I've heard that Intercooler isn't the best idea in the world. Anyone care to back me up on this...or tell me I'm nuts?

My 360 glitched a lot when using the intercooler, so I took it off. My 360 still died completely a couple of weeks ago, but that was due to a software update, not the intercooler.
The rap against the intercooler is that it does not have it's own power source, so it takes away from the power available to the 360. that both makes sense to me and sounds like voodoo science, but in any case when I get a new 360 I won't be hooking up an intercooler to it.

A friend of mine got himself into some legal trouble and needs money desperately and soon, so between his friends and the game store where he works, we have converted his game collection into as much money as possible. Unfortunately, what he had was far less impressive than we all had been led to believe. Either he has sold a lot of it without telling anyone, his girlfriend has "borrowed" some of it, or he exaggerated a great deal. At this point, I would believe any combination of those reasons. What a mess.SWEET!
For my part, I paid $120 for the following:
1. Sega Nomad, v. fine, with AC adaptor and hang-on battery compartment, otherwise loose. I have a replacement screen protector that will take it to n. mint, I just need to install it.
2. The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino & Hoppy, NES, n. mint, cart and sleeve.
3. Operation Wolf, NES, v. fine, complete.
4. Battletoads & Double Dragon, Genesis, n. mint, complete
5. The Horde, SAT, n. mint, complete
6. Iron Man & X-O Manowar in Heavy Metal, SAT, n. mint, complete (I bought for the nice case)
7. Three Dirty Dwarves, SAT, crushed case, otherwise n. mint (see above)
8. Super Puzzle Fighter II. GBA, v. fine, complete (box a little crushed)
A very slow delivery (supposed to arrive on December 7th) from an eBay seller in Canada arrived yesterday containing:
9. After Burner, SMS, fine, Euro version, no instructions (traded already)
10. Great Baseball, SMS, v. fine, complete (traded already)
11. Great Volleyball, SMS, v. fine, complete (the last "Great" sports titles for me)
12. Hang-on/Safari Hunt, Canadian edition from Irwin Electronics, SMS, v. fine, complete
13. Rampage, SMS, n. mint, complete (upgrade to my other copy that has a damaged insert)
14. Wonder Boy, SMS, v. fine, complete (upgrade to my cart-only copy, which was traded already)
for $22 shipped. The games from this that I traded already yielded $11 in store credit.
I recently found a couple of other interesting things:
15. Capcom vs. SNK 2, PS2, n. mint, complete, $24.29
16. Lethal Skies, PS2, n. mint, complete, $15
17. Phantom Brave regular edition, PS2, n. mint, complete, $14.57
18. Winback 2: Project Poseidon, PS2, n. mint, complete, $8.99
19. TRON 2.0 Killer App, Xbox, n. mint, complete, $8.99
20. Metroid Prime Pinball, DS, n. mint, complete with rumble pack, $11.69
20. Gears of War Limited, X360, new/sealed, $69.99
21. Table Tennis, X360, n. mint, complete, $20

Got lucky and picked up a mint sealed copy of Alpha beam with Ernie for the Atari 2600, it set me back $10 AUS (7 US)
Crash Tag team racing - PS1, non GH, disc only $10 AUS (7 US)
James Pond Codename Robocod - PS2, new $19 AUS (14 US)
GTA San Andreas - PS2, new $19 AUS (14 US)
I really only remember James Pond on the SNES, How comon is the PS2 version then?
It's for hard for most of us to get a feel for the rarity of games that are released in Australia, Europe, or Asia. I just looked for James Pond on PS2 on some of the North American-based search sites, and I couldn't find any information for it. I have a version on the GBA as well, but I don't think that it's terribly rare, as I found it discounted at a major retailer a few years after its copyright year.James Pond Codename Robocod - PS2, new $19 AUS (14 US)

Battle arena toshinden URA (Sat)

For a total of $30, Mint, but cart only (cept for BAT of course, it came with everything PERFECT condition).

Maximum Carnage is a great game. (Also, check out Seperation anxiety).
AND on the topic of the intercooler for the 360, another complaint Ive heard about it on top of the fact it pulls power from the 360 is that while it may pull heat away from the 360 that the 360 generates, the intercooler generates alot of heat itself and has actually been known to mess up the casing of some 360s. Again, only recounting what Ive read.

Dynasty Warriors 4 XBox...disc is good condition, box in mediocre condition, no book. But only $10 CDN. It normally sells for about 10 - 15% more than 5 (and 3 is worth the most).
Also picked up Zelda 2: Adventures of Link for GBA. Not too hot on the Zelda games, but I did like Zelda 2 a lot, actually. Plays just like the manuals. $15 CDN, cart only, good condition.
Holiday Sweep Day Two.
I found a couple of unusual things today. I remember joking with a friend of mine about a blurb on the back of the box for Pro Fishing Challenge for the Xbox, "Supports most Xbox Fishing Controllers." We had a good laugh thinking about this large and diverse field of Xbox fishing controllers that may or may not be supported by the game, since we'd never even seen one previously. Well, I've seen one now, and I purchased it: Naki's "Bass Champion X." The crazy thing is macro-programmable. There are apparently some pretty sly digital bass out there that require exotic button combinations to land.
1. Alfred Chicken, NES, v. fine, complete with poster, box shelf-worn, $14.95
2. World Soccer '98, SAT, n. mint, complete, $12.95
This one ties 3D Baseball, Daytona Netlink, House of the Dead, Panzer Dragoon Saga, and Winning Post as the rarest U.S. Saturn games at a Digital Press rarity of 6 (I'm ignoring the Lost & Found homebrew)
3. Epidemic, PS1, v. fine, no memory card stickers, $7.95
4. Theme Park, PS1, v. fine, complete, $19.95
5. Dog's Life, PS2, n. mint, complete, $26.99 (this one has been elusive)
6. Double Dragon Advance, GBA, new/sealed, $29.95 (so has this)
7. River City Ransom EX, GBA, new/sealed, $29.95
8. Naki's Bass Champion X fishing controller, new/sealed $11.70
pretty good! I got Dog's Life new for 19.99 it's first week, it screamed "rarity" DD and RCR are great finds! the rest are very good.Holiday Sweep Day Two.

I have only seen it in the resale market, slowly climbing in price. ya, I was working at gamestop the first time when it came out and we all (the staff at the time) baught one of the 5 copies we ever got. I hadn't opened it untill this year when I felt like playing it. it's fairly entertaining though it needs save spots closer togeather... it is an interesting action/adventure/puzzle game.

2007 Christmas presents: Round One.
My family did Christmas on Saturday night because both my sister and I will be spending the 25th with our significant other's parents.
My parents gave me: Guitar Hero 2, Metal Slug Anthology (PSP), and Super Robot Taisen Original Generation 2.
However, the cart for SRT:OG 2 was in an already opened box for the first game (they said it was the last copy the store had; they must have picked it up from an EB or GameStop), and had packed with it all of the inserts (manual, altus registration card, etc.) for the first game as well. I didn't want to make my parents feel bad, so I didn't mention it. But now I'm gonna have to buy both 1 and 2 (until now, I didn't own either) so I can get a complete set of both. :P Oh well. The best part is being with the family anyway. And the desserts!
(Edit: Round two, with the in-laws, comes tomorrow morning of course! :))
('Nuther edit: I didn't actually get MSA in hand of course, but it's on order from Amazon. I'll have it when it comes out.)
I guess I'd chalk up the box switch to overworked EB or Gamestop people, still a pain in the ass, though. Having to get both games isn't so terrible a fate.2007 Christmas presents: Round One.
