ok fidelity be damned why the hell is the ps4 versions rain suck ass. so it that what i get with my 1080p ps2 rain. just look how it sheets off the environment in the x1 and pc screens

Eurogamer did did screenshot comparison with PS4, Xbox One, PC High Setting and PC Ultra HD Setting.

The difference is minimal, hardly noticeable unless you really push your eyes, which is not good for your eyes. In EG comment section 90 percent of comments shared same opinion as me.

What people dont understand is that HD is worse for your eyes, by picture being so crisp and detailed your eye has to work harder than for example being outside looking around because its a level of unnatural detail.

Lot of times i play my modern PC games on resolution lower than 720p even tho i sit few feet from my TV.

I have the ultra HD texture pack installed because I have a 6GB card, believe me no console can produce the texture quality, lighting or framerate at 1080p of PC. These comparisons are really dumb besides, it's hard to judge based on these recordings. Honestly, you can't really know unless you see the game running on a PC with the Ultra HD texture pack, it destroys console.

Wow, did they purposely make the PC look bad? Just like Watch Dogs and supposedly The Division when it comes out? I don't like this trend I'm seeing in video games...

I've said it a thousand times. First when gamesites do these "video comparisons" the compress the video so it can be posted on their site. Secondly, They ALWAYS look better no matter the system when seen in person on a decent HD TV if the TV is setup properly.

These videos are completely useless. If the point is something other than generating page hits from fanboys, Gamespot should do an actual technical analysis like Digital Foundry where they indicate if graphical settings are different from one version (Console A has 2X AA, Console B has 6X, etc.) to another and verifying frame rate performance, etc.

The game looks like crap on all three, if we're being completely honest. Looks last gen even on the PS4. Until devs stop dumbing games down to the PS3/360 level and then upscaling for the new hardware, games will continue to look last gen. I won't be buying this game. It looks like crap and every LotR game to date has been junk.

PC obviously wins since they downgraded the available textures.. stupid comparison.

sooo true! The only difference in these videos is always the contrast, but this time, the brightness on the pc is also screwed.

Whoever calibrated the PC version need to learn how to use brightness/contrast

They all look like it's running on an Xbox 360. By the way, does anyone know how it performs on that platform?

Gamespot, I lova ya, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop making these comparison videos. Whether it's the video player, internet compression, etc., we cannot tell based on these videos which looks better. Everyone just picks the machine they like the best and then says that their version looks best. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!

Perhaps do a hi-res non-compressed internet download link? Or maybe it would be better if you try all three versions side by side and do a single-blind "taste test" and someone chooses their favorite version, then write up their subjective experience with the visuals of the different versions. If one machine does actually look better, I would like to know that, it doesn't take anything away from the fun of other people with different machines.
