I am getting sick and tired of seeing threads in System Wars of posters comparing the PS3, the Xbox 360, or the Wii, to an item, person, or even a racial group. These threads quickly go off-topic, and do not serve System Wars.

Here are two recent examples:

- One comparison thread (rightly locked by a moderator) compared the PS3, Xbox 360, and the Wii to U.S. presidential candidates that quickly became a political discussion. I thought the forum is System Wars, not Partisan Wars.

- Another comparison thread compared the Xbox 360 to American-built cars which quickly became a car discussion. There is a forum to discuss cars and their reliability on the GameSpot boards.

I suggest that like the character vs. character threads, that console comparison threads be banned in System Wars. They quickly go off-topic and serve the partisan interests of some posters.

The attitude that the original poster expresses is the same attitude some expressed on the use of motion controls or the stylus in video games. There are ways to play a video game other than a gamepad, and there will be a time when a new technology will eventually make it obsolete.

I am interested on how motocycles will function in this upcoming game, as well as the concept of vehicles making flips.

There is no need to be paranoid over giving your credit card over the Internet if you buy from a secure and reputable web site. You may want to purchase a wireless router since there are limits with a wired connection.

It is illegal to steal wireless Internet bandwidth from your neighbors. I made sure my wireless network was cloaked so no one can stealing bandwidth from it.

It has the same color and theme as the Wii console box. If you take issue with the boxart, then you will take issue with minimalist art in general. While plain, it is not flashy and gimmickry that we are often used to in video game art.

and remember america is now officially in a recession, when this happens, consumers tend to make betting buying decisions... i think with Blu Ray in mind, ppl are buying the console that seems more future proof... ppl are not as ignorant as you think when their is a money issue. those who feel they can afford to make a luxury purchse like a gaming console, will most likely make a wise decision during this period in AmericaRage010101

Regardless of the economic state in the United States, Americans will continue to purchase video game products. The recession of the early 1990s did not severely affect video game sales, so did the post Sept. 11th period.
