Wait?
It's not delayed?
Damn, I'm actually disappointed.
I hoped for Friday :(
Wednesday is when I have extra lessons after school and it'll be very dark by the time I get home :(

No, I meant that on the way home it will be very dark.
I'll have to go from school to Game then back home.
It's Winter so it gets dark very quickly and I live in an area where crimes are usual.
Ah would you not be able to order it online? I can understand you wanting to get it from a shop as I am like that now, I prefer to pay a little more if need be to have the game in my hands rather than flap around waiting for online orders to get dispatched. Buying from the shop has that sense of nice feeling for some reason about it.Garfield360UK
I've never bought a game from online before and it probably won't arrive on time.
Most importantly, I'm buying the Signature edition which will make my mum and dad go mad if they've realised I've spent so much on a game.

When I pre-ordered the Signature edition from Game, I had to pay a £10 deposit.

Amar212, infamous GT insider and founder of Croatian fan-site GT Surgeons, finally has his hands on a copy of Gran Turismo 5! Instead of sharing pictures or videos, though, he's focused on providing hard-core fans with all the details in a comprehensive and thorough review of the game. This review isn't about comparing it to other racers or whether or not the title is worth your money – it's a detailed study of how each new feature in GT5 actually works and how the gameplay unfolds.
Better yet, Amar's review is going on right now, and you can watch his journey through the game as he shares several updates throughout the day. If you're concerned about "spoilers", don't worry – "sensitive" information such as prize cars are carefully marked, and he has taken care to ensure the game's remaining surprises stay under wraps.
He already posted three updates on Wednesday – click here to watch his review unfold throughout the week. Thank you, once again, Amar, for your awesome service to the community of GT fans around the world!

Yeah and you don't get the guy trying to upsell you on stuff you don't need. "I see you are buying GT5. Perhaps you would enjoy Destruction Derby 64 for $10.99. Or maybe try out Mario Kart, we have SNES, N64 and Wii versions for $39.99."XSamFisherX
Lmao, so true Sam.

According to emails I've received from retail employees around the world (and this Signature Edition unboxing video from GAME), shipments of Gran Turismo 5 are already being delivered in preparation for Wednesday's big launch. There's even widespread reports that one store in France – which I won't name – has informed its customers they'll be able to pick up their copy today (Friday), but we'll have to wait and see if that pans out… For now, check out this batch of more than 750 copies of GT5 delivered to a store in Canada. Thanks to Anthony for the pictures!

Youtube - Gran Turismo 5 Signature Edition Unboxing
Video game retailer GAME.co.uk has received shipment of the Gran Turismo 5 Signature Edition, and shares this "unboxing" video to reveal what's inside. Owning the Signature Edition of the game, of course, grants you access to the GT5 SLS AMG Challenge, where you can compete in-game to win your own real-world SLS AMG. The SE is still in stock and available for pre-order at GAME.

God damn, the SE box is as big as a console box....SchumiF1
I thought it was one of those deals where you get games with a PS3.
I didn't watch it so I don't know.
I don't know if you guys remember the thread on slipstreaming boosting the car ahead and the invention of the word "nudgee", but in one of the GT5 videos that man from NASCAR explains it really well. Here's a link (the rest of it's pretty good too):

Just a heads up that GT 5 has a 10Gb install which will take about 40-50 mins. This is not mandatory (256Mb mandatory) but it will probably reduce loads times if you did a full install.mjk1
Just like the PSP version.
This is a good idea.
Out of interest, does your Gran Turismo 5 Prologue game have any impact on the full version? I.e. do I get to keep my cars and credits that I have unlocked?Garfield360UK
I think you get to only keep the cars.
Ah shame, well anything is a bonus really. It will just be a shame if there is no connectivity at all but not a supprised given how much development this game has had.
I think this will be my next game buy anyway. I had a go on Prologue last night online and event mode and it was pretty fun bar when I was challenging to win the Daytona race and some idiot decided to ram the side of me forcing me into a spin on the last corner thus finishing 5th!

Hopefully GT5 will have nice, clean races.
Unlike in F1 2010.
BTW, I've finished F1 2010 100% :D
Hopefully GT5 will have nice, clean races.Yeah, unlikely. Are there car setups?
Unlike in F1 2010.dabest2500
Ya unless you have a room full of friends or people you know race clean, there will never be such a thing as clean online races -_-
Even more annoying when you race someone clean the entire race or in prior races, they make a mistake or you make a run at them and they don't respect the fact at all you had raced them clean and take you right out....
I don't think they've officially said if anything will carry over from Prologue. Be sweet if stuff does :D
Haha, thats true. I dont mind mistakes but blatent running into the back of somebody or pushing them on the side when they are loosing position is not really sportsperson like, as I say with friends who agree to it then I have no qualms but with strangers on ranked races then its not really fair play.

Well, all the other Gran Turismos had it so I don't see why not.
I hate it when people critisise for racing dirty when actually its a failed overtake, i've had that so many times, its awkward as hell, but i've raced with clean people before now and they've just taken it on the chin :Pkipi19
Ya that is annoying, why I never make an attempt unless I know I can make it clean lol. But you can usually tell when it's just hard racing instead of blatantly cutting you off into the wall or off the track, or ramming the side of your car as you pass on the straight, etc.
Seems like you can choose 50 cars from the PSP version to import onto the Gran Turismo 5 Playstation 3 game.

They describe this between 2 and 3 minutes in I think.

You do know you can change these at any time right? Its better than nothing which was really what I expected given how many changes this game has had.

I wanted to import my entire garage!!!
Well you can do, you will just need to swap cars around. Yes its a pain but at least you will have access to all the cars from your garage.
Honestly though I doubt I will use more than 10 cars regularly as I have used maybe 2 or 3 so far on Forza 3 as I like to stick with the same cars to get used to them more than swapping around.

I spent 100+ hours playing GT PSP to collect all 835 cars!
Son, I'm disappoint...
Haha, I like the son phrasing.
I thought it was 200 cars on the PSP version so I can see why its annoying but surely you dont plan on using all 835 at the very begining?
I am disapointed by the lack of onboard camera though for the standard cars, I use onboard camera and for it to be on 20% of the cars in the game and nothing for the rest is very disapointing. I would not have minded a standard in car view for example like a truck one, a car one, a super car view etc rather than nothing at all

No but I wish to reap my rewards :(
A generic view would have been nice instead of nothing at all...
