Vanguard Bandits. Sealed. Super Mint condition.$30. I'm tempted to flip the sucker on ebay, but I couldn't resist buying it.
Also purchased Condemned 360 $30, Phoenix Wright:AA, American Idol $12, RLH $7, Sega Genesis Collection, Godfather (PC) $10, Castlevania:PoR (which rocks, btw) . Nice week for stuff, glad I received my bonus (FINALLY).
Anyone buy Devil Summoner and know if it's any good? Those maze like levels in DDS drove me up a wall. Loved SMT:N though, but I never have time to really play it between work and life. I'm waiting for a price drop, but might just pick it up with the pain in the neck those SMT games become to find. Debating between that one and Radiata Stories. I want an Rpg that's fairly short.
The people at gamestop think I'm crazy too. They were trying to sell me a halo 3 preorder. Then I bought a bunch of games they never heard of. Then they tried selling me a halo 3 preorder again.
Nice. I haven't seen a sealed VB, that's a sweet find.Vanguard Bandits. Sealed. Super Mint condition.$30. I'm tempted to flip the sucker on ebay, but I couldn't resist buying it.

They even had...some weird Sega 32X-like expansion thing that adds another cartridge slot and two more controllers. The guy showing it to me said he had no idea what it does. Can anyone here shed light on what it does? Maybe I'll check Wikipedia while I'm at it.gakon5Is this it? It lets you play VCS games on your Colecovision.
Smash TV - NES - Cart only - $1.95I actually expected it to be garbage, considering it's a dual-joystick shooter, but they handle that pretty creatively. You can actually play the game with two NES controllers, one in each hand. You hold them with the D-Pads facing up, and then it functions like the arcade game; one 'Pad moves, the other shoots.gakon5
Thats awesome - I'd buy that game if I came across it. I rented it back in the day and I remember dual wielding the controllers to play it. Kinda like a forshadowing of the Wii Remote and nunchucku. :P
I only remember playing it with one controller :|Apathetic_Prick
A_P, you must be thinking of the SNES version. Which was certainly much better. I rented that one too, once I got a SNES. :)
Today I checked out a local used game store for the first time. They had used games of all sorts going back to Atari and Colecovision, but unless it was XBox, PS2, or GC it was in short supply. Nothing really piqued my intrest too much, and I was about to leave empty handed until I saw a single Steambot Chronicles Demo Disc. The guy said I was free to take it, and I know it's just a demo disc and all, but I figured I should at least drop some cash there if I was gonna walk off with something, so I bought Code Name: Viper (NES) - cart only - for $5.
Then I drove down to a K-Mart and got Trace Memory (DS) and Sigma Star Saga (GBA). On the way back home I noticed that SSS didn't actually ring up for whatever reason, so it was free! (It had been discounted down to $14, which is what I would have paid if their scanner was working properly.)
[QUOTE="gakon5"]I can't find MK for the Genesis in the GS database. Need to get that added or something so I can have it in my collection.gmsnprIt's here. I'm not sure why it doesn't come up reliably in a search.
If something truely is missing you can add it here.

No, when I first played Smash TV on the NES, I was using the A button to shoot
I have the SNES version, actually, although the Midway Arcade Classics Vol. 1 version is by far the better, as arcade versions tend to be :P
Went to Fry's. They have LaPucelle Tactics selling for $12.88 which is a GD-shame -- lots of other great deals too, but just a few that I did not already have and still wanted.
Virtua Tennis - PSP $9.99
NARC - XB $4.90 (Finally hit my price point)
Cold Fear - XB $4.49
PREY - $29.99

Hmmm..... I wonder if there are different control configurations.

That's for sure. :P
[QUOTE="pikadeth"]Nice, those are excellent games.I concur. It took me a while to convince myself to drop $95 on Suikoden II, and I got off easy compared to what it sometimes brings on eBay. Getting it at the cost of doubles in hand is a smart move.I traded an extra Saturn and a bunch of old NES, Genesis, and Saturn (mostly NES) doubles that were collecting dust for Suikoden I and II.

stopped by Toys R Us on my way home to see if there was anything new on clearance. They seem to be getting rid of a lot of third party accesories.
They had a wireless PS2 arcade joystick by Intec for $10.
I picked up :
2 PSP game holders (third party) $3.90
1 battery for the PSP by Sony for $$7.00
Choro Q for PS2 for $4.98. I know its not a great game but I've wanted something from the series since it debuted in Japan way back when.
Aspro, you should check it out for your new PSP.

I picked up a couple of things today, one from being influenced by the "Brand New Buried Treasure" thread.excellent work! I would really love to get my hands on that duplicate RoR. it's funny, I've never seen any new or used in good condition... I wonder why... I wasn't about to pay 30 bucks for em...I also picked up a copy of the February '07 OXM, which has The Shivering Isles as the cover story and a demo disc that has free installs of a couple of the Oblivion quests that I've already paid for, darn it.
- Air Buster, GEN, v. fine cart, fine manual, no box, $4.95
- JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, DC, v. fine manual, rest mint, complete, $16.95 (duplicate)

nice buy on CQ, I love that game, check out my review for it if you get some time. I'm pretty sure that the guy that made the movie "Cars" got the idea from the Choro series (BTW, Penny Racers on N64 is part of the Choro Q series)stopped by Toys R Us on my way home to see if there was anything new on clearance. Thats what Ive heard. I almost bought it new at full MSRP back when it came out, but other things kept popping up and the western theme kinda puts me off (even though I am quite sure Ill get over it when I get into the game). But I decided for $10 new it was a no-brainer.
WarioWare: Smooth Moves.bretthorror
I went to pick up a copy but they said they were stock taking and i couldn't get it untill 3 days after the release :( Is it any good?
$8 AUS. I already have a copy but it was too good to pass up.

I don't know if anyone remembers me posting about contemplating about picking up Ten Pin Alley for $14.99 a while back, but it's a good thing I held off as they finally threw it in the clearance bin.
This is going to sound odd, but I've been looking for a good bowling game lately. Let us know what you think about Ten Pin.CodingGenius
CG, the best bowling game I have payed is Brunswick Circuit Pro Bowling. It came out for the PS1 and N64, I like the PS1 version as it includes some pretty hokey video of real pro bowlers laying the smack down.
Wii sports bowling is good if you like to bowl in real-life as you can go through all the same movements (including putting spin on the ball).
There is an XBOX bowling game that I have, but it is not as faithful to the sport. (no tongue in cheek, I actually have my own ball and shoes for real-life bowling).
