@SlashHalberd calm down man it's just for fun noone says you have to fit a category it's just an interesting analysis of the different types of gamers. of course in practical use most of these would overlap but it's still interesting non the less to see gamer stereotypes pointed out. don't get your panties in a bunch over it

I am actually a bit of every type of gamer lol. But mostly completionist :P

Reader

I'm definitely a completionist, reader and introvert, with a dash of the builder and analyst.

i'm a rapper / mathematician type.

I feel bad about this but I follow more towards an introvert; do not get me wrong multiplayer games are fun but it seems like the gaming industry is trying to make the game community more of a social thing wth games like Call Of Duty: Black Ops.

I'm gamer.

I am Exterminator,completionist and analyst.

I'm a combo of the reader, introvert, and analyst. Of course a good shooter is great too. I would be curious if a gamer exists that is definitely one and only one of the gamer archetypes. Can't stand builder type games though.

i dont really care about the game genre, aslong as i enjoy it; that's all that matters.

I can relate with alot of these some more so then others, but im unsure what i fall into.

It's hard to actually put myself in any of the categries specificaly (which is probably the case with most of people). It really depends of type of game or mood. If you belong to one category this year it doesn't mean that won't change next year.

Cool... so far I'm a Completionist, Reader, Analyst, Builder, and (somehow) both an Introvert and an Extrovert. I suspect, when this is all done, I'll be an amalgam of 12 or more of the 'types' being discussed, which makes me wonder how valid this idea is.

At first I found myself to be just a completionist. Now I find myself to be a combination of completionist, reader and analyst.

I'm definitely more a Reader with a dash of Introvert.

I like to read lore books in game and check all dialogue options. I also have several game related books like Halo, Warcraft and more.

I'm an very slight Introvert in the sense that I like to lose myself in world in my games but I also do that in MMOs so...

Lately I don't play much Multi because I prefer local couch type.

After watching this episode I feel like I'm a mix of Reader, Introvert, Builder, AND Analyst who doesn't mind playing multiplayer games from time to time. The one thing I know I'm not is a Completionist or Speed Runner.

I do like to read, but none of the catagorys are for me so far. I think I am probably a competionist/reader who enjoys multiplayer and just casual games just as much!

Still finding myself to be a completionist :) but all these suits me one time or another.:)

I'm a lazy introvert completionist(reader). But i have been playing cod multiplayer lately so i think i have a personality problem

bit by bit, times we use for gaming will be reduced. love the times when we were kids, when there are no responsibilities, have lots of free times, no worries and every day is play time!!

Bits of some but not all that they cover. I enjoy puzzle games, fps and mmo. Completionist, but if I can't find every flag, lore whatever I can live with that. Exterminator, not every thing must die except the monsters that get it my way.

An amalgam of introvert and extrovert, I'll mmo but there comes a time when I like my space.

A bit of a Reader, but not if the cutscenes are boring.

Completionist here... i just checked EVERY nes game, one by one, and next is master system...

Hmm out of all these the only one that comes close would be the reader. I love games such as Elder scrolls.

I don't think you can really label a gamer as one gamer type.. as I am also a mix of various genres like - Completionist, Analyst, Builder, Introvert, Extrovert, Reader, Exterminator ~ so it depends on the game. If a game requires me to be a certain genre then that aspect of me will appear lol..

Definitely have some reader tendencies. I just plain love a good story and background in a game, Jade empire's and the Elder scrolls being two great examples.
