Has anyone completed IA-10? What driver setting are you using, I keep spinning out.mjk1
How have you already gotten that far
I put in 30 minutes of concentration and now I've gotten Gold in iC-10.
I took first at the final corner, I was so scared as I touched the other car a little.
I now hav Gold in National B, National A and Internation C.
I haven't attempted International B yet.

Its because I haven't got gold in all of them like you, I don't know how you do it.Â
Is that the one with the Lambo?SchumiF1
yup, I saw a youtube video which helped. Haven't managed to complete it yet but I should be able to.
I use to really struggle with License tests in GT4, I would just get bronze and then move on.
I find that the License tests really help improve your driving technique.
The ghost helps you to beat your times in License tests too.
Your rewards are prize cars :D
Don't give up, you'll eventually get your Golds.
If you can't do a particaular Gold, like me in International C, I just stopped doing it after 1 hours of trying, did some races and came back to do it again the next day.
After a while, License tests are fun :P
IA-10 is real tricky. Need to be on like the edge of your seat to be so precise without spinning out.
I got my S license. But I've only mainly been doing license and special events  I only give a few attempts at gold before I move on, gets too frustrating lol. I'll go back and try to gold them all though (hopefully) I only have 3 bronzes, so I'll finish those off, to atleast get silver and the rest are split between gold and silver.
The AI can be really frustrating, they hit you and you are instantly DQ'd because they fail to yield at all.
Damn people already have videos up!? :lol:SchumiF1

Ah, thanks for that.
It seems like this guy has almost done them all
Other guy has better quality though :P
Sweet pics. I'll upload mine when I get the chance.
A few of the tests I barely got silver and dunno how I'm going to find another 3 tenths for gold.

Use your ghost as motivation.
I will post some of my replays on to Youtube to try and help some of you.
Here your chance to get a Jaguar XJ13 Chrome Line car for GT5. Go to this Link and follow the instruction (GTPlanet Link) Its a game you have to play to win the car. Kazunori Yamauchi has been fielding questions from fans on Twitter over the past few hours. The tweets are in Japanese, but with a little help from Google and medhi_san, we can get a pretty good idea of what he's talking about. Here's the highlights:
As always, it is refreshing and exciting to see Yamauchi's interactions with fans via Twitter. Let's hope the medium continues to be a valuable open line into Polyphony Digital as GT5 to evolves!

I just got mine, the facebook game is so dammed buggy.
It took me 45 minutes to do it!
I would like to see the youtube feature added. However this seems more like a "list of stuff we might put into GT6 if this game doesnt sell". If this is the case then I am pesemistic we will see these features as GT5 has sold quite well I expect and so the need for these updates and changes is not really there if the game has sold regardless of metacritic and user feedback. People will get this game even if it got 1 out of 10 on every review site as it has that brand name that a Final Fantasy, Halo, Mario etc has in terms of people will buy it regardless.
I am enjoying it but it disapoints me that these features have been considered but not added but "might" be added in the future. My negative side says we wont as we get a lot of talk from this studio but little walk to back the walk up.
@Garfield: We only have to wait for a couple of weeks to see if we get an mechanical damage patch according to Kaz. I think we will see a good few updates from that list because god knows how long they will take to release GT6. I'm pretty certain we will get DLC content. They allready have that crappy facebook game where you can get a free Jag, so i'm pretty sure we'll get more substancial DLC in the future.
Regarding the youtube thing, I doubt that iy will be implemented.  Rendering videos in a good quality takes forever even if your computer has a good processor I dont think someone wants to sit half an hour in front of the PS3 and wait until the video is done.  Â
Local school (Queensferry High) has been shut all week due to snow (up to my knees!), so all week I've been playing Forza 3. I love that game, it's about the only game I play on my Xbox. Really it was just to give me something to do until Christmas, when the "main event" arrives!
This free-roam mode sounds really cool, and funnily enough, yesterday my brother was on his normal strop about "GT5's boring" or "It looks so rubbish" or "It's not that realistic, you can't even get out your car!" Well HA bro, Kaz is too cool for you.
There's some trophies to be earned through the use of photo mode.
The secret trophies, well, four of them anyways.

I don't mind, it's the racing that counts.
You don't buy a RACING game for the free roam, that's what you expect in Need For Speed or something.
You buy GT5 for the hardcore simulation, anything else is a bonus.
Here are the Endurance races in GT5. I don't know how i'm going to do these, especially the last 2.
There are 9 races again. They are unlocked after you reach Lv 25.
300 Kilometres Grand Valley (Level 25)
4 Hours Tsukuba (Level 26)
200 Miles Laguna Seca (level 27)
Indy 500 Miles [Level 28]
1000 Kilometres Suzuka (Level 30)
4 Hours Nurburgring (Level 32)
9 Hours Tsukuba (Level 33)
24 Hours Le Mans (Level 35)
24 Hours Nurburgring (Level 40)
Got all golds for the licenses. IC-10 is definitely the most annoying/difficult one. Saved that one for last :lol:SchumiF1
Well done :D
Must have been tough, you deserved it :)
If IC-10 was the toughest, I think I should be alright :)

:o Are you using a wheel ? Its going to be almost impossible for me to get all golds for licenses, I might not even attempt it. :(
I use the wheel, but I used controller for two of the Licenses so far.
The one where you drive a 350Z at the US GP and again at IB-2.
Nope, I used the trusty DS3. For a lot of the tests it helps to adjust the driving options (TC, ABS, etc), just need to find the right one that fits you and that particular challenge.
The special events are going to be real tough though to get all golds in. I made quite a bit of credits from doing the special events. You can only do them once (if you gold it) but they give you a ton of credits and exp. Feels weird I haven't done much of racing, just the tests lol.

Just when you thought you'd explored every nook and cranny of GT5 Prologue and finally laid the game to rest, it's back from the dead with one more surprise up its sleeve: a super-secret "Special" menu. As revealed by @Mathieulh on Twitter, the Special menu gives you access to lots of hidden features. Notably, it shows several more tracks in the game such as the Nurburgring Nordschleife, Circuit de la Sarthe, and Tsukuba (though they can't actually be selected). You can make all the cars available, create a race and specify the make and model of each of your opponents, tinker with visible menu options, and more.
Admittedly, there aren't any major bombshells here – especially since we already have GT5 in our hands. However, this may be how some kiosks and demos were running "GT5 Prologue" versions of the Nurburgring and La Sarthe (perhaps they're accessible with other codes?), and it is frustrating to imagine those tracks may have been on our Prologue discs while we were waiting for the full game.
To see the menu for yourself, go to the Prologue's options and scroll down to the "Miscellaneous" category. While holding down the R1 and L1 buttons, press the following:

Next, press the START button, and the "Special" category will appear below the Miscellaneous. To see the menu in action, here's a video. Don't bother attempting this in the full version of GT5. It doesn't work, but there may be a similar menu hiding in there, somewhere…

It could be possible they were in the download updates for the Prologue game. There is about 6 gigs of data from that game on my hard disk so there is a chance they were on there but PD decided to work on the full game rather than keep updating the prologue edition. I dont know though, that is just a guess.
What disapoints me is the lack of any move from the Prologue to full in terms of content transfer as I have a rather nice NSX on the Prologue edition that would go down well on the full but I cant keep it due to there being nothing transfered :(

I should be the sad one, spent ages grinding for money in GT5 Prologue and GT PSP.
I bought all the cars for nothing then...
You can get them off the PSP though!
It is a pain in the bum about GT5P though as I got a few credits to go and some cars that would have helped a lot. Ah well, I may delete the data off my hard disk soon so I can try and stop it filling up. Dang 650mb update for Socom :(

Yeah but they're only for arcade mode.
I tried them and they are upscaled very badly...
I spent about 30 minutes on Top Gear, the Lotus one.
The last time I did that was 4 days ago where I gave up on it after comfortably getting 2nd.
This was so frustrating, I got up to 1st once, then span at the 3rd last corner after leading with 1.1 seconds.
I blame my heart for beating like mad.
I then got up to 1st another time, this time, a much better attempt, I was leading with 1.5 seconds before touching a cone at Chicago...
Then I cleared my mind of frustration and tried again very cautiously, I got up to first, then pushed a little to stop 2nd from catching up. I ended up winning by 1.5 seconds.
I then attemptedthe final Top Gear challenge, much easier andmore enjoyable than the Volkswagen one.
It was like a destruction derby, I was coming to overtake 7th into the first corner when an AI hits him out of the way.
I don't want to spoil anything so I will stop there.
I've now gotten a Gold in IA!
It took 3 hours to Gold IA-6 to IA-10.
IA-10 was much easier and more enjoyable than IC-10 though.
The tough bit of IA-10 was the AI, the Lambo kept on running wide and hitting me, every attempt...
I did IA-1 to IA-5 yesterday for 2 hours.
I then had a quick look at S and saw that every License was a race...
I tried S-1 for a quick non serious look and got Gold after 4 attempts...
With a controller...
I'd disconnected my wheel and everything so just decided to have a little look.
The S licence was really easy to gold. The only one I didn't get gold in 1 or 2 attempts were Suzuka and and S-4, the one where you have the old Ferrari race car. The Ferrari one being the more annoying of the two. I just turned off some aids at Suzuka and that made it much easier.
I too was disappointed that they didn't have any cross over from GT: P but I still enjoyed playing GT: P. So I don't look at it as time wasted.

Yeah, I've had a look at some Youtube videos and this person admits to be a bad driver and even does mistakes whilst Golding the S License.
This person wanted to prove that even a bad driver can Gold the S License.
When I first saw that every License was a race, I felt like ripping my eyeballs out.
But now it seems so easy.
I won't be playing my Ps3 for a while though, I got mock exams for the next two weeks, then I go to China for holiday, then I have more exams in January...
Having trouble with Historic Racing Car Cup and Gran Turismo All Stars (Expert Series) Any car tips?

I used my Mazda 787B (Stealth Edition, from the Signature Edition).
I tried giving my Lamborghini something (the one that looks like a Countach) steroids but I still can't beat the likes of the Toyota 7...
