Ouuuu..... Thank you for informing me about this one usagi. I've got Mobile Light Force 2, and didn't know they made a sequel ... and bothered to release it in the states. Ima go put this one on my tracked list now.
Well, I'm back in the game collecting saddle after submitting my dissertation and passing my Ph.D. defense.gmsnpr
Nice job Dr. Garrett! May I ask what the title of your dissertation is? Also, what is the Ph.D. in?
Well, I'm back in the game collecting saddle after submitting my dissertation and passing my Ph.D. defense. I still have to edit the dissertation and my job search is in full swing, but in the mean time, I found some good stuff. A friend of mine is leaving the state, and to make the move easier, decided to part with some of his game collection. Here's what of it I selected for $150:some uber-killer games there. I'm pretty jealous of the STL price.
- A Sega CDX, v. fine deck, AC adaptor, controller and A/V cable but otherwise loose (I've now cleaned and tested it)
- 3 Free Games (the Saturn Pack-in with Daytona USA, Virtua Cop, and Virtua Fighter 2), v. fine, complete
- Die Hard Trilogy, SAT, n. mint, complete
- Galaxy Fight, SAT, n. mint, complete
- Tomb Raider, SAT, n. mint, complete
- Virtual On: Cyber Troopers, SAT, n. mint, complete
- Sega-brand Saturn Driving Wheel, loose
- Jet Set Radio, Import DC, n. mint, complete with spine card
and I also picked up:
Star Trek: Legacy, X360, n. mint,. complete, $31.50
I am pretty pleased to find some decent Saturn games (esp. Galaxy Fight) on my want list without resorting to eBay.

Nothing Crazy, but I happened to pass one of the larger Gamestops around, one that still has a few N64 games, which were buy 2, get 1, so I picked up (all carts only):
Hybrid Heaven (never heard of it) - $4.50
Shadowman $2.50
Forsaken - Free
Then I also picked up
FZero (GC, complete) - $7
Valkyrie Profile Lenneth (PSP) - $26. Case and UMD only. No instruction book. I later figured out why. The case was a display-only case, it didn't even have a bar code on the back. But the game is the full case

My degree will be in Chemistry; the title of the dissertation is Structure-Property Relationships in Gas-Phase Protonated and Metalated Peptide Ions, unless it gets changed in the next few weeks to something a little snazzier. I had a subtitle, too, but then it was a mouthful. My degree will be in Chemistry; the title of the dissertation is Structure-Property Relationships in Gas-Phase Protonated and Metalated Peptide Ions, unless it gets changed in the next few weeks to something a little snazzier. Wow, most impressive. I've got my Master's Degree in Computer Science, and let me tell you, I am done with school at this point. I commend you for being able to stick with it long enough to earn your Ph.D.
My father was a high-school Chemistry teacher before he retired. I was even in his honors Chem class fourteen years ago. Believe me, you can't get away with anything when your dad works at the high school you attend. :P
Oh yeah, and your dissertation sounds absolutely mind boggling. I was more of a Physics guy myself. Too much memorization in Chemistry for my taste. Balancing chemical equations was fun though.

I'm an IT student right now. Even though I grew up on computers, no one believes you know what your doing until you have a degree (at least around here). So, I went back to school at the ripe old age of 28.
Gamestop now lists games for the TRS-80 Color Computer, so I was able to add these three games to my collection today:care to switch your wording?
Microbes
Star Blaze
Stellar Life Line
All were aquired for free from my parents.

What a coincidence! Some import goodness from Play-Asia came in the mail for me as well today! I got:
Sega Ages Vol. 25: Gunstar Heroes: Treasure Box (PS2)
Which includes the original Gunstar Heroes, Alien Soldier, and Dynamite Headdy. Which of course are all super great games (I mean, this is Treasure after all); and since I previously owned none of them, this collection is super sweet! After popping it in I found out that this game is very import friendly (if you can play import PS2 games that is) because each game gives you the option of playing in either "Japan" mode or "OVERSEA" mode; which, as you can probably guess, are in English.
Kunio-Kun Nekketsu Collection 3 (GBA)
Which includes "Downtown Special - Kunio Kun no Jidaigeki Dayo Zenin Shuugou!" and "Ike Ike! Nekketsu Hockey"; both originally released on the Famicom. Kunio Kun no Jidaigeki is the sequel to what is known in the Americas as River City Ransom, and Street Gangs in Europe. Except the setting in this game is feudal era Japan; how awesome is that?. And Nekketsu Hockey is Ice Hockey with the Kunio Kun characters (remember Super Dodge Ball?).

I need to set up an import-playing PS2 (finally)gmsnpr
I used to do the whole swap-disc thing (on a PS1), but unfortunately that did not play all the games I imported as some discs had superior region locking code (Gaia Master was one of those). I didn't want to bother with system modding, and decided on buying a legit Japanese Playstation. I was lucky enough to get a Japanese PS2 off of ebay a few years back for just under $100; I think the auction title was mispelled or something. After checking the the model number on it, I determined it was a first run PS2, but it's been working beautifully; no issues at all.
This is my latest eBay pick up, and probably last for a while:
I now own basically ever game in the greatest RTS series ever created :).
Command & Conquer
Command & Conquer: The Covert Operations
Command & Conquer Red Alert
Command & Conquer Red Alert: The Aftermath
Command & Conquer Red Alert: Counterstrike
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun
Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun Firestorm
Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 Duplicate
Command & Conquer Yuri's Revenge Duplicate
Command & Conquer: Generals Duplicate
Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour Duplicate
CD & Instruction Manual for all but no original boxes, all for $39.75 (including shipping).
Covert Operations, Aftermath & Counterstrike don't have the jewel cases and are laying inside C&C and C&C RA, but they all work fine so I can live with that for now.
This now 98% completes my C&C collection. Only games I'm missing are Sole Survivor and the N64 C&C game. I'm not going to be hunting down Sole Survivor any time soon as I don't really include it in the series as it was ntohing new.
If anyone is looking for the games I have listed as duplicates I might be able to help you. I have a budy who has dibs on them if he don't have them yet.

Yes, this copy of Demon Stone even has the Atari stickers! :lol:usagi704I've seen that one around and just figured that it was crap. It seems rather interesting now that I've bothered to look it up. Free stickers are always great too! My Fairchild Channel F arrived exactly as described and in fine working order! The Kool-Aid Man put it best when he said "Oh yeaaaaaaaahhhhh!"

That is part of the reason I went looking for the older games, and of course the fact that a true C&C fan like myself must have the whole set. I'll be dishing out $120 bucks on C&C 3 when it is released, buying a friend his own copy for his birthday.
