Xbox One Price Drop - Can it Finally Beat the PS4?

@Adam802 a whole lot if not all of your reasoning is opinion and you are wrong about power difference its rather easy to put down in numbers the difference... you can do math so its as easy as multiplying 320 x 180... heads up thats a big number. and that is just resolution difference now throw in shaders and bandwidth and youve got a pretty big gap in terms of raw horsepower so denying it seems rather delusional at this point. as for the ps3 catching up the the 360... that was mostly because for a whole year xbox was the only game in town so it didnt need to race anybody to a 'finish line' it just strolled along until it had a competitor,a competitor which ultimately beat it in the end i might add.

Very True. I remember i was an early adopter for the PS3 and Sony just could not get its head out if its collective ass. No rumble, PS3 game case art layout changed, the spiderman font was abandoned randomly...it took a while for the PS3 to feel really stable and comfortable.

If it only lasts till January can we really call it a price cut? Isn't this basically a sale?

I'm still crossing my fingers for a 299 black friday deal.

It's so messy behind you guys :P Anyway, my thought is that it's still too expensive for a second console or budget conscious buyers who won't buy it for a few years still. What it does help is those that have been interested in the console but have held off for a slightly better holiday purchase (which is quite a lot of people, but not enough to overtake obviously.)

Hmmmm I can't decide :). I think it will definitely give them a boost, of course, but might not be enough to beat the PS4.
