Not only that, but I think it was the first to use melee, if not the first, the first to pull it off. Not to mention Halo is just so much fun to play.lokiisback

Melee-ing with your weapon was nothing new when Halo came out, but it was never useful and almost always considered shameful to "die by melee".

If you don't like MP then skip it, but if you buy it for its single-player and don't get your money's worth, don't go around bashing it. That is like saying "I wasted my money on World of Warcraft because I can't even access the single player mode for some reason and I hate multiplayer". Go buy Oblivion if you want single player.

The only required playing you are missing is GRAW 2, but the online on that is going to overwhelm you with Gears' and CoD2's online. Eventually though.

[QUOTE="AnalogOdyssey"]I hate it, I mean I already bought the game and they expect me to pay more money for maps.. I like free donwloadable content... What do you think???BikerPunk

seriously you bought the full game, and the new things are just addons. if you dont want them, dont buy them. Its simple, the companies that make the games, are there for making money. If people are complaining about paying 4 bucks, then you really should take a look at your life, and spending habits, and see if you really should be paying 500+ bucks for a gaming system, if 4 dollars is too steep for you.

You guys are paying for XBL, which goes thru to MS. As for the gaming companies, who have CONTRACTS with gaming companies, such as Epic, they need the extra little coin too, which comes from the cost of Map Packs.

Now your gonna say, EPIC WANTS TO GIVE FOR FREE!!!!! yes they do, but im sure that in thier little contracts with MS, that they have to come to a deal, MS wants money, thats what its there for, but be assured, that a company like Epic, is not going to let MS take all the profits from that. Be assured that EPIC is getting thier share from the GEoW map packs.

There is a lot more involved then one may think. If you think that your petitions, and your compaining is going to change the minds of these comapnies, you got another thing coming. Simpley because they have dedicated players, such as myself, that are willing to pay for the extras. My way of saying, "thanks for not giving it all in one CD, and releasing something to keep the game alive".

Sure there are those online games, where the game comanies give you the free servers.....have you ever played on them? THEY SUCK. why do u think that large clans, that play PC, pay a few hundre bucks a month to run thier servers. Im part of a BF2 clan that has 3 BF2142 servers, 3 BF2 Servers, and 1 TS and 1 Vent server. hmmmm how much do you think that costs us to play? Thats for one game.

so, your 60/year - MS

your 4-10bucks for addons - MS/Gaming company.

dont be a cheap bastard.......dont eat at Mcdonalds today, and go buy the map packs instead. after all, 2 4L of milk, costs more then the addons on XBL.

I agree. If I paid $60 for the game and I am satisfied, then it isn't like those extra maps are required to enjoy the game. However, if we start releasing multiplayer games with one gametype and two maps out of the box and charging for more, I am going to get pissed.

Saints row is worth 60 to meWraithsLotus

I would probably say the same if I hadn't played the life out of the GTAs already. It is still fun, though. Also, I think Gears of War and GRAW 1/2 were all worth their price tags.

[QUOTE="explodinglamas"]i dont play halo2 anymore, compared to the normal 360 titles, it just doesnt do if for me like it used to, it seems ive become immersed in more varied objectives... realism, or something new, rather than the plain run and gun that halo inspires. i do however still like and play the original halo, the classics never dieWraithsLotus

halo isnt a classic..

Goldeneye is a classic

Doom is a classic

Wolfenstein is a classic

Quake is a classic

halo is not a "classic"

The only thing that those games have that Halo doesn't is AARP memberships. Each of them brought an innovation, and so did Halo. It was the first good dual-analog shooter, brought vehicles as part of a level onto the scene better than any games before it that tried, and had great multiplayer (far better than Goldeneye IMO)

Both. $120 well spent, since each offers a unique experience. I suck at reflex shooters like Gears and Halo (although I still love them) but I am finding that I clean up in GRAW 2, especially since I just started playing it online.

Ever consider that they are Xbox owners that you are meeting on live? Before my friend got a 360, his gamercard always said Halo 2 and he looked like a 360 user with zero achievements.

While it is definitely worth the money (I believe about $25 worth of MS Points), you could argue that it is not equivalent to 5/12 of Oblivion. When you take into account that the main game cost only $60 (waaaay underpriced if you ask me), then the Shivering Isles expansion isn't really a good deal. I don't agree with that logic, but GS could be viewing it that way.

It seems like every time I log on to GRAW 2 multiplayer looking for a team-based match with more than five or six people in it, all I can find are games that are at 00:31/15:00 or full games. What search parameters/times and days will give me the best game. I really just want to play TDM or Objectives in a good, large game. Thank you.
