Kane Lives! Got my copy of Command and Conquer 3 today!duncanr2nyay!
good stuff, although maybe overpaid on MLF... I can get it for 4.99 new almost everywhere round here...I was up in Tallahassee last week on a business trip. While I was there I acquired some pretty great games:
Electronics Boutique
new $4.99 (PS2) Fantavision
used $7.99 (PS2) Castle Shikigami 2
used $12.99 (PS2) Ghosthunter
used $12.99 (NDS) Deep LabyrinthGameStop
used $5.99 (PS2) Dragonball Z Budokai 2
used $7.99 (GBA) Ninja Five-OCircuit City
new $2.96 (PS2) Space Channel 5 Special EditionLocal used CD Store
used $1.99 (PS2) Oni
used $4.99 (PS2) Intellivision Lives!Games 4 Less
new $9.99 (PS1) Mobile Light Force
new $9.99 (GBA) Car Battler JoeAll used games are complete (and in excellent condition) except for Ninja Five-O, which was cart only. Despite that fact, I'm still super happy I got it, because I've been playing the game, and I must say it is awesome. Think NES Bionic Commando meets Shinobi. Plus, I checked what the game is going for used on Amazon and EBay, and to me, nine bucks doesn't seem so bad for cart only on this one. Seriously, the game rocks.
Plus, when I got home, I had a shipment of Playstation 1 imports waiting for me:
Nitoushinden - Battle Arena Toshinden with super deformed characters. Has a GS score of 2.7; it will be the lowest scored game in my collection once I add it. Woo hoo.
Merriment Carrying Caravan - Oregon Trail meets JRPG.
Yukyu Gensoukyoku 3 Perpetual Blue - Anime heavy title which GameFAQs lists as "Strategy > Breeding/Constructing". OK.
Carom Shot The 3D Billiards - Billiards game with a story mode.
Jet De Go - Commercial Jet plane flight simulation over Japan.
Hold on the Season - Video Adventure; like a choose-your-own-adventure anime. I love these kind of games!
Eisei Meijin - Shogi A.K.A. Japanese Chess. All those games are PS1 and the total cost, including shipping, came to $34.51, or roughly $4.93 per game.

Picked up Splinter Cell for $5 and Pandora Tomorrow for $2.50 @ Block Buster, decent cond., manual and original case/artwork. I hated the first 5 minutes of SC, but at $5, I can't complain, and I need something to play until Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders arrives (and I can legitimately put it in my collection).Apathetic_Pricknice. [QUOTE="CodingGenius"]Amazing pickups, inky. I got Glover (PS) - CIB, mint disc, $8 Not a great deal, but a game I've meant to play for a while. glover is very fun.
Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders finally came in. Disc is in excellent condition, but the box is a generic black one and there's no manual. Good thing I've already played the game because I'd be pissed otherwise. This game is hard enough on its own :PApathetic_Pricksooooo... yay?
I forgot to mention this in my last post, but when I was at Games4Less (a really awesome used game store) I overheard one of the employees talking about their GS and IGN collections; I mentioned being in the CCU, and he said that he had joined the union not too long ago. I asked what his GS username was, but for the life of me I can't remember it now! Oh well... if he sees this, perhaps he will be inclined to say 'hi'.
Awesome. You get the street-cred award of the day. I ordered my first three items from play-asia today, is that hwere the imports are from? aspro73
No, the imports were off of ebay. So what did you get from Play-Asia? Or are you keeping it a secret until they arrive? (I'm guessing some Bit-Generation titles are in there.)
Neat stuff, particularly Castle Shikigami 2 and Mobile Light Force.gmsnpr
I found Mobile Light Force 2 new at Circuit City about a month ago or so, so finding these other two in such a short time span was pretty cool. :)
good stuff, although maybe overpaid on MLF... I can get it for 4.99 new almost everywhere round here... waflerevolution
Hmm.. Mayhaps I did, but I don't recall ever seeing it before in Tally or where I live now. Oh well, at least it wasn't a rediculous overpayment.
Not bad prices, and getting free stuff is usually great.[QUOTE="GAMECAMILLER"]

A few posts ago I said that if I found a store that sold PS1 and Dreamcast games I would buy every single non-sports title that I did not already own.
Well, today, through a series of flukes (three random things occurred to get me in front of this store) I was able to do just that.
Too many to list, so I will post a photo when I get home, but the totals were: (All games are complete, used).
56 PS1 games @ $3.75 each
9 N64 games @ $3.75 each
22 Dreamcast games @ $5.95 each
13 Saturn games @ $2.95 each
14 Genesis games @ $3.49 each.
Thats 114 games for $497.65 with tax included.

Okay. #1 Well I had a sore tooth, so I got an emergency appointment with my dentist who works about 20 miles from my office. I get there and after talking a while #2 I mention I have a newly diagnosed heart condition called MVP. He stops everything and says I need to take some anitbiotics before he does anything, because there is a chance that with the condition I have if something goes wrong it goes really wrong (I die), so he calls in an order to the pharmacy. I drive there, get the stuff but I have to wait an hour before I can go back to the dentist. #3 This lady cuts me off in the parking lot so I have to turn all the way around and exit a different way and there in front of me is a store I have not seen before called Game Square (they have 2 offices). Since I have an hour to kill I go in, and lo and behold they are clearing out all of their old games. Voila.
I'm sorry to hear about your tooth aspro... and I'm very sorry to hear about your heart condition. I didn't intend to pry. inkwolf
Oh it's no big deal at all, very trivial stuff, I'm actually very healthy. Okay here are the shots, click to enlarge. I kept them very big for those of you who are curious as to what was included.
Very nice indeed aspro! I wish I was there too, so I could get some good deals as well.
Nobunaga's Ambition - I like that series alot.
Mr. Domino - sweet. ^_^
Blaster Master 2 - Just checked that out on mobygames and it looks awesome! I didn't even know that existed!
Silent Hill, PS1, mint, complete, $5.99usagi704holey crap! nice job, I've never seen it that low...
*many pics*aspro73I am truly impressed. I never expected to see so many games in decent condition in one place that wasn't spicifically selling that type of thing... some rares, some greats amnd some imports... I guess that leaves these questions and comments... are you keeping all of them? none were doubbles? have you tested them for working-ness? I didn't know you did imports... I'd like to know how long it takes you to add to your collection.

Am I keeping all of them? Yes
None were Doubles? Correct. I remember every game I have.
Have I tested them? No, but in looking at the discs I am yet to find any that have not been in less than great condition.
Imports? I have only recently bought stuff from Japan on Ebay, and this week from Play-Asia.
How long to add to collection? 3 and a half hours. (I stopped to read up on most of them and check rarity. All but one was in the gamespot database. The rarest was renegade racers with 6 users).
Well, it was a long morning, so I stopped for one more trip to EB Games to really snag in those N64 games from that 75% off game sale.
Here's what I got (17 games) and their prices:
N64:
Cruis'n World, $1.80
Biofreaks, $0.45
Glover, $1.05
Pokemon Stadium, $0.45
Turok 3, $1.50
WCW Vs. NWO: World Tour, $0.22
Quake, $0.75
Quake II, $0.75
Pokemon Stadium 2, $1.95
Cruis'n Erotica, $2.25
Star wars Rouge Squadron, $0.75
Duke Nukem: Zero Hour, $1.50
Conker's Bad Fur Day, $2.70
Tonic Trouble, $1.20
All the N64 games were cart only, but in excellent shape with no marks at all.
PSone:
Broken Helix, Disk only, $0.45
FIFA Soccer 2001, Complete, Excellent condition, $1.50
Knockout Kings 2000, Complete, $0.75
Another cleanup day :p the store is actually selling all the n64 and psone games for the stores in the region so they will be getting games for a LONG while.

So do they keep putting out different stock every day? You'd think by now they'd just hold the stuff for you personally, or at least give you your own parking spot. Nice pick-ups, particularly the N64 stuff.

hanks :) They put new n64 and psone games out every week, helps them keep track of the stuff. A lot of the newer ones (the after 4 people, kids mostly) have been stealing lately, so they keep track of the stuff better by not putting too much out every week (even though there is a lot out lately. I think it was last week when I gave Lisa (one of the morning people who work there) a couple of empty cases frm the PSone games section - apparently the games were stolen. Thieves suck. :/ The people I deal with, our usually the people in the mornings who are the "vets" there and are pretty nice people. They don't give me the Gamestop "jib jab, or try to get me to preorder stuff, which I like. :P The people who are the vets there run the EB Games store like it should be run, and their prices are pretty darn reasonable. And they know what I like and buy. :P Hell, I'm there every week it seems.Even though they didn't give me my own parking spot, at least they always give me heads up on when good stuff is coming in, and keep me noted on what's on sale and stuff. Pretty good people.
Right now, since I seem to getting a lot of n64 titles i'm kinda focused on looking out for a few tiles:
Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Super Smash Bros, Starcraft 64, Banjo Kazooie and a few others. Some carts on my list I've seen there but are not good quality copies (I'm picky on my condition for N64 games) Since My recent purchases, my list for n64 games has tighten up a bit snd gotton smaller.

It takes time when you put games into your collection database. I always stop and read...:P Hence why it takes more time xDI actually have a pretty good memory too in reference to all games in my collection. If it's every a double for me, it's because of a group deal or because I bought it on purpose.
To GAMECAMILLER (for some reason this won't let me quote right now...)
Nice haul, but...Cruis'n Erotica?
I'm flying off to Virginia tomorrow so this is definitely it for a while. I also heard some interesting things from the manager at EB. I can't verify the validity of his claims, but he seemed to be a straight shooter.
1. He claimed that over half of their PS2 stock was discontinued and that most of those games won't be seen again once their supply in storage is gone.
2. The 20gb PS3 has been quietly discontinued. That would explain why I have never seen one while the 60gb models are always in stock.
3. Expect a $100 price drop on the 60gb PS3 and a 80gb model to be introduced later this year for $600.
Now here's the final damage.

Lunar Knights - DS
Ghosthunter - PS2

[QUOTE="clubhaxor"]Man I wish I had good Used stores like that in my town. I will go to one tomoro, (they are open on Sundays now I think) but their old games are still ridiculously priced. I want to get a SNES :D -_-Nintendo-_-Ebay you could probably get a used CIB SNES for about 30-50 bucks. So you don't even have one Cash Converters? Those are like a virus, they are everywhere :P
Yeah we have a Cash Converters but it's not open tomorrow. I am going to an Aussie Cash Back but damn they are expensive $30 for N64 games?...no thanks
