As an X1 owner, I prefer that Microsoft doesn't take the lead. They have been great in second place. I don't want to see them get complacent

@MrFreehuggs They're like political parties, whoever stays at the top gets complacent after a while. But I agree, MS in 2nd works really hard. They've made quite a turn around.

@MrFreehuggs I must agree. MS gets very cocky when they are in the lead and "consumate" their customer in every way they can. And that's not just a console business. Now they have to try very hard.

Sony does too, though. I still can't believe how I can invite someone to a game in seconds on my PS3 yet it takes 3-4 times as long to do so on my PS4. I have been concerned about this on Sony's end since release day. Is it currently the better console? Arguably yes. Does it have what it takes to keep that position? I'm not so sure.

@MrFreehuggs True. But it s really no different than a deal like " buy 5 get 1 free". You are not getting one free, You are paying for 6 at a lower cost than buying 5. Its all marketing. I'm sure you know that, I just think its worth saying.

@MrFreehuggs the closest I came to 'free' was when PSN was hacked and we got some 'free' games...so basically I 'paid' by no being able to play my console properly.

@kyelo @darkess123 That's a point, Sony were barely trying before MS got involved. They took a lot for granted and were happy to just bring out updated versions of the same thing. They had to work really hard in the first 3 years of the PS3's life.

Competition is why last gen was so good.

i chose the xbox one when game did the trade in deal. It has more exclusives i care about over the ps4, and my mates all have one too. Personal preference though, to each their own. I think this is the perfect time for a price reduction for xbox, with halo and sunset overdrive coming out.

@darkess123 Same could be said about you Sony sheep. If you are not gaming on a PC then you aren't really gaming. You must be really poor if you need to game on that plastic over-hyped piece of plastic PS4. Maybe one day when your balls drop you may be able to experience real gaming on a PC. @alaskancrab @Unbound72 @darkess123 $50 for Shadow of Mordor on Steam yet $60 on consoles. Borderlands the Pre Sequel gave you $20 off if you already owned BL1 and BL2. Alien: Isolation $50 on Steam but $60 on console and the same with Lords of the Fallen. Not sure where you are shopping but PC game prices drop substantially quicker than console games and at much lower prices. Purchased Skyrim legendary editon for $14.00 on Steam. Tomb Raider for $7.00. Metro Last Light $7.50 and the list goes on.

@kyelo @phloyd74 I have always been a fan of the Halo series, since original xbox, so Halo 5 has me insterested. I also like the Forza games, There are a couple of slightly interesting games incoming on PS4, Bloodborne, MGS5. but as you said there are no world changers, At this moment in time the incoming stuff for Xbox, I personally find more appealing, I haven't played any of the current gen multiplats on both consoles so I couldn't say which performs better.

@Vylsith @Dannystaples14 @dannydopamine18 Performance doesn't matter as long as gameplay quality isn't sacrificed. Nobody can give a rats ass if one console has a better resolution than the other or if one has 5 fps more than the other. As long as it doesnt detract the gameplay experience, its all good.

@strothers101 @kyelo @phloyd74 I never said that, I said there are no big game changers like PS had with Metal Gear or XB with Halo. There are a few XB exclusives I'd buy if I had one but none I feel I am missing out on. Would be the same the other way around.

No he did not. He made a very true comment.

If you owned neither console there is no real big first party title to go yeah that console stands out on either side.

If you already own one or the other then yes games are worth buying. The stand out titles are multiplat mostly and those happen to run better on ps4 at the moment.

Halo5 Uncharted 4 change that dynamic next holiday season though.

He was clearly talking about killer system seller. Said neither do and they really don't honestly. He wasn't being negative sounding to me. He simply doesn't own an x1 and said it's the same in reverse as well if he had bought x1 first.

Both have great games to play obviously.

Like I said next holiday season really changes that. The real system sellers come out.

When the next wave of big titles hits, we will see. I have a PS4 and tbh, I haven't seen much that's incoming to impress me. The Xbox has got some good stuff landing soon, If i was in the market to buy a new console at the moment, my money would be on the Xbox. To me It's not the amount of pixels a console can push that concerns me, but the quality of the games available.

@phloyd74 I'd be interested to see what exclusives XB1 has that you hold in high regard and the PS4 ones you do not?

I currently see no deal breakers or world changers on either, the best games are multiplats in my view...which perform a little better on PS4. thus my purchase.

It really doesnt matter if it beats the PS4 in sales. What matters is whether or not the X1 is providing a sound experience for its consumer base...the constant updates coupled with the slew of amazing exclusives...its kind of hard to not see the xbox one as a great investment.
