lol the Ps3 is selling 5 times more than the 360

i do not think that microsoft can do anything to make the xbox 360 sell well in japan.even halo 3 did not sell well there.it remained only for a week i think at the first place of sales but after that it was passed by many other games in sales.ds still sells like crazy and wii is on the top so we can see that they love the revolution nintendo is bringing with their systems.the other countries agree too because wii and ds are first everywhere so i believe that nintendo has made eveything right to make their systems succesfull and they deserve it.

Blame MS, not Japan!! hey do me a favor, go to ign.com and click release dates for the 360 in japan. 360 has more rpgs then the ps3. and other games i never heard of that must be there to try and suit their taste.

I could care less what Japanese gamers are playing. Now that we have the 360, it's time to break this trend of getting Japan's table scraps. Both markets show that consumers want regional independence, so be it. I won't miss those crappy turn-based RPG's anyways. Western dominance FTW!

Whoa whoa.. Stubborn? Thats kindof harsh I own a 360 and a PS3.. However my 360 has never RROD and i've had it near a Year now.. With that being said why would I purchase a console with no solid Games and Frame Rate issues over one with an extended library? Granted it has a 30% chance of dying on me but so what? It hasn't.. not yet.. That doesnt make me a "Stubborn American". I didn't buy a 360 cos I believe Americas "#1".. I bought a 360 because it happened to have something to offer me that Sony and Nintendo couldn't.

Paladin Ill name one rpg that the ps3 has that is better than all of the 360 rpgs "Folklore". And as everybody b4 me has stated only in America are they prefering the 3fixme over the PS3, because get this are you ready? Americans are stubborn.

ScottEFresh Paladin the PS3 is outselling the 360 in Europe. As of right now the only region leading in 360 sales is the U.S.A. in my opinion the ps3 is selling more is because of the price cut that all.. people recognize a bargain at 400$ when they see one. and besides, how many of those people that bought a new ps3 already have a x360?

It's not so much the games or RPG's out now.. It's the ones that will return to that console Sony has Star Ocean 4 and FFXIII + Versus and etc.. And the 360 has? Infinite Discovery and Lost Odyssey which both look good and I will probably pick them up.. But when I want an RPG a solid RPG i'll go with Sony. Besides it's not a "racist" comment.. It's kindof like sports people root for Home teams instead of Away, you see? Now Microsoft is the Away Team and Nintendo/Sony are the Home Teams.

PS3 is the best console because it has so much power and the technology it has to offer. PS3 is starting rise in 2008 becuase of the games! PS3, yes master, RISE!!! LOL!

It's simple...Americans will buy trash, simple as that. 360 is a good console and great games ya but it's made like crap. Thing will bust on you. Japanese don't like people who can't make electronics...think about it...would you buy a *** product if the failure rate was known to be close to 30%? I didn't think so.

Ps2forever can you be any more racist? Maybe the 360 lineup of games isn't something they are in too. DO you think that could be the reason sales are down. Not everyone in the world loves shooters and maybe when a few good rpgs and action games hit the system maybe it will pickup. If your not into shooters I don't think the 360 is for you and it might not be for the most of the Japanese market. But I could be wrong.

Well Microsoft doesn't have much to appeal to the Japanese market they are attempting but failing pretty bad.. I mean the only JRPG's are Blue Dragon? Eternal Sonata? that are on the 360 and Eternal Sonata is being ported to the PS3 so it makes sense that they don't support a console that doesn't have much to offer them except Shooters.

Microsoft do not need to win in japan, or even do good. Compare U.S sale's with japanese sale's, America alone is one huge big piece of pie in hardware and software sales, japanese devs/publishers are now concentrating on getting some of that american pie, thats why 360 has japanese developer support, its certainly not because of the install base in japan. IMO the japanese market is not the big market it used to be for top end consoles, the U.S and E.U are the biggest markets and doing wel in both them is more than enough to have a big install base that the japanese developers will developfor that platform.

All this 'Nationalistic' stuff s complete rubbish, they just dont like the game lineup for 360, it's as simple as that. They buy iPods etc just like everybody else, they aren't 'racist' or 'nationalistic' wen it comes to buying consoles. Anyone who thinks that is just plain wrong.

It is normal that the japanese are supporting their own products. Just as americans do the same - this is why the 360 is selling this good in US. EU is a neutral ground, and I think figures there are closer to the real appeal of these consoles on the general gaming population. Too bad EU is unable to make it's own console.

why do we get weekly sales for japan, but none for the us or europe? I mean, its great and all to see japanese sales, but its hard to get a global picture without having a us/canada and a europe weekly sales report too.

The Japanese will only support Japanese Products! That is just how they are they are loyal to the Products of their country. They should just focus on Europe adn make that a dominate market share. Besides Europe seems to be putting out the best games as of late. I'm sure your guys over there will agree!!

That's pretty terrible for Microsoft. I don't think they should stop trying but I don't believe they will crack the Japanese market, at least not nearly in the same way as the American Market. Microsoft could try getting more Japanese developers to make for them and try focusing more on games they know the Japanese and Americans would consider buying or renting. (And the rest of the world too,)
