or instead of changing your whole motherboard you can get a AMD 6000+ or 6400+ for 159.00 on newegg. Just depends on how much work you want to do.

Hopefully you made some system restore points, if you did just restore it. Should be like F11 or something like that during Bootup. I would try that before you reformat, also ive heard that its never a good idea to use a PSU that comes with a case. I would change the PSU even if it isnt the problem.

you ssaid you used to have a X1300, im pretty sure that card is AGP, do you have a pci-e slot?

The GPU isnt the only thing that is causing the stutters, more ram plus a better GPU will put a stop to it.

you dont even have a PCI 1x slot lol, I dont know why everest is saying that. Clearly states one PCI-e 16x slot, so I would say just to ignore it.

Ill be, I could have sworn my 6000+ only had 2x512 on the L2. Well if you want 200 more megahertz of performance lol, then the 6400 is fine. Sorry for the bumb advice, suprised me too.

Unless your mobo supports AM2+ processors the 6400 is as good as you can go with AMD.
