Dragon Age and Fight Night are mixed up, Dragon Age should have got this Readers' Choice award with 405 votes, not Fight Night Round 4 with 74 votes. It has something to do with the links and the if you mouse over them on the 'Results' panel you can see they direct to the wrong pages.

This is a brand new build, i7 with a gtx 295....and im noticing like a flickering in the backround on "light" colors or lighter pages, like greys and whites...like a rolling, pulsing distortion that isnt noticable on some screens but noticable on others.
Ive got an Acer 22" LCD hooked up to this machine, and this is driving me nuts.
The fact that my card is running games solidly otherwise, should mean that this problem isnt my card...or could it still be?
Ive got vista 32 installed on here until my 64 version arrives hopefully today, but could this be conflicting somewhere by chance? What can cause LCDs to get that distortion?
Anyone have any idea where i could start, and drivers i got them all pretty much.EdgeOfThorns316
You're just seeing the screen refreshing, it happens with some moniters on large areas of solid light colour, it's also more visible on larger moniters.
Really? Hm, thats good to know...it just isnt something im used too. See i havent built a new PC since about 01, so i been out of the loop with all the new tech. Now would that be something that can be curbed a bit with a monitor that refreshes even faster? In theory yes, but most flat panel monitors only go up to 60 - 75 herts which may not make any difference.

[QUOTE="Cranler"]Steam is probably mostly to blame. At least partly.chandu83I don't see how. It's a Ziff Davis site, and as we all know, Ziff Davis has been having a lot of problems. Their GFW magazine closed sometime in 2008 I believe. So this is not something that just happened. Another good resource sinks under the current economical disaster. We salute you Filefront.

Why did they even bother calling this Cry engine 3?
THA-TODD-BEAST
No worries.
According to SuperMario and his infinite wisdom, the engine will look vastly different and superior on PC's. Anyone with half a brain, in fact, should know this.
What we're seeing here isn't actually CryENGINE 3. It's CryEngine.. err.. CryEngineConsole3. Or something like that. But all you need to know is that CryENGINE3 in PC is going to be uber better than what we're seeing here. Like, much better. Far superior. You see, once we get the PC version and crank the graphics sliders up, the engine will transform into a completely different, far-superior, non-Crysis-look-alike one. Wait and see. Seriously.
Seen top end still struggle for perfect frame rates with maxed out Crysis on Cry Engine 2, what the hell are we going to run a vamped up Cry Engine 3 on?
I mean they must have made some real underlying changes to the engine to make it run alot better.
