Why I'm Not Excited for Forza Motorsport 6

I couldn't even watch till the end of the video it was so bad. When this guy says that since he loved FH2 he "should" be stoked for Forza 6. Why? Because they share a part of their names? They have titles different for a reason Mr. Clueless. They are different takes on racing. They aren't supposed to be the same. What a stupid, narrow minded and clueless video. The standards Gamespot has for hiring editors is sinking lower all the time..

Thinking all racers should now be like The Crew is just plain idiotic.

I truly hope Turn10 can do SOMETHING with the multiplayer and the rampant corner cutting in Forza 5. There's just not enough penalty for this kind of behaviour while also using other cars as friggin breaks into corners. This maybe a tad harsh for a mainstream sim racer, but take a good look at iracing and see how they, and the community deal with this kinda shi*t from people... Hey, it works.

I found Horizon and Horizon 2 ok, but after 1 month I stopped playing and never bought DLC. I found them both a little TOO arcadey and dumbed down. You feel like you are on rails.

Forza 4 I bought all DLC, played it for over 2-3 years and loved it. Forza 5, also purchased all DLC and it's a game I still turn to when I want some fun. The absolute LAST thing I want for Forza 6, is to have it go free-roam like Horizon.

I appreciated Forza Horizon's freedom compared to regular Forza, but after a while it's Horizons freedom that limits it's longevity. Forza Horizon is like a Poker Machine that always results in 777. There's no difficulty, you can completely screw up and you'll get a reward. They might as well just get you to do a short quick time event at the start of the game to get 100 million credits.

A lot of people missing the point of the article here. It's his opinion, he's not saying that forza 6 will be bad, he's saying that he had so much fun with the freedom of horizon that going back to the serious track based game feels like summer is over, and it's time to get back to reality.

I disagree, the races are glitchy and easily winnable and therefore lack any challenge. Also you don't get any satisfaction of bettering your times since there are no set tracks. The free roaming is fun for about 2 hours, but what then?

I'm just plowing through the game about now and when I feel like racing I switch to FM5. I also have a ps4 and I think Driveclub is too arcadey and gives you grief over cutting corners. That being said, FM 5 is the best of the bunch. Best racing game still, FM4, that game was just perfect.

What a stupid opinion, why not have both

After playing the demos at E3, I'm not excited about many early 2015 games, but you don't see me go about criticizing something that hasn't been released.

The Horizon series tickles that Most Wanted fancy I've had since 2005. But the mainline Forza series is a long standing tradition for me. I like the track treatment.

this guy is an amateur..iwish GS had someone who knew what racing games was about.."the tyranny of the track"is what real enthusiasts crave..i bet he couldn't get round nordschleife in his wrx under 20min...

I agree. We race on the same tracks over and over. I love the Nordschleife and Tsukuba just as much anyone else, but I'm much MORE excited to see where Horizon 3 goes when it inevitably releases in 2016. Back to the US? Asia? Africa? I can't wait.

I'd also love to see Forza branch out into a TRUE off road and rally game. I just don't get excited for track races anymore.

Sounds like MS is trying to annualize the Forza brand. I've never been a fan of annual sports games. It all seems so pointless because each iteration is really nothing more than glorified DLC. There's nothing wrong with a constant stream of content, but calling it a 'full fledged' game and slapping full RRP for it is downright dubious.

"Why I'm not excited for forza 6" speak for yourself lad and a bad effort to down play a big game but lucky for turn 10 no one cares what you think gamespot . I think the only people will take this on bored would have no intention of owning the console it's on let alone the game.

If the next Forza game actually introduced rally, and did it right with a variety of tracks, holy hell I'd buy an Xbox One very quickly. Make it happen MS and you'll have a new fan, and you'd also put the nail in the Dirt franchise.
