More like telling developers that great games sell.

The problem is not piracy, but developers getting lazy and releasing half-assed ports and generic games instead of actual good products.

As long as it's as action-packed as Crysis, I wouldn't mind it being 5-6 hours long.

Heck, I wish it's Assault/Onslaught-intense from beginning to end.

You should really just upgrade your motherboard. Seeing as how you have a C2D chip, you already have DDR2 memory, so all you need is a new motherboard before you could use a PCI-e graphics card. I suggest you increase your budget by about $50, then you can get a much better graphics card for the same price.kodex1717
He does not have a C2D processor, but a Pentium D. They're completely different in terms of architecture, C2D being superior.

EDIT: Uhh, yeah. I'm also confused as to how you have an AGP slot. Some motherboard manufactures put AGP on their boards along with PCI-e, but you'd also have a PCI-e slot. Either you're confused and don't have an AGP slot, or you're confused and don't have a C2D.kodex1717
They normally couple them with a PCI-e x1 or PCI-e x8 slot, butit would be pointless to put a x16 card only to have it run at a lower speed.

Gigabyte EP35C-DS3R motherboard $130

AMD Radeon HD4850 video card $185

4GB DDR2 800 RAM $88

500GB 7,200RPM HDD $80

550W PSU $65

Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit $110

Intel C2Q Q6600 $190

Tota: ~$848 US Dollars. It should be about 900 Euros (because parts are slightly more expensive in Europe)

The CPU will most likely bottleneck the GPU. If you're going to buy a single video card (that is, not a SLI/CrossFire setup nor a X2 model), a 550W PSU should be more than enough.

How many fans does your case currently have? Does it have room for more? I'd recommend having at least 3 (that is, on in the back and two on the side).

As that Indiana Jones guy said, you'll need to buy a new computer. The only things you can upgrade on a laptop are the hard drive and the RAM (unless you get incredibly creative and mod it entirely).

The T processor gave it away, as well as the Mobile video card.

A single HD4870 should be more than enough.

Unless you're planning on playing on exorbitantly-high resolutions, you won't need a X2 card, nor a CrossFire/SLi setup.

One 4870 can max out any game that's currently available @ 1080p with AA and AF with no problem (with the obvious exception of Crysis), and there don't seem to be many graphically-intensive games coming out soon, besides Far Cry 2. But then again, if it can run Crysis at a pefect framerate, FC2 won't be a problem.

How does original poster have a core 2 duo 6320 with an agp 8x slot?Gamerkat
What do you mean? It's perfectly reasonable; they put the worst motherboards on these machines to make them affordable.

For the same price of an 8800GT, you can get a Radeon HD4850, which is much better than both the 8800GT and the 9600GT. However, if you're low on cash, get the 9600GT. It performs similarly to the 8800GT and costs about $100.

Unless you have a monitor with a resolution higher than 1680x1050, simply grab an HD4850, or wait for the HD4850x2.

A Gigabyte DS3R mobo would've worked better.

The DDR2 RAM is great. Don't bother spending $100 more on DDR3, it's not worth it.

Even if you go SLi, 1100 watts is overkill. A 700w PSU would've been perfect, but for a single card, a good quality 600w one would be much, much better.

Instead of the Phenom, you should've grabbed a Q6600. Coupled with a Zalman 9700 or any other high-quality heatsink, you could overclock it all the way up to 3.4ghz, and probably even higher. Even at stock speeds, it's on-par with AMD's current high-end processors.
