zwgiantsfan's Pokemon Tips - Easy (And Cheap) Guide To EV Training (Gen IV)

Yes, an easy way to make your Pokemon unstoppable.

But how you must ask. I will tell you.

When I was younger, someone used an Action Replay on my Pokemon Diamond to give me infinite rare candies and money. As a result, I can level up my Pokemon and buy any item with ease.

If you have this in your game, buy tons of vitamins. Also have your rare candies ready.

I will use my new Eevee (soon to be Espeon) as an example.

Moveset:

Psychic

Psyshock

Calm Mind

Shadow Ball

All of my attacks are special, so I will use 26 calciums (keeping in mind that I have infinite money), to fully EV train its special attacks. I will not train its attack at all, taking full advantage of my high special attack and psyshock being a special move that inflicts physical damage. In addition, I will try to get a modest Eevee, which boosts special attack, but decreases attack. In addition, I will distribute the rest of of EVs evenly throughout my stats, with a tiny bit of emphasis on special defense.

When this evolves into Espeon, its stats are focused on the specials, making my Espeon a special attack powerhouse (395 special attack stat).

I hope this lesson helped you all if you had someone mess up your game (I'm talking to you swww2198), but this unfortunately does not work in Black and White because I have no idea if there are Action Replay codes for these games yet.

So I recommend transferring over a few of the Pokemon to you Generation V game(s).

And there you have it. Fully EV trained Pokemon at your command.

Now if I can just get a modest Eevee egg, I'm on about egg 12 I think. :P

My 3DS Impressions

So I love it.

Put it that way.

Its small so its easy to take on the go.

The battery life is not really good, but I've never let it lose so much battery because I charge it a lot.

The Mii Maker is just like the Wii. Nice.

Haven't really got to experience the StreetPass Mii Plaza because I haven't been around other people with 3DSs.

AR Games are fun, but it's annoying to be 14 inches away from the cards.

Face Raiders is great. It makes you constantly move around shooting someone (I made it my sister ).

The Activity Log is interesting. Nothing really else to say.

The cameras are good. But 3D pictures are great.

Nintendogs + Cats is great. The 3D plus enhanced dog + cat graphics make this an incredible sight. Some little additions like the walk being better add on to the fun. Haven't played it too much, really this is just from watching my sister play it.

Street Fighter is amazing. I love it. I play it all the time. I'm okay though. My record online I think is 5-1 or something. I use Seth, with my backup being Ryu. I haven't really tried many other people. Maybe I'll try Hakan, because in Arcade mode, with me using Seth, Hakan is my rival, and I can never beat him. I'm not really that advanced with Street Fighter in general. I like using the touch screen and shoulder buttons mainly. I think I am a D rank, but I'm working at it. I can't believe I never got into this series before this. The 3D isn't really anything special because it is a 2D fighter, but its still something nice. The 3D mode is okay, but the moving of the camera angle constantly is annoying. I have 248 PP right now. I also really like the StreetPass. My team is a level 5 M. Bison, level 4 M. Bison, level 4 Gouken, level 5 Juti, and level 2 Juti (due to maximum level constraints). I have 69/500 figures in total.

For anyone that wants to be friends, my friend code is 1977-0183-9640. Call me whatever you want. You can challenge me to Street Fighter, just PM me.

__

That's really all for now. I wanna go play more Street Fighter and use other characters and get past Seth in Arcade (I got past Hakan, but the last guy is Seth even though I'm Seth. Weird right?).

GOT MY 3DS!!! (One Day Early)

So I was about to leave my house when I get a call saying that the 3DS came in stock one day early!!!

So I took my pre-order and got my awesome 3DS.

I really can't talk right now because I want to play my 3DS as soon as possible and I have to finish all my homework first .

So I'll post first impressions tomorrow....

-zwgiantsfan

Mad Beyond Belief

I want to kil everyone at GameStop.

I went there weeks ago and pre-ordered my 3DS.

I came back to find out that the lady who did my pre-order was dumb and new and charged my gift card $5 instead of $50, and those $5 weren't even recorded.

That's right. NO 3DS.

The next order comes in on April 1 (friday), and they made me pre-order it... AGAIN.

I really am depressed now and hate GameStop.

That person needs to be fired and they owe me my 3DS, even if I have to pay for it.

I can't really describe this feeling.

If you saw me you would understand.

-zwgiantsfan

3DS Today!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, the 3DS is released in America today, and I am ready to pick up my pre-order 3DS!!!

The game I have to buy is Nintendogs, and if it turns out I have enough money, I'll also either get Street Fighter or another Nintendogs version for myself (other one for my sister).

What do you guys think?

Another Nintendogs, Street Fighter, or just AR games for me?

__

Well I haven't really blogged in a while because I've had nothing to blog about.

So, I'll just update you guys on my White team, and again ask for battles because they are fun.

Training Is Harsh

So I've been training my team in Pokemon White.

It's harsh, no doubt about it.

It's really hard to train them all at the same time, especially when levels vary and opponents levels are always high.

__

Volcarona lv. 71 (no training needed)

Musharna lv. 57 (gaining levels as the flow continues, window of oppritunity to be replaced)

Deino lv. 47 (training)

Eelektross lv. 46 (training)

Zoroark lv. 25 (not training, turning into a waste of space FOR NOW. could be replaced until its time to train him or for good)

Tirtouga lv. 31 (same deal as Zoroark)

Other possible combinations:

Volcarona (fire/bug)* / Chandelure (fire/ghost)

Sigilyph (psychic/flying)** / Musharna (psychic)* / Vaniluxe (ice) / Samurott (water)***

Hydreigon (dragon/dark)* / Haxorus (dragon)

Eelektross (electric w/ levitate)* / Meinshao (fighting)****

Excadrill (ground/steel)* / Zoroark (dark)**** / Seismitoad (water/ground)***

Archeops (rock/flying)* ** / Carracosta (water/rock)***

Notes:

* Top Pokemon in slot

** Can not be used together

*** Can not be used together

**** Should be used together if used

What do you guys think of my new possible team?

For swww2198 who I know will yell make up your mind ( your my best friend so who really cares), I have a few guys at the top of mind, I'm just open for advice and want opinions from other trainers.

By the way, awesome places to train are Small Court and Big Stadium ;).

The Death Of The Nintendo DS

After a long run of some great DS games on a great, innovative, handheld system.

__

The DS was innovative in a few ways, especially for handhelds.

The DS had TWO SCREENS (Nintendo Dual Screen). This can lead to a much enchanced vision of the game, as there is more to look at, making the gameplay varied.

But for the two screens, it mattered what the screens were.

The top screen is just like every handheld system / console: a screen for viewing. But the bottom screen was something special. A touch-screen, something unheard of.

The touch screen made the Nintendo DS special, and that is why it will always be remembered as it moves on and advances in technology.

__

Here are a list of the great games the have come and gone on the Nintendo DS:

New Super Mario Bros 64 DS, New Super Mario Bros., Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, Scribblenauts, all of the Pheonix Wright games, all of the Professor Layton games, Dragon Quest IX, Nintendogs, WarioWare D.I.Y., Advance Wars: Dual Strike, Pokemon D/P/Pt, Pokemon HG/SS, Tetris DS, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Final Fantasy IV, The World Ends WIth You, Mario Kart DS, and Picross DS.

This list was finally topped off with Pokemon B/W being released last week (March 6), and Okamiden being released yesterday (March 14).

These games are the end to an impeccable run of great Nintendo DS games.

__

But now as the Nintendo 3DS being released in around two weeks (March 27), DS games are no longer going to be made (at least not the high quality ones).

__

So this marks the end of an era, and the beginning of a new.

__

So what do you guys think about the run of the DS? How will the 3DS make out?

R.I.P. Nintendo DS

My New Pokemon White Team After Beating The Elite Four + Anybody Want To Battle?

Ya so I'm just gonna list my new (non-legendary) party.

__

Volcarona (Uber Pwn) lv. 70

Musharna (Sleepig) lv. 53

Deino (Nuff Said) lv. 39 / Haxorus (Kookamunga) lv. 49

Tynamo (Eleplank) lv. 34

Tirtouga (WaveCoaster) lv. 30 / Samurott (Samurai) lv. 50

Zoroark lv. 25

__

Does anyone have any recommendations? Because there are a few major types that I am missing.

__

Well as this team is still training, I have another fair team ready (you can ask blobulus, we battled). So if you want to battle, just PM me. I request Pokemon around the 50's, or maybe one Pokemon in the 70's if I decide to use Volcarona or two in the 60's.

It will also be your choice for legendaries or no legendaries.

My FC is 2623 1887 4092.

Fourth Game Completed in 2011: Pokemon White (DS)

January 18 - Plants vs. Zombies (iPhone)

February 9 - Portal (XBOX 360)

February 24 - Sonic Colors (DS)

March 11 - Pokemon White (DS)

__

So today I finally beat Pokemon White (DS).

This game is the best entry to the series so far, and it really grows on you, especially as the game is ending.

__

Now I KNOW what all you Pokemon fans are saying: "You can't beat a Pokemon game, ever, or maybe if you fill up your Pokedex 100%".

Okay, I agree. But by beating it, I mean I got to the credits after (trying not to spoil here) beating the Elite Four and then a little bit more.

When I completed the game, here was my team;

Zekrom lv. 52

Samurott (Samuri) lv. 49

Haxorus (Kookamunga) lv. 48

Victini lv. 48

Krookodile (Cocodrillo) lv. 46

Beartic (Mama Bear) lv. 45

__

Now I'm sick again, and I will be for the next couple of days, so if anyone wants to battle, PM me.

__

Going to go play some more White :)

__

-zwgiantsfan

__

EDIT: New Team:

Haxorus (Kookamunga) lv. 48

Zoroark lv. 25

Tyrano (Eleplank) lv. 27

Tirtouga (WaveCoaster) lv. 25

Sigilyph (Boss) lv. 20

Litwik (Waxinette) lv. 27 (Most likely to be replaced by Larvesta lv. 1 or Volcarona lv. 70)

__

Any recommendations?

I've been thinking about putting a Deino in because Hydreigon is Suto-Legendary (600+ Base Stat for a non-Legendary), but Haxorus is my personal favorite just because I love Axew.

Sick Day = Time To Beat Pokemon White

Ya so I'm sick today :(.

But that means... I HAVE THE WHOLE DAY TO PLAY POKEMON WHITE!!!!!!!!!

Here is my status update:

__

Team:

Samurott (Samurai) lv. 40

Beartic (Mama Bear) lv. 42

Fraxure (Kookamunga) lv. 42

Victini lv. 38

Krokorok lv. 37

(Trying to catch Thundurus lv. 40, but it is hard because it is a roaming legendary)

Badges: 8

Location: Route 5

__

So I finally beat all 8 gyms!!!

I decided that I would be much better off with Thundurus (an electric-flying legendary), than Zebstrika (an electric Pokemon).

So I went on Marriland to see how to get it.

Its a roaming Pokemon unfortunately :(. But he recommends going in and out of Route 5 and waiting for a storm. So that is what I am doing.

I've seen the storm a few times. The first time, I saw Thundurus, but killed it in one shot with my Mama Bear's Icicle Crash.

So I had to turn off my game :(.

Since then, I've seen the storm about 3 or 4 times, but every time I see it, it is a NORMAL wild Pokemon, not Thundurus.

__

I will be updating my status throughout the day I hope.

__

-zwgiantsfan

__

EDIT #1: I found Thundurus, and got it into the reds!!!!!!

EDIT #2: Paralyzed it!!!!!!!

EDIT #3: Used False Swipe to get it to 1 HP!!!!!!!!!

EDIT #4: 1 roll!!!!!!

EDIT #5: 3 ROLLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT #5: I've thrown about 20 balls.... still no Thundurus .

EDIT #6: Accidentaly used a Master Ball. Had to shut off my game :(.

EDIT #7: AFTER OVER 2 HOURS, I FINALLY CAUGHT THUNDURUS!!!!!!!!
