The Most Disappointing Games of 2014 In 2 Minutes

next to titanfall, thief was was definitely the biggest waste of money all year -__-

Well, i guess Cam wont be interviewing an Ubisoft developer again.

NHL15 was a huge disappointment for me, and not because of the missing game features. I found the game to be incomplete in many ways. The in-game presentation was very lacking in its statistical analysis and could have included little details like out-of-town scores. The AI was straight-up horrendous, even though adjusting sliders made it a little better. The AI was very unbalanced. Be-A-GM and Be-A-Pro modes were really stripped down with very little to do outside of the actual games. I was expecting next-gen polish and shine with the extra console power going to executing the immersion more than past games and it felt like a huge let down.

I still love playing hockey and the in-game is still fun, but for the most part it is among the worst NHL games in the franchise, in my humble opinion. I hope they answer the call next year and fix many things, but I am afraid that they will cater heavily on the online league, which I could care less about.

I wasn't really disappointed with Watch Dogs, loved the game tbh. Some minor things annoyed me though. Like when you're in the car listening to music, and when you're passing by a criminal activity spot, the music gets interrupted and you automatically start the activity :s That was pretty dumb imo.

This show is amazing. Cam and Seb still bringing the humor now that Danny has left for the States. Dust sandwiches, anyone?

2014 has been an awful year. I'm spending much more time catching up on old ps3 games than on my ps4. Funny that's how it was after launch last year as well... Should have just waited with next gen it's been a huge waste so far

I hate to admit it, but I have been trying to defend "PoopySoft" amidst all of this negative press, but I just checked my level for "Initiates" online a few seconds ago and realized that after the 7 Gig Patch, "PoopySoft" managed to lower my level for "Initiates" from level 12 to 4!!!!

OMG, damn you "PoopySoft!!" Why this when I was just about to get the Italian Ezio Audiotore outfit! I just needed to reach level 13 initiates to get it , but NO "PoopySoft" fvcked up my leveling, now I will never get the outfit or anything with a higher requirement.

*sighs*

I think it's time I uninstall this game, buy Dragon Age, and use my 40 Gig+ of space for a new adventure in Inquisition. I am desperately trying to have fun for before I have to go back to college next semester.

I would think Destiny is the biggest disappointment, or it would have gotten GOTY.

Assassin's Creed Unity was the biggest disappointment of the year, unquestionably, for me.

Ubisoft, hands down, won another year of disappointments. The name is now synonymous with poor quality, cookie-cutter production, and absolute miserable QA/support that warrants the loss of jobs in droves. They have run their own name through the mud so often that it's now comical to see themselves shoot themselves in the foot as often as they do.

Good call on the Skyrim MMO. One of the most enjoyment-draining experiences of my life was doing a 3-month run with a friend. It was an endless "fly through the dialog, go somewhere, do a thing, come back for reward, repeat." Horrible.

I think its easier to list the 3 games that were good this year.

As it stands now 2014 now holds the crown for worst year yet in my ~29 years of gaming.

2015 looks to be either one amazing year or a year that tops this one with the shear amount of utter crap.

I had forgotten about Thief. Yes, what a huge disappointment that was. An attempt to resurrect what was once one of THE pinnacle stealth franchises, only to see it fall flat on it's face. I am just glad the same has not happened with Deus Ex.
