.:: F1PU Winter Simulated Season - 2008/09 ::.

Hey guys, and welcome to the first part of the Winter season here for the F1PU, giving you guys plenty of features to keep you going until March next year when Australia kicks us back into action - only 142 days to go!

As many of you will be aware of by now, the Simulated Season is a game for fun based on the video game of "F1 2006" for the PlayStation 2. TannerRules, our host, will run the races in which the stars of 2006 will compete for the title - and this is where you guys come in.

TR will randomise the 22 drivers in the 2006 Championship - and they are listed below. However, only TR knows where each driver is placed - to pick your driver, simply post a number between 1 and 22 - and the TR will let you know who you've selected. This way, it is completely fair as to who gets chosen.

The races themselves will be run at half distance, and weather conditions set to variable (just to add another factor into it). The grid for the first race in Bahrain will be the reverse of the 2006 Constructor Standings, therefore Super Aguri will be at the front of the grid and Renault will be at the back. After this, the grid will be the reverse order of the previous race's results. I.E. if Sato was to retire first in Bahrain, he would be on pole for Malaysia, and if Alonso won Bahrain he would be last for Malaysia.

Yep. Got 7th in his debut race and fastest lap, took 3rd on the grid in Malaysia... and then was terrible for the rest of the season with horrid rookie mistakes.

Current test driver for BMW, was in Jaguar/Red Bull race seat from 2004-2006. One of my favourite non-British drivers.

Also just to add, just to keep things rolling - If the remaining spaces don't get filled up by Monday, those with the lowest-ranked drivers will be given another pick. I'll name those who get a second pick at the end of Monday.

Yeah, just choose another number. That number, along with Klien, will be your two drivers.

Based on the 2006 season, the top teams start at the back of the grid in Bahrain. After that, the grid is the reverse order of the previous race's results.
