I wish china was the last race there is also Japan and Brazil to run.

Conditions: Dry
Lap 1 - After a short break we are racing again. Into the tight turn 1 it's Alonso, from M.Schumacher from Button. At the other end of the Field Both McLaren's have got off to a good start and have picked up a couple of places. Coming into the tight hairpin at the end of the long back straight Button and Fisichella tussle but there is no change in the order. More drama at the back of the field as the charging McLaren of Montoya collides with Albers taking the back to back winner out of this race.
Lap 2 - M.Schumacher has a look down the inside of Alonso into turn 14 but the Spaniard firmly closes the door on his rival who then proceeds to run wide in turn 15
Lap 3 - Top 8 - Alonso, M.Schumacher, Button, Fisichella, Trulli, Liuzzi, Coulthard, and Villenuve.
Raikkonen gets past 15th place man Sato just in the nick of time, any longer and Massa would have been alongside. Elsewhere on track Coulthard passes Liuzzi for 6th place
Lap 4 - Barrichello is unto 7th after dispatching both Villenuve and Liuzzi on that lap
Lap 5 - Massa passes R.Schumacher into the hairpin at 14 and so is now 14th
Lap 6 - Massa is really on the move now and passes the sole remaining McLaren of Raikkonen into turn 14 which is proving a popular place to overtake today
Lap 7 - Heifeld, Massa and Raikkonen are squabbling down into turn 14 with Raikkonen passing both of them and Heifeld losing 2 places in one corner. Behind then Webber pulls of the same move on Speed for 16th.
Lap 8 - The Raikkonen-Massa train has now caught 11th place man Rosberg who, like his fellow countryman Heifeld, losses 2 places into the Hairpin at the end of the back straight, next up Villenuve.
Lap 9 - M.Schumacher is crawling all over the back of Alonso's Renault but he can't seem to find a way through. Yet again the Raikkonen-Massa-Turn 14 combination works with Villenuve being picked off by the pair.
Lap 10 - After failing to catch 9th place man Klien Massa decides to have a go at Raikkonen into his favoured turn 14 and makes the move stick with some excellent late breaking.
Lap 11 - Massa is now all over the back of Klien as the start the long back straight but Raikkonen has got some work to do if he wants to keep in touch with Massa who gets his man before the end of the straight.
At the front a potentially pivotal moment in the championship as Fisichella does a Massa on Button and is up to 3rd just behind his closest championship rival
Lap 12 - Trulli is the first man in the pits and is in from p5, and is back out in 14th. Barrichello and Coulthard battle into, you guessed it, turn 14 with Coulthard the victor this time
Lap 13 - Fisichella pits from 3rd and Button is also pitting, they come out either side of Raikkonen in 6th and 8th place respectively
Lap 14 - Full rundown- Alonso, M.Schumacher, Barrichello, Coulthard, Massa, Fisichella, Raikkonen, Button, Villenuve, R.Schumacher, Trulli, Webber, Speed, Sato, Klien, Liuzzi, Monterio, Rosberg, Heifeld, Ide and Albers.
Lap 16 - M.Schumacher pits from 2nd and comes out 4th just ahead of Fisichella.
Lap 17 - Alonso is in from the lead along with Barrichello and Coulthard. Alonso comes back out comfortably in the lead and looks like he's going to take home the win today.
Lap 18 - top 8 - Alonso, M.Schumacher, Fisichella, Button, Barrichello, Trulli, Coulthard and Massa.
Lap 19 - Massa is catching Coulthard But apart from that everything has gone a bit processional with the field nicely spread out.
Lap 20 - Our first Mechanical retirement of the day as Montero's engine packs up on the start/finish straight
Lap 22 - Massa catches up with Coulthard and fancies a look at the man in 7th, no doubt turn 14 will be the place he does the deed, and yes that is indeed the case as he does Coulthard round the outside as the Red bull driver tries to defend the inside line.
Lap 24 - Massa has now caught Trulli in 5th and so all over his gearbox. Massa gets him halfway down the straight using the slipstream to good effect
Lap 25 - The Stig M.Schumacher is now starting to catch Alonso but it is probably too little too late
Lap 28 - A lights to flag victory for Alonso who Lead every lap, but more importantly M.Schumacher only took 2 points out of Fisichella's championship lead with only 2 races remaining.

Conditions - Dry
Lap 1 - We are off here in Suzuka and Montoya has got off to a good start from pole and has already pulled out a lead over the rest of the field after the first few corners. At the back of the field there is an incident Button's BAR and would you believe it FISICHELLAthe championship leader who's Renault has lost its front suspension in that accident and is out of the race. Meanwhile Button is left limping around with a puncture.
Top 8 - Montoya, Monterio, Albers, Rosberg, Ide, Speed, Sato and Liuzzi.
Lap 2 - SCHUMACHERis out, repeat Michael Schumacher is out meaning both of the main Championship contenders are now out. In an incident not to dissimilar to that of Fisichella M.Schumacher ploughs into the back of Coulthards' Red-bull taking out his front suspension. Alonso also got caught up in that incident meaning both he and Coulthard are Left struggling with punctures to one of their rear tyres. The incident occurred as a result of R.Schumacher running wide and then returning to the circuit slower than everyone else forcing them to take avoiding action.
Now Villenuve retires with an engine failure, at this rate no one is going to finish the race.
Lap 3 - Montoya has caught the recovering pair of Alonso and Coulthard and loses a bit of time but he has such a lead already it makes very little difference. Behind him Liuzzi has dropped down to 13th after making a mistake and going of the circuit. Now Raikkonen is out after colliding with the Red-bull of Klien on the run out of Spoon curve. Klien joins the growing list of drivers with punctures and begins that long battle to get beck to the pits.
Lap 5 - Heifeld has passed Sato for 7th and who now has Massa on his tail as a result of the Ferrari driver having an excellent start. Sato eventually concedes the place on the way into 130R.
Lap 6 - Top 8 - Montoya, Monterio, Rosberg, Albers, Ide, Speed, Heifeld and Massa. Massa is really on a charge after dispatching Heifeld in the infield section he then passes Speed in exactly the same way he passed Sato on the previous lap.
Lap 7 - Heifeld has a look a Speed but can't seem to find away past yet. Behind them on the track Sato has now dropped down to 11th behind Barrichello. Massa seems to have the same thing going on at 130R as he did at turn 14 in China as he yet again passes someone on the inside in the lefthander near the end of the lap. This time its 5th place man Ide. Heifeld has also passed Speed in the same way behind them.
Lap 8 - After a good couple of opening laps Monterio loses out to Rosbergs Williams and hands over 2nd place and is starting to really fall back. His teammate Albers then loses out to Massa in, you guessed it, 130R Massa seems to have so much more Speed than anyone else through there. Behind them Heifeld is also on the move and gets passed Ide for 6th/
Lap 9 - Trulli runs wide in the same place as his teammate did on lap 2 and loses a couple of places as a result.
Lap 10 - Monterio is the First to pit as he comes in from 3rd along with Massa. They come back out in 13th and 14th. Right at the back Renault's day goes from bad to worse as Alonso's rear wing falls of forcing him to retire.
Lap 11 - Heifeld gets past Albers and is now running 3rd.
Lap 12 - Rosberg pits from 2nd as Massa eventually finds a way past Albers after selling him a dummy and moves up to 13th. Rosberg comes out in 6th.
Lap 13 - Barrichello and Albers are fighting over 3rd as Webber starts to take advantage of the situation and begins to catch the pair of them.
Lap 14 - Barrichello copies his fellow Brazilians trick and passes Albers in the 130R and Webber follows suit in the following corner.
Lap 15 - Barrichello pits from 3rd and comes back out 10th.
Full run down - Montoya, Heifeld, Webber, Albers, Rosberg, Liuzzi, Trulli, Massa, Sato, Barrichello, Monterio, Ide, R.Schumacher, Speed, Klien, Button and Coulthard.
Lap 16 - Webber pits from 3rd and gets back out behind Barrichello and is now 11th.
Lap 17 - Montoya pits from the lead and comes back out in the lead such is the advantage he has over Heifeld who then pits from 2nd and ands up in 5th behind Massa.
Lap 18 - Albers pits from 2nd releasing the Rosberg - Massa battle before Heifeld could catch out. Albers in out in 8th just behind his teammate and at this rate Midlands are on for 2 points finishers.
Lap 19 - It looks like I spoke to soon as the Toyota engine in Monterio's engine blows up promoting Trulli in to a points paying position.
Top 8 - Montoya, Rosberg, Massa, Heifeld, Barrichello, Webber, Albers and Trulli.
Lap 21 - Trulli makes a big mistake and drops 3 places which gives Albers some much needed space. At the front Massa finally makes a move stick on Rosberg but has a lot of work to do if he wants to catch the leader Montoya.
Lap 23 - The lapped car of Button eventually calls it a day when an engine failure brings to an end a miserable day. Trulli passes his Teammate for 10th in a daring move into turn 1.
Lap 24 - Sato joins the ranks of non finishers with an engine blow out.
Lap 25 - R.Schumacher gets back passed his teammate as the Toyota drivers battle it out for P10.
Lap 26 - Barrichello pass Heifeld into the final Chicane and finds himself 4th
Lap 27 - Montoya crosses the line in First after a dominant performance that makes it 3 out of 4 and puts him right back into the Championship, especially given that neither Fisichella or M.Schumacher failed to finish today and so with one race left it's all to play for in Brazil.

Lap 1 - This is it, the final race of the season. 5 men are still in the Running for the championship with 2 of them on the front row and the other 3 all the way down the other end of the field in 19th, 21st and 22nd. At the end of 36 laps we will have a Champion.
For the final time we are off and it's Fisichella from M.Schumacher coming out of turn 1. At the back Massa and Barrichello have both got passed Villenuve and are now in 17th and 18th with Montoya still in 22nd.
Drama for one of the championship contenders as Barrichello collides with the back of Liuzzi leaving the Brazilian needing to pit for a new front wing, and probably putting an end to his slim championship hopes.
Lap 2 - Top 8 - Fisichella, M.Schumacher, Raikkonen, Villenuve, Alonso, Coulthard, Button and Monterio.
Speed, Massa and Ide are side by side going down the back straight with Ide losing 2 places as they enter the next corner. At the front Alonso gets passed Villenuve for 4th and behind them Button passes Coulthard for 6th.
Lap 3 - Monterio loses out to both Klien and Trulli into turn 1 and he is now down in 10th place after lining up on the grid in 6th. Lower down the order Massa passes Liuzzi Albers and is up to 11th. A few places back the unluckiest man in F1 has yet another problem, this time it's the engine in Webbers car that gives way meaning that he will not be going any further in this race.
Lap 4 - Button makes a move down into the Senna S and gets passed 5th place man Villenuve. A couple of seconds later R.Schumacher and Massa do exactly the same thing but to Monterio which drops the Midlands driver down to 12th.
Lap 6 - Montoya has passed Rosberg and the joint Championship leaders next target it 16th place man Heifeld.
Lap 8 - Top 8 - Fisichella, M.Schumacher, Raikkonen, Alonso, Button, Villenuve, Coulthard and Klien.
Montoya gets passed Heifeld after picking up a good slipstream on the way up the hill and is now chasing 15th place man Scott Speed.
Lap 9 - Montoya is really moving now and passes Speed like he's not even there in a similar move to the one he pulled off on Heifeld.
Lap 10 - Trulli moves into the points after cleanly dispatching Klien on the run up the hill heading toward the Start/finish line. Further down the order Montoya does it again, this time his victim has changed but his weapon of choice is still the same. Albers is the one who loses out to the flying Columbian on this occasion.
Lap 11 - Speed and Heifeld battle it out into turn 1 and Heifeld comes out in front of the Torro Rosso and is now 16th.
Lap 12 - Massa gets passed R.Schumacher after being stuck behind the Toyota for a couple of laps. The local boy is now 10th.
Lap 13 - Trulli becomes retirement number 2 as yet another engine gives up the ghost, this means Klien is now running 8th. Behind them on the race track Montoya has negotiated his way past Liuzzi and now has he sight firmly set on 11th place man Monterio.
Lap 14 - 1 lap after his teammate R.Schumacher retires with exactly the same problem and caps off a terrible weekend for Toyota. Meanwhile the championship leader continues to make good headway and after picking up a slipstream and passing Liuzzi on to turn 1 he then gets a good run on Monterio down the following straight and moves up yet another position and lies in 9th just outside the points.
Lap 15 - Button is the first to pit and comes in from 5th and drops down to 9th place just ahead of Montoya.
Lap 16 - M.Schumacher pits from 2nd and is now down in 5th. Behind him Raikkonen pits from 3rd and is back out in 8th behind Massa who is yet to pit.
Lap 17 - Alonso pits from 2nd and gets out ahead of Raikkonen who he has managed to pass in the pits, good work by the Renault mechanics there.
Lap18 - Full run down - Fisichella, M.Schumacher, Klien, Massa, Alonso, Raikkonen, Button, Montoya, Liuzzi, Villenuve, Heifeld, Coulthard, Monterio, Barrichello, Sato, Rosberg, Albers, Speed, Ide.
Klein gets caught in traffic which gives Massa the opportunity he needs to get past and he grabs it with both hands.
Lap 19 - Raikkonen gets his place back of Alonso by selling him a dummy on the way down to turn 1 allowing him to pass on the inside.
Lap 20 - Fisichella pits from 1st and given the lead he has is able to come out still in the lead. Klien also pits on this lap and drops back down to 12th.
Lap 21 - Massa pits from 3rd place and is now lying in 6th a long way behind Button.
Lap 22 - Montoya pits and is now running down in 11th as a result. This means that as it stands Fisichella will be crowned Champion.
Lap 23 - Top 8 - Fisichella, M.Schumacher, Alonso, Raikkonen, Button, Massa, Villenuve and Barrichello.
Lap 27 - Barrichello is not willing to give up on this race yet and is now 7th after putting a move on Villenuve's BMW.
Yet another engine decides to pack it in for the day, this time it's the Ferrari power plant in the back of Speeds Torro Rosso.
Lap 28 - M.Schumacher loses time lapping Rosberg which gives Fisichella some much needed breathing space.
Lap 30 - Coulthard moves up into the points after passing Villenuve who appears to be struggling out there now.
Lap 33 - Championship contenders update: Fisichella 1st, M.Schumacher 2nd, Massa 6th, Barrichello 7th and Montoya 11th.
Montoya just about manages to squeeze his Mclaren past Klien into the Senna S but the Red-bull driver certainly didn't give him much room.
Lap 36 - And he's done it, Fisichella has won the race and in the process the championship. He rally did show why he is the ****of the field hear today after leading every single lap of the race. He was pushed hard to the end by a number of drivers but was fortunate enough to be starting on pole today knowing his nearest rival was way back in 22nd and after the 1st lap you couldn't see anyone taking this title away from him.

Redders1989 wins a place in the HoF for winning the Sim season. Well done to kipi19 and cjek too for being the team that won the constructors' championship.
Before this topic disappears of the front page never to be seen again i would just like to say a few things about the simulated season.
Firstly thank you for sticking with me and all the other people who hosted the game as until you have done this you can't appreciate how much time and effort goes into running a game like this, although the fact it was called the winter season and ended in the height of Summer may give a good idea. After showing no real interest in the competition when it started i have to say i really enjoyed running the games (when i could find the time) and do regret not entering. I hope you did take the time to read my commentary as it took alot of work even if wasn't as well written as someone like kimi's.
Secondly i would like to offer a couple of ideas i had whilst hosting the games that may mean we get it completed before the real season starts if we run it again:
Obviously given how long it took this year, and that only a small number of people seemed to follow the last few race, i don't know whether you will run the simulated season again but hopefully my ideas might help if you do chose to start it up next year and i am willing to offer my services to help run the games if you need.
I like those ideas. I'll remember to check back here just before I set up the next one to remind myself of what you put. I'll probably take TannerRules' job of mixing the grid up for next year, and then - as you say - keep a few others from making selections for a certain time period.
How many people here would be buying F1 2009 for the Wii? I'm just thinking as to whether we'd be able to do the sim season on that next year, or if I'm gonna be the only one getting it (because I myself couldn't host this, I'm just setting it up for the F1PU members after all).
Quite frankly I don't really mind as to how many people run the races, just so long as it can be complete within the 18 weeks (if on 2006)/17 weeks (if on 2009) before the start of the season. If we can fill all the places before that period, then we can start it a lil' earlier which would give us more freedom time-wise.
