whole lot of "life" from the system.

But no one has answered my second question. Can I get Deoxys in Fr and Lg? Some say I can't.Tuffle26

Maybe. This page shows the exclusives for each game, including a Deoxys for each version, but I can't confirm from personal experience.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. The sucky thing is that I had to give the game back to my kid (it was one of his Christmas presents after all) and he started a new game, thus erasing all of my hard work. I'm thinking about picking up yet another copy (we have both LG and FR- damn you, Nintendo!) becuase I really had fun playing it and kind of want to try to "collect them all." Also, it's fun battling and trading with my boys. We recently picked up Pokemon Colosseum for the GCN, so there are still more battling and trading opportunities.

By the way, does Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald have multiple saves? That's one thing that really bums me out about FR/LG because instead of being able to share one game we each need our own copy. I imagine the same will be true for Diamond/Pearl, but we don't have a DS yet so I won't worry about it at this point.
