Actually, Catherine is a transvestite, not a transexual (or "transgender" as many now liked to be called). Two different terms. He is genetically male, but disguises himself as female.

Because of the common stereotype that transvestites are homosexuals, Nintendo of America changed Catherine's name to Birdo and changed his gender from male to female. There is no evidence that there is more to Catherine than being a transvestite.

Not really. It kind of annoying seeing people do dumb **** and call it funny. It makes the gaming community as a whole look like children. just like last week the whole Mass Effect thing and fanboys were making movies insulting the woman and ****. Wasn't funny and it was childish.

If the gaming community acts like children, then I will no longer have part of it. Other than idiocy done on the Mass Effect controversy, other idiotic acts include ignorant, prejudiced, and Western-centric comments against Shigeru Miyamoto (absurb claims that he "rips-off" game ideas from previous games, or that he and other Nintendo game designers look unattractive), Japanese RPGs ("I don't like Final Fantasy because it has men that look like women"), and Japanese tastes (as if Westerners have "better" tastes) in gamiing.

Some companies come together and made a smash clone for the gc and ps2 in japan. Dream something. It didn't do so well.

The game you are thinking is called Dream Mix TV: World Fighters. The characters are from Konami, Takara, and Hudson. Solid Snake from Metal Gear, Simon Belmont from Castlevania and Optimus Prime from the Transformers appeared in this game.

Good news! Play-Asia shipped my copy of Smash Bros. X early this morning, Eastern Standard Time. I thought since I pre-ordered the game on January 8th, that I would have to wait until early next week because of severe supply limitations. I was wrong, but am happy that it shipped this week.

Since the courier UPS does not deliver on weekends, I expect to receive the game either Monday or Tuesday. I can return to this thread next week to discuss the game.

I am waiting for Smash Bros. X to ship from the import shop I ordered from, as like all retail stores, have been affected by limited supplies. Even though I am avoiding all spoilers on the Internet, I just hope that there is an language option as found in the previous game.

I may receive the game this week or next week when the import shop receives a new batch, and will post here again once I played the game for some time.

This reminds me of the long lines for the Nintendo DS Lite nearly two years ago. I would like to see the first-day sales for Smash Bros. X, as it is now 2:46 p.m. in Japan.

Good thing that I pre-ordered Smash Bros. X from an import store early, as I do not have to wait longer for my copy because of the supply shortage. Will the long lines be imitated in North America?

It seems that because some people do not get it that they are not supposed to display spoiler information on this thread, I decided to leave the Nintendo Wii forum until I have my hands on Smash Bros. X (either next week or in the next few weeks). I do not want my interest in this game lessened because I am exposed to spoilers.
