Well , Bill 156 is essentially the permanent ban of Anime and Manga considered "inappropriate" for the youths of Japan.
I'm probably gonna repeat myself again , but the ban includes the following
"Hentai" - ( Essentially , Anime corn )
"Loli Anime" - ( Characters who are , or shares resemblance to children )
"BL Anime" - ( Boy's Love , you should know what that means , it's VERY , VERY popular with the girls )
"Yuri Anime" - ( Like the above , but it's about girls for guys )
"Ecchi" - ( Anime which features lots of... fan service )
"School Anime" - ( Apparently , "children" are deluding themselves with fantasies of non-existent characters.. )
"Guro" - ( I don't really wanna explain what this is )
"Anything inappropriate , really" - ( Your imagination and knowledge ought to take care of it )
The Claim of the Reason of the Origins of the Bill
Bill 156 was passed as the government was worried about the youths of Japan , particularly those who call , or is dubbed by society as "Otaku" were getting misled by Anime.
Such as the infatuation or the desires they feel towards something non-existent , deluding themselves in a fantasy whilst taking little notice of reality.
So all in all , it's pretty much a social problem for Japan... From the government's point of view anyway.
"Retaliation"
Actual Otakus and Doujin Mangakas aren't actually taking in any form of significant action against the bill.
It is mainly those of official companies and it's affliated Mangakas and developers whom are actually the ones making any noise in Japan at all.
However , it is obvious that the polititians give little notice to Otakus and their words were literally ignored regardless of their attempt to change the minds of those in the government service.
Currently , those "protestants" in Japan are rallying readers and consumers alike in their movement against the Bill 156 which had yet to be taken into reality.
So people , it's time to GO TO WAR!!!
Well , verbally anyway , we'd just need to rally up and show our unhappiness against the bill.
Doujin
There was actually a Manga released on the Bill itself and it's pretty informative as it talks about the Bill from the developer's view and the actions they had taken , but were foiled by the government themselves.
Well , it's generally a joke Manga , but it generally wants to rally the support of Otakus across the globe and something about the "youth being the frontline" against the Bill itself , I suppose that's true , it'll be better if we all did something about it.
What I intend to do :3
I wanna form a group to rally the English-speaking Otakus against the Bill itself.
But the thing is , I don't know how to get started nor get into contact with these Japanese developers who are actually the ones who proposed the rally of Otakus against the Bill.
I mean , as the saying goes "weak as we are divided , strong as we are united" , there's little point if we form groups left , right and centre whilst having no ability to communicate with each other.
Doubtful Bill
The Bill might not even be passed at all... I mean , Japan's economy isn't exactly a sight to look at right now and Anime is a pretty good income for Japan as well.
What's more , quite a few Hentai and Anime companies are still releasing content which are supposedly to be banned provided that the Bill does take place.
According to Sankaku Complex , even after the declaration of the Bill , some companies are still rolling out their products as usual , though some cautious companies have entirely scrapped off what they had intended to do before the Bill was mentioned.
