Perhaps your teammate has not yet set a time. Time is perhaps initialized to a zero time because it is easier to display a time that is not feasible than display to "No Time."

He's talking about when you click on Team Mate and at the top it says 00:00:00.

Want to win the Championship on Expert mode?

Well here's your solution!

I was with McLaren in my third season and won the Championship, they didn't renew my contract so I had to go to RBR with all my R&D work at McLaren for nothing. My Expert Championship season results (I don't remember all of them):

Bahrain:

Qualified 9th

Race:

Finished 1st
Hamilton 2nd
Kobayashi 3rd
Sutil 4th

Button, Alonso, Webber Retired (courtesy of crashing into the back of me)

Australia:

Qualified 12th

Race:

Finished 24th (disqualified)

1st Button

Alonso, Hamilton, Webber Retired (I took them out on purpose, I know Australia shouldn't be that hard but I really couldn't keep up with them due to the not being affected by fuel)

Championship Standings:

1st Button 25 Points
2nd Me 25 Points

I'll have a crack at Malaysia Qualifying tomorrow.

Finished 4th (got up to 2nd, pitted, then Alguersuari didn't pit and Chandhok was uncatchable :( )

Crashed out 11 drivers then got disqualified (AI too damn fast and not affected by fuel)

Also, Webber still has 0 points, I made sure of that because he keeps getting Pole position.

Expert mode is too damn hard especially with AI not being affected by fuel and being able to pit on lap 9 of a 11 lap race (20%) whilst runnig on soft tyres. Also, on the long straight in China, drivers such as Alonso were really fast on the straights. I had to give them space on the outside, then when alongside, I would hit them into the wall with then out.
I almost won 3 times in China and was catching up to the leader on lap 8 pf 11 before I got a puncture, this happened 3 times. I had to settle for 4th.

It's lucky if I get any points, if it's a track that the AI is too damn fast on, I have to make them retire to keep the points at the top the same.

I hope that I can finish ahead of Lewis in Monaco, might have to retire more drivers here.

Ya that "bug" is incredibly annoying how an AI can go 90% of the race on soft tires and still be setting faster lap times.

I was racing at Monza and I got 1 puncture and then immediately got a 2nd within seconds of each other. That's never happened to me, and I didn't go off at all. Earlier today I got a puncture at turn 1 at the start without going off or making contact with anyone :lol: Thank god they are fixing the likelyhood of them in the patch.

Another thing that is a pain is racing online is against someone with a shotty connection. I've crashed/went off trying to avoid a player's car that was lagging and then he'll warp back in front and you getting screwed over big time. Or I've had it where I've hit them and got a penatly for it and they'll warp back to being a second or so in front. It's hard enough racing clean online but when they bounce all over the place it's even more of a pita :lol:

I find RB incredibly understeery, I'd go with McLaren but its personal preference. I have to share my PS3 and I'm really starting to get into Medal Of Honor, so still on first season, in Monza lying 1st in the championship with Lotus after a DNF from Webber. Him and Vettel collided at the first corner in Spa and Vettel barreled over me. It was waaay cool.

Everyone seems to be posting assists and whatnot so here I am:

100% Distance, Long weekend, custom difficulty with:

4 flashbacks, tyre wear on, fuel sim off, legend AI, med. TCS, no ABS, full racing line for practice, none for Qualy/Race, manual 'box.

*bleep* punctures are so annoying, been caught with at least 1 every race. Glad it's being patched!

So I should stick with the McLaren?
I'm thinking of staying with one team and doing R&D then on the 7th and last season, I'll attempt to win Expert because this should be when my car is at its best.

Halfway through the race, I have to stop for 15 mins amd then I resume. I don't do the whole weekend in one sitting!

Still don't see peoples' annoyances with punctures. I have gotten three: both tires after hitting the wall and one tire after hitting another car. Maybe I'm just silky smooth like BUT.

Made it to Hungary (in an RBR), won at Bahrain, Canada and Hockenheim.
Puntures are frustrating, especially when you are leading. I had to restart races because of this.
10 points in front of Rosberg who has 92 points.
Webber qualifies on pole almost every race, I ram him off so he only has 63 points.
I had a great race in Monaco, started 13th, heavy rain, got to 2nd, span then got to 3rd, span, down to 4th, Massa crashes and loeses front wing, I narrowly pass him.
In 3rd and Petrov fast catching, on the last lap he attempts to overtake on the last corner, I wasn't having any of it so veered left and he went into the wall, he was out :D
In Canada I started 4th with one qualy lap. Race day, I dominated there, the AI eally slow at the chicanes (which this cicuit is full of), I won but forgot to turn assists off so I had to restart all my hard work, I eventually did it and remembered to turn it off.
Hockenheim was easy, pole position (first of the season) by 0.065 seconds with Button behind.
The first corner the AI brakes too much for which is where I gain 1.5 seconds can be taken nearly flat out). I lose some time in sector 2 because of the stragihts, I end up pulling away from the AI by 0.9 seconds a lap. The pit phase was where I kept restarting, I pit on lap 3 (20% race) and Button pits too, I pit before him and a force india passes which makes the lollipop man hold you there, Button gets ahead of me and the field passes us too.
I restart and pit on lap 4, this is when most of the field pits so I got held up aagain.
I decide to be nice to my tyres and make it to lap 5 with them only orange and the left front red, I pit and come out behind in 4th, the guys in front pit and I win :D
It was tough though, I had to keep changing wing (+ for sector 1 and 3 and - for sector 2).

F1 2010 Patch News:

Update: The team have been hard at work and as a result we have now completed all internal testing on the patch.

The patch is now in submission with Microsoft and Sony for all 3 platforms, and once this process has been successfully completed the patch will be released, ready for you to download. Keep an eye out on the forums, facebook, and twitter, as we'll let you know as soon as it's ready to download. Helios

Singapore, Suzuka, Korea, Brazil and Abu Dhabi left and thats my season so far :P, 42pts clear of Webber going into Singapore, I could take the title in Korea should things go to plan :)

I get punctures at the worst times, coming out of the pits.
When I get punctures, I hope for them to be when I enter the pits because it's quite rare to get two in one race.
Since F1 2009, China has been giving me a crap load of punctures.

A little update on my Career.

Hungary:

Qualified 12th

Race:
Finished 24th (disqualified)

Hungary was too tough, I was surprised that I even got 12th.
I gain lots of time on the AI in sector 1 (they lift off for the third corner) but lose so much in 2, I'm okay in sector 3.
Then came race day.
It was frustrating, I often get caught out on the last corner (into the wall).
Occasionally the AI crash there (Schumacher, Hulkenberg and Kubica crashed there).
Or when I'm doing really well (ahead of nearest rival in the points, Rosberg who started 6th) I get held up in the pits.
After 1 and a half hours of failing, I decide enough is enough.
I did what I usually do on unbeatable races.
I quit, wrote down my nearest rivals and entered the race and carefully crashed them out without being disqualified. What I did was wait to get lapped and on the start/finish straight, I would wait by the side and then move over and they would hit my back (I would get no warning for some reason. Seems like you only get warning/penalties if they hit your side or front)
I took out 5 of the nearest apart from Button (I bounced off his side and got disqualified)
I was still leading the WDC by 10 points as Rosberg got crashed out.

Spa:

Qualified 1st!

Race:
To be done tomorrow

Spa qualifying was torrential rain and I found that the AI is really slow in the rain (especially heavy rain) for some reason (I went from 13th to 3rd in Monaco heavy rain).
I took pole by a good 4.3 seconds with a single lap.
I did a 2:01.385.

Race strategy:
The race is a dry one so I will put on Prime tyres and go till lap 7 and keep the AI behind me.
They will pit and get held up by each other (the front runners will be most affected) and I will gain lots of time.
I will then pit on lap 7 of 9 on to Options and win.

Spa:

Race: Finished 3rd

1st Hamilton
2nd Rosberg
4th Alonso

Spa was very annoyed by the AI pitting so late on options.
I was 2nd on the last lap and pushed it too hard, I span and Rosberg overtook me, I dropped to 3rd, Alonso almost overtook me too.
At this point, I'm 7 points ahead of Rosberg so he's caught up by 3 points.

Monza:

Qualified 2nd

Race: Finished 4th

1st Button
2nd Schumacher
3rd Kubica
5th Massa
6th Pedro De La Rosa
7th Rosberg

It was heavy rain again for qualifying, the AI are definitely much slower in the rain. I took 2nd, 0.235 seconds behind Webber.
The race was dry and I overtook Webber into the first corner on Primes.
I held everyone back. Lap 4 and Hamilton made a move, I hit him into a wall, he still finished the race but out of the points. He only lost his front wing.
I pitted on lap 9 out of 11( my Primes were just turning yellow!), The AI managed to pit on lap 7 with Options which was frustrating.
I come out of the pits 4th with Massa alongside me (5th). I overtake him at the first corner and into sector 2 we are side by side, he touches the gravel and spins in front of me, I manage to avoid it and lots of cars pile up. He manages to keep his position though. I was fast gaining on Kubica in 3rd, I finished the race 4th behind Kubica.
Button and Rosberg equal on points in 2nd and I lead by 13 points.

So overall, a good session of gaming today as I head into Singapore for the next race weekend...

Singapore:

Qualified 9th

1st Alonso

I tried for a good 45 minutes to finish the 20% race but with people crashing I was getting penalties for overtaking CRASHED drivers.
I managed to get to 2nd on the first lap several times but was taken off by AI spinning and hitting into me from the back.
At one point, I was almost into 1st at one point but the AI turned into me as I attempted an overtake causing me to spin.
I gave up so had to crash.
I crashed the right people out but Alonso won the race as I was disqualified.
My lead was reduced by 1 point but Alonso overtook both Button and Rosberg in the standings after being behind by quite a bit! Seems a bit like real life.
My lead remains over 2nd place (Alonso) by 12 points.


Suzuka:

Qualified 24th (10 place grid penalty from 21st, crashed four drivers close to me in the Championship)

Race: Finished 24th (disqualified)

1st Alguersuari
2nd Sutil

Suzuka was my favourite track but I found the RBR to be very understeery here and the McLarens dominated.
The race was wet (Intermediates) and I found my self up to 13th on the 1st lap, the problem is, after an hour of trying, I kept getting penalties from bumping into the AI.
I gave up and went back to crashing the AI.


Going into Korea, a track that I'm not really fond of or good at, ALL 24 drivers were still in title contention.

Korea:

Qualified 24th

Race: Finished 24th (disqualified)

1st Schumacher
2nd Kubica
3rd De La Rosa

Korea was one of the longest because the track was so long.
I managed to take out all the drivers that were at least 30 points or less behind me in the Championship. I took out three drivers on the first lap (the AI,s second lap, they were coming round to lap me), I took out Button, then Massa into the back of him. My car spun and Schumacher hit my front. I got no penalty surprisingly and didn't suffer any damage what so ever. I even took out some drivers that I didn't need to take out. All together I took out 11 drivers
The race ended but I was yet to finish my lap and as I saw Kubica in front of me, I remembered reading on this forum that after a driver finishes a race, and you take him out, he'll finish as DNF and last. I decided to test this, and as I did, I smashed both me and Kubica into the wall.
I was mortified, after all my hard work, I would have to restart it as I needed to turn my driver aids off!
I gave it another go, and 30 minutes later of trying and failing, I finally did it! I only managed to take out the crucial drivers but my lead remained at a nice 12 points with the only change in the top ten standings being that Schumacher over took Pedro De La Rosa for 8th.

So, the top four (that's all I could remember)

1st Me 129 Points (not much, I know)
2nd Alonso 117 Points
3rd Button 116 Points (more wins than Rosberg)
4th Rosberg 116 Points

24th Senna 10 Points (some good points for the HRT)

Brazil:

Qualified 9th

Race: To be done tomorrow.

The race was hard despite being good at the circuit.
My tyres wore out so quickly so I decided to crash off the nearest drivers. I got disqualified before getting a chance at Liuzzi.
Liuzzi winning put him 9 points behind me and 2nd in the Championship.
It would be tough at Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi:

Qualified 24th (skipped to race)

Race: 24th (disqualified)

1st Kobayashi
2nd Chandhok
3rd Massa

I got really lucky here. I crashed out lots of drivers on my first lap (the AI's second lap) on the straight. I got disqualified but the stupid driver that moves the car for you when disqualified took out Rosberg and Liuzzi for me too by weaving all over the place.
Massa coming 3rd worried me as that put him equal on points with me. To my pleasant surprise, I had more wins than Massa and GOT THE TROPHY!!!!!

Not sure you can call that epically tight since you were DSQ'd in the final five races. Rather Buttonesque, minus the silky smoothness. Let's analyze: 1st/DSQ/DSQ/4th/DNF/???/???/1st/???/???/1st/DSQ/3rd/4th/DSQ/DSQ/DSQ/DSQ/DSQ Somewhere in those ??? lies a total of17 points. Sad little king of a sad little hill.

Not sure you can call that epically tight since you were DSQ'd in the final five races. Rather Buttonesque, minus the silky smoothness. Let's analyze: 1st/DSQ/DSQ/4th/DNF/???/???/1st/???/???/1st/DSQ/3rd/4th/DSQ/DSQ/DSQ/DSQ/DSQ Somewhere in those ??? lies a total of17 points. Sad little king of a sad little hill.XSamFisherX

Apparently, the patch for the game has been released!
I had a look on the official forum and everyone's talking about it!

CM haven't updated the sticky though, probably because it's Sunday.

As dabest2500 has stated, the patch has been released. However, this is only for the PS3. As of yet, the patch is NOT available to anyone who has the 360 or PC version.

Yeah, it's punishment for you PC modders :P

It seems like another glitch has emerged, Prime tyres have a green ring around them and the Options have no ring around them. This has happened to me in 3 out of 5 race so far...

Hey, I'm on the 360, I ain't no PC modder! :lol:

Whilst that does seem to be the case for some people, surely you'd rather have something like that than be held up in the pits until everyone had passed you? I won't be too fussed if the green ring appears on the wrong tyres when the patch comes out for us.

I won't like it if, like my last race, the team decide I should go for option tyres on a wet track!

Im a little confused.... you got the legenday trophy while ,not having all the rules off  ,so the traction control you'd set off????

When you start the season, you need to have the difficulty on Expert.

Then, when you do practice, you can turn all the aids required on, before the session finishes, or before you return to padock, you need to turn them all off again.

Repeat for qualifying and the race.
Remember to turn them back off again.

Not sure if this works with the patch out though.

The patch for the 360 and PC has yet to be passed by Microsoft.

Helios, from the CodeMasters boards, writes the following:

Update: Can confirm that the patch has now been released by SCEE (Sony Europe) & SCEJ (Sony Japan), I'll update asap when I can confirm patch ETA's for SCEA (Sony America) and Xbox 360 & PC users.

Full patch notes will also be released early this week for the PS3, with Xbox 360 and PC patch notes to be posted when we hear word that the patch for those two platforms has passed submission with Microsoft.Helios

Wow, the patch is awesome. Here are a few fixes I've noticed:

-Pitstops take no longer than 5s for a standard wheel change, even if pits are moderately busy

-Damage affects AI cars now

-Slipstreaming works

-The reflections on the cars and the mirrors now run at game speed (although chances are this was a PS3 only issue anyway)

-When it's wet, damn, it's wet.

-Punctures no longer seem to happen every race.

-Fuel now affects all cars.

-AI is no longer invincible on Catalunya (Or is that just me :P)

Those were a few that I could notice (and remember). However, I don't know if it's just me, but the AI are now (unfortunately) much less aggressive and a bit slower than before, but other than that, it's great!

I think I may have to give the old F1 2010 a boot tommorow to see how the game is now. Have we got any confirmation on R&D fix as I dont want to start changing that and find that my save corrupts :(

My understanding is the corrupt save file thing only happened to the PS3. As for the Catalunya thing, think it is just too fast - best lap I've done so far is a 1:24.6, I'm hearing CPU doing times of 1:23.0 so... yeah.

The patch for the 360 is still not available yet, Garfield. However, patch info has just been released by Helios. You can find it in the next post.

Any ideas on when the Xbox patch will be landing?

Sounds like a lot of fixes but all for the good in my books.
