Jaws Unleashed (PS2) -- complete - $14

Not a great game, but I have a friend who really likes sharks, and I wanted to try playing as a shark (even if the play control is weak).

In the mail today, I received my replacement instruction manual for RaveMaster on the Gamecube.  Konami had several left, fortunately, and it cost $7 USD via money order.  Now my copy of that game is complete.  Yay!  Having semi-modern to modern games (Saturn and up) without the manuals or maps irritates me.  I'm still looking for the map to complete my copy of Alundra...

I got my copies of Vagrant Story and Jade cocoon for the PS1 today in the mail.  Both discs are scratched beyond readability :S
When I try to make an image of both discs one gets to 45% and the other gets to 88%.  So it looks like I will have to get them resurfaced :(-_-Nintendo-_-

I'd strongly encourage you to get [God of War].  I am not a fan of the action genre, but this game surpasses typical categorization.  I'd put it in the top 5 games of the last generation easily.

aspro73

Done!  I also picked up Cooking Mama.

there is NO WAY I'll ever play God oW again soleybecause of the getting out of hades level.

waflerevolution

I think I know exactly what you're talking about.  I've played games that I absolutely love, but there may be one level that is so tedious, difficult, borring, or otherwise unpalatable that it keeps me from wanting to replay the game all the way though.

ya, the game is great but that level has a few tough parts then 1 INCREADAABLE HARD part that I had to try over 100 times... (getting up the turning blades)

Nice.  I paid $35 for mine, but that was about a month after it debuted.  Fun game.

Oh, I know I do! I played it quite often at my cousin's house as a kid. I copied my other cousin and got a Genesis at that age, so I missed out on SNES stuff. Never got a SNES until it was going out, and even then it was mostly for Mario All-Stars because my NES systems all had the blinking light problem and they were getting hard to find.

No big deal, though. Not like the Genesis was short on good games.

I think that's a UPS thing, so the driver can call if they are unable to find the address.

Yeah, and the dollar amount is so he can see what packages are worth stealing. Home phone numbers are commonly on express shipments, they do help dispatch when there is a bad address.

I'm cutting NIS some slack anyway, cause based on the whole ordering process this seesm to have been something they are experimenting with. I hope I get my copy today, they are just down the street from me.

I have popped in the sequel for a few minutes.  It's virtually the same gameplay, and it's good-looking as well.  I didn't play it for too long, b/c I wanted to finish the first one first.  The sequel being on the PS2 isn't that odd, since KOEI has published a lot on that system.  I thought it was more unusual that the first one was published on the Xbox.  It was an early release on the Xbox, the first from KOEI, which is why it appealed to me initially.  I like games from KOEI that don't start with the word, "Dynasty."

There are some good finds in there.  I don't know about Starwing, but the only game that is not fun in there is Last Action Hero.

I was interested in those, but they seemed stealth heavy... [Strongly dislikes stealth game play]

I really dislike stealth game play, too. I found that the first Sly had only very sporadic stealth moments (from what I remember). It was more of a platformer. The second one requires more in depth stealth, which is probably why I have never finished it.

I'll admit it...I want it too.  Alas, I can't find it here in the land of boredom.

Quality pick-ups right there.  Dig how much that control pad is like a Dreamcast one.  Also, the liked The Bouncer a lot, I was not expecting much at all becuase it was mostly disliked, but for $7 you certainly get your value.

Yes, it is a lot like the DC pad, but I feel this one is far better. Sega made some of the best controllers ever for the Saturn!
