This is going to sound odd, but I've been looking for a good bowling game lately. Let us know what you think about Ten Pin.CodingGenius

It is a great game in my honest opinion, I had or rented the game when it was new. Now the rest of this is based off of memory considering I've not had a chance to play it since I picked it up: Easy controls and game play with hilarious sound affects if you do the right thing.

Ah yes, I forgot that I even had that one.  I've played it from time to time, and it is pretty good.  Lacks the atmosphere of the Brunswick game.

Thanks for the heads up Topps.  I'll go there today and see if I can find any XB games I don't have.  I have bought so many of them in the last month I'm going to take a list to make sure I don't dupe up.

I've been saving up some cash, so I decided to get some shopping done today.

So anyway, after getting off of work, I looked through the $14.88 bargain bin of games (been looking through every day to see if anything catches my eye) and picked up two GBA games.

Tron 2.0 Killer App (GBA) $14.88
Battle B-Daman (GBA) $14.88

With 10 percent discount card (got $1.49 off) total: $29.69

Both new, Tron 2.0 was a surprise goodie, since it's a much older GBA game and the fact that the gamebox is in excellent shape. Battle B-Daman looks cool for some nice robot battling action.

After getting some food shopping done and other things, I went to EB Games to use my extra ten percent off coupon.

I got (with the 20 percent off):

Rumble Roses XX (360) for $16.00 used, great condition.
Arcade Unplugged (360) for $22.23 used, practically in brand new condition.
The Outfit (360) for $16.00 used, great condition.
Chromehounds (360) for $22.23 used, great condition.

and a Xbox 360 Remote for only $11.99. Sweet condition.

And a Vangaurd: Sage of Heroes Perorder disk for free (given to me for free, just cause...well they need to get rid of it. xD and no I didn't preorder the game)

Total: $92.87 and saved $10.96 off the whole thing. Lord knows how much I saved by buying these things used. The remote cost 30 bucks for new in stores alone.

So there ya go, more games for my collection. w00t :p

I saved a lot especially by buying Arcade Unplugged.

Figured this:
Bejeweled 2 $10.00
Geo Wars: $5.00
Wiki: $10.00
Texas hold'em: $5.00
Outpost: $10.00
backgammon: $5.00

Total to buy from Xbox live: $45. I paid $22.23 saving pretty much almost $23.
I already own Geo wars, but this is a worthwhile purchase anyway (for the savings alone and the fact it's on an actual disk.)

Tron on the GBA?  I didn't know.  Looked into it and I want this now.  Thanks GC. :)

I'm so glad they're publishing the XBL games on discs... if I ever get a 360 this is how I'll be getting these games as I'm not really keen on the whole digital distribution thing.  For demos and such its great, but as far as "patching" console games and microtransactions and the like I fear there is too much opportunity to abuse the customer.

Nice job GC!

No prob man. I like the digital Distribution thing, I mean there's a lot of excellent free content that can help expand the games (like free cars, levels, maps extra). But there's also room for abuse (case in point, the music downloads for Ridge Racer 6). As for actual games, I'd rather keep small games on digital distribution, while the bigger games should be kept on disks. (I don't want it to go they way PC gaming has gone, where very few games are on actual disks.)

I knew they made tron for GBA, but this was long apo. First time I've ever seen an actual copy. :)

On a side note, I'm totally in love with the remote. The way I have my Xbox 360, tv, and computer interconnected, this is the perfect tool to tie them all together via one remote. It makes things so much easier and quicker to access for video, Music, DVD, and content.

Went to EB to get some XB games, seemed to be the thing to do.
Evil Dead: A Fist Full of Broomstick $5.39
Outrun 2 Free!
PSI-Ops: The Mind Gamegame Conpiracy $5.39
Red Ninja: End of Honor $7.19
Raze's Hell Free!
Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball $11.69 (I now own a game I am ashamed of, but it seemed like an XB collection would not be complete without a DOA entry).

Also got:
Tales of Legendia for the PS2 for $22.49

This now makes the XB my dominant system once again with 114 games. (PS2 has 110).

Hey, I wouldn't mind owning a copy of DOA:XBV, and I really want Psi-Ops.  Unfortunately for me, I have to drive 45 miles to find my nearest EB...sigh.

Man, living 45 miles from an EB?  That sounds like a great way to control impulse buying.  So do you have to fill up your entire covered wagon when you travel that far or do you just take the horse?  :)

Good job on DoAX. It may be cheesy, but it's an exclusive that the console is known for.

Just me and my old, sway-backed donkey named Clyde.  Sometimes we don't get very far before he decides he doesn't want to go anymore.

MAT1 is definitely worth it.  Interesting choice with Arena Football, I imagine that's hard to find. (?)

I also was surprised to see Sneak King in there for $8...  I wonder what they paid the dude who brought it in.

It's great that there are two new consoles out, so game stores have to empty shelves to make room. There were also some tempting used 360 games there (ie Table Tennis - $24.99). But they were trying to charge EIGHT DOLLARS for used copies of the Burger King games.

Yup, Eb Games and Gamespot are already raising the burger king games to 8 bucks.

Which most likely means they're going to have a whole bunch of BK games sitting around for awhile.

Just spent part of my lunch break at one of the local GameStops and picked up the following used games:
XBox:
Still Life - disc only - $11.69
The Warriors - complete - $8.09
PSI-Ops - complete - FREE
PS2:
God of War - disc/case - $16.19
Total: $38.85

I just really want to replay GoW, and haven't had it since I traded it in for $35. ;) I'll pick up a mint copy later, when they get down to less than $10.

Sorry I missed this post initially, but the $8 for BK caught my attention. Rampart is still great, even emulated. Root Beer Tapper is a GREAT game. I had Tapper on the Colecovision many years ago, and it was so much fun!

Just spent part of my lunch break at one of the local GameStops and picked up the following used games:
XBox:
Still Life - disc only - $11.69
The Warriors - complete - $8.09
PSI-Ops - complete - FREE
PS2:
God of War - disc/case - $16.19
Total: $38.85

I just really want to replay GoW, and haven't had it since I traded it in for $35. ;) I'll pick up a mint copy later, when they get down to less than $10.

I just really want to replay [God of War]CodingGenius

I don't know why, but despite all the positive buzz about this game, I never had any interest in it at all.  I think perhaps I just can't relate to the main character enough.

BUT ... after watching Brian Ekberg fight against the Colossus of Rhodes in the GoW2 demo, I am now completely sold on wanting to buy the sequel.  That just looked way awesome.  And I just can't bring myself to buy a sequel without having the original (if it's so cheap and readily available everywhere), so I guess I have to go buy God of War now.  :P

I was into the original because of...Linda Hunt. The woman who narrates it. I figured if she attached herself to it, it must be good. Stupid reason, but after picking it up I had never enjoyed such a visceral experience!

I'd strongly encourage you to get it.  I am not a fan of the action genre, but this game surpasses typical categorization.  I'd put it in the top 5 games of the last generation easily.

I like her voice also.  She played the school principal in Kindergarten Cop, if memory serves.

I finally made it to a Gamestop and took advantage of the B2G1 sale on Xbox stuff.  I picked up:

  1. Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, n. mint, complete, $16.20
  2. Samurai Shodown V, n. mint, complete, $16.20
  3. Warpath, n. mint, complete, Free (was $12.99)
  4. The LE strat guide for Gears of War on 360, new for $20
There were two copies of MvC 2 on Xbox at the store, but one was disc-only and the other had a damaged insert and no manual, so I passed.

[QUOTE="jollyroger78"][QUOTE="GAMECAMILLER"][QUOTE="gakon5"]Was at EB, and they had a Buy 2 Get 1 Free going, so I had to buy some games. Midway Arcade Treasures 1 - Xbox - Complete - $9.99 Arena Football - Xbox - Complete - $7.99 Rainbow Six: Lockdown - Xbox - Complete - Free ($4.99 normal price) The list on the back of MAT1 seemed good enough to warrant a purchase. Even if the games aren't perfect ports, that's fine with me. Heck, I just want to play Rampart, Smash TV, and Robotron. And I want to know once and for all what the heck Root Beer Tapper is.

Maybe their intent isn't to sell them, rather let them sit and wait.

Oh and I was at work last night, searching through the magazines near the microwave in the backroom and came across this month's edition of Game Informer. Rick (an unloader) brought it in a while back a couple of weeks ago, and never took it back home. It might have been damaged on the cover, but deep inside is a extra ten percent off coupon on anything used in the store. So, I ripped the page out. So, I'll get 20 percent off 5 things again later this week. :p

Ideas a-brewing already on what to get. :P

I got my copies of Vagrant Story and Jade cocoon for the PS1 today in the mail. Both discs are scratched beyond readability :S When I try to make an image of both discs one gets to 45% and the other gets to 88%. So it looks like I will have to get them resurfaced :(
