Which console is the most powerful? On paper, Microsoft's Xbox One X console is the most powerful system with its 6 teraflops of performance. This is over 4.5x of that of the original Xbox One and 1.4x the PS4 Pro, its closest console competitor.

No Caption Provided

Which console offers the most storage space? The console that currently offers the most storage space out of the box is the 2TB version of the Xbox One S. It’s worth mentioning that you can swap out the storage drives on the PlayStation 4 consoles, which is something Xbox One systems currently can’t do.

Which console is the smallest? Being a handheld console, the Nintendo Switch is the smallest system here measuring 4x6.8x2.1 inches.

Which console is the heaviest? While the Xbox One X is the smallest Xbox console yet, it's also the heaviest out the bunch, weighing in at 8.4 pounds.

Okay, there's a DRAW between Switch, Xone and PS4 in the "Color" comparison, so apparently same level.

@computernoises: Thanks, bud. I edited the article to add the two additional USB ports from the Switch's dock.

I'm looking forward to the Xbox Scorpio's release. It and my PS4 Pro will exist perfectly side by side as my previous MS and Sony consoles have. The fact is both consoles will have games that I enjoy playing at some point as I did/have on my PS4 and Xbox One. MS just has its job cut out for it right now in finding that sweet spot with releasing the right games that appeal to a wider variety of Xbox fans. It needs to look back at some of its Original Xbox and Xbox 360 successes other than Halo, Forza and Gears of War. All of those games are starting to feel tired like some of Capcom's games did at one time. Yes it has exclusives coming out this year but nothing compelling. It needs to look past those few exclusives it's announced. Hopefully E3 will carry with it a great number of exclusives/new IPs this year for the Xbox family of consoles. I'm looking forward to seeing where things will go for both Sony and MS once the PS4 Pro and Xbox Scorpio are out. It's finally starting to feel like the console generation we should have started out with after the PS3 and Xbox 360. I even upgraded to a really good 4K gaming monitor a week ago to see what the fuss was about and I have to say there really is a distinguishable difference on PS4 Pro --- minus HDR which didn't matter a great deal to me --- it's not just hype with certain games.

I love how nobody grew up, we just got older. This is the same "IT'S GOT BLAST PROCESSING!" "MODE 7!!!" argument we were having 25 fjorking years ago on the playground.

Play what you love and stop with the absurd fanboyism!

@joshrmeyer: Oh yeah I forgot, Wii U was Nintendo's final home console. It sucks that Nintendo exited the dedicated home console market on such a low note..

@Guy_Brohski: You're getting picky with words. Everything needed to play can be held on your hand anywhere on the planet... the power supply, the visual screen, the controller, the processing chips, etc. It can also be plugged into a tv. So tell me which it sounds like, a handheld or a home console? Compare apples to apples. The ps4 is a much better comparison, or even ps3/xbox 360.

Oh and my Surface Pro is weaker than any PC at the same price point and time it's released. Both serve their own purpose, although the OS is identical.

@joshrmeyer: How am I being picky with my words? I simply stated the fact that Nintendo quit making dedicated home consoles, which is very true at this point.

@joshrmeyer: I was looking forward to Nintendo returning to form as a top contender alongside MS and Sony in the home console arena. I want my 4K TV to stretch it's legs when I connect it to a new gaming device. I have no interest in buying any more portable game systems, because I already own a Vita and a 3DS for my gaming on the go needs, and I honestly rarely play them anymore as I'm a pretty busy guy outside of the home. I just don't understand why Nintendo thinks I'd want an extremely underpowered home gaming experience just for the sake of portability, or a very powerful handheld that just happens to connect to a TV. There was a time when Nintendo focused on being a premier dedicated console manufacturer, with an equal focus on premier dedicated handheld systems. And it succeeded on both fronts. Now it seems they completely forgot about it's home console market, and are content to peddle a handheld with the tacked on ability to play games at home. So here's my question to Nintendo: Did the Wii U do so poorly that they suddenly think people don't want dedicated Nintendo home consoles anymore?

@Guy_Brohski: I personally don't like handheld either... screens too small. If I get a switch it'll be on the dock 99% of the time. I wish nintendo would have at least tried to get to ps4 Pro specs, and still have the exclusive games, that actually look and still play really good.

@Guy_Brohski: well I'm not really the kind of hardware guy, I have a ps4, a vita, wii (currently playing xenoblade chronicles and it's a fantastic game) I'm really more of a kind of game experience guy, I really don't care much of specs I care about the games, even games like xenoblade or 2d games like axiom verge are beautiful in their own right!! Of course I love to see high end games with nut blowing graphics, but if the game sucks and it's incredibly expensive to make and you have to buy a broken game ridiculously expensive?? I don't think it's worth it

Scorpio hardware running a ported version of Forza 6 with Native 4K / 60 FPS and only 66% GPU use is huge. That thing should smash any multiplat they throw at it. Now if we could just get some decent 1P games in our library.

@itz_sinz: it will for sure run most multiplat games (unless poorly optimized) better. But they should have ran a more modern and demanding game like gears 4, quantum break or Forza horizon 3. That would have been a real good test to see what it's really capable of. I think it will run games similar to the original Xbox one but in 4K. Motorsport was 60 fps on Xbox one and Horizon was 30 fps. I think Scorpio will do the exact same but in 4K. We'll see what happens though I hope that power gets taken advantage of my most devs.

Crazy thinking that the PS5 could be due in only three more years, I still have the first version and I won't be getting rid of it any time soon. Especially since 4k isn't even mainstream yet.

As for XBox, I've played a total of around five games on it, I'll be waiting with the next XBox.

Just got the Switch, pretty cool, hoping they come out with a stronger version eventually. Love all the local co-op games they release, really hoping it takes off.

@Thretosix: Just because it's becoming cheaper and Netflix does it doesn't make it mainstream. Once the average user has it and is turning on their tv watching average channels, then it will officially be mainstream.

For example it took more than 15 years for the current standard to be ratified, accepted and “setup” for broadcast over the airwaves. So no, it is not "more than I think", it's less than you think.

@Thretosix: Ahh yes everyone you know, that must be a fantastic representation of the general population. And nice comeback, "Maybe you aren't mainstream yet.", because that would disprove the fact that 4K is not mainstream.

Maybe next time you decide to reply to someone with a random useless comment, you could take five minutes to get your facts straight, now go crawl back in your hole.

@Mo_mann: Hey man, 4k is mainstream, 8k is right around the corner, you can buy 8k displays although they aren't cheap. Right now you can get a 4k TV at a reasonable price. Want to talk about random uselessness re-read your comments. I can't help that you can't see past your own disillusions. To me if just about everyone I know owns something in my perspective it is mainstream. You are arguing my opinion from my perspective while telling me my opinion is wrong. Grow up.

@Thretosix: "To me if just about everyone I know owns something in my perspective it is mainstream.", and I'm delusional? You're basing an entire population off of your very small and narrow observations. You have yet to give one actual FACT about how 4k is mainstream. You've said nothing except that a 4k TV is a "reasonable price". Gather some actual facts about the real population, instead of the few people you know, and then you may be a little closer to having a decent argument. Now take your own advice and "grow up", there are many more people doing very different things than the few people you hang around.

@Mo_mann: He is 100% right, you are late to the party.

TV manufacturers dont make FHD tv anyone, at least all the mainstream like Samsung, LG etc, if you want 2016 or 2017 models. Especially if you buying mid to high end models they are all 4K.

The only FHD TVs that left are 2-4 years old Low-end models, when they sold they sold. No more.

The specs seem good for a console. Now let's just hope the price is good as well. I would gladly pay $399 for this but I think it will be closer to $499. Also thank you MS for the 4K BluRay inclusion since I don't have one of those yet. Also I am looking forward to the XB1 games I haven't played because I only have a PS4 right now.

I also want to build a PC but PC doesn't have a a UHD BluRay standard yet. So I need something like Scorpio for my entertainment system.
